Boasting a premier location in the closest one-bedroom column to the ocean at the entire Honua Kai Resort, Konea 348 offers fantastic vistas of the tranquil blue Pacific Ocean as well as views of Maui's neighbor island Lanai. Step outside onto the generous balcony and listen to waves lap against the shore because this suite is located only one unit back from oceanfront.
Your party will have plenty of space to relax in the 780 sq. ft. interior because this suite also offers one of the largest one-bedroom floor plans available at Honua Kai. To fully enjoy the warm Hawaiian breeze, fold away the glass doors to allow the relaxing interior to blend seamlessly with the outdoors.
When it's time to rest, the gentle Maui breeze will lull you into deep slumber in the primary bedroom's king-sized bed. If needed, the sofa converts to a queen-sized bed to accommodate an extra guest or two. The living room and primary bedroom both have a flat screen television if you want to catch your favorite show before you drift off.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance & utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients. Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.
Take pleasure in spending your days at the resort’s three-acre aquatic playground. With four separate swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, fountains, and four hot tubs, there will be no shortage of options for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
When it is time for a bite to eat, Honua Kai is home to the popular Duke’s Beach House, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Duke’s specializes in serving up Hawaiian-inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Should you wish to enjoy a refreshment by the water, poolside service is available. For coffee, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items, including beach gear and souvenirs, visit the Whalers General Store conveniently located in the Konea Tower lobby.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is located in the Konea Tower, perfect for guests looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.
Should you feel like pampering yourself with a refreshing massage or treatment, head to the Mana Ola Spa. This sanctuary within the resort weaves Hawaiian-inspired themes and ingredients into its wide array of signature treatments. Great place! Host was very responsive, informative and helpful!
The unit was comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. We enjoyed the high end appliances, and the really comfortable bed. The view was wonderful and we had all our meals outside on the generous lanai. It was helpful having a washing machine for rinsing out the bathing suits. It was a little frustrating that the resort next door was having some outside work done…concrete saws and equipment started at 8 am and carried on all day, so sitting outside was less pleasant. Also, the dryer wasn’t working. The management offered us complimentary laundry and although we appreciated the offer, we didn’t use it as our stay was so short. Altogether though, we had a most enjoyable week and we would rent the unit again in a heartbeat.
We had an amazing time staying at Honua Kai. The resort amenities were incredible for families, the property manager had all requested items (pack and play and booster) in the room for our anrrival and the views and beachfront access made this property stellar. The unit was clean, comfy, and beautiful we can’t wait to come back!

We found the property was as advertised and met basically all our needs. The grounds are very picturesque and well-kept. We enjoyed the provided beach chairs for sitting on the sand, but future travelers should note there is no umbrella which makes a full day at the beach a bit more difficult. There resort has a few umbrellas next to chairs around the pool, but those go very quickly in the mornings. If you can't get those or plan to hang out on the sand all day, stock up on your sunblock.
We were very happy with our stay! The unit was exactly as pictured as was the resort. You are right on the beach with amenities of the resort and the Beachwalk right out your door. The beach front was beautiful and we hiked it every day. Couldn't have been happier!
It’s not obvious from the listing but this is sort of a condo-hotel. Nice room with kitchen. Nice pools for kids. And an adjoining restaurant (Dukes) to serve you drinks and food poolside. It’s not a hotel though so don’t expect daily housekeeping or candle scented hallways. Can’t think of anything to complain about. I’m pretty well traveled! It was great.
Clean, good location
Apartment is very spacious and clean. Excellent place to stay! So handy to have in-suite washer and dryer when travelling with a baby. The carpets can smell a little musty due to the high humidity but it clears up when you alternate air con/opening the deck doors.
Loved our stay! Room was clean and comfortable! Well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom. The property management was superior!
Great location and true resort experience. The condo was everything we expected and even more. Furnishings were nice and condo was well decorated. We truly enjoyed the Nana doors and utilized the washer and dryer. If we had one gripe it was the pillows on the bed; not very comfortable. Would stay here again upon next Maui vacation.
