Hokulani 536 is a luxurious two-bedroom oceanview corner suite and one of the few offerings at Honua Kai that affords views of both scenes that Maui is famous for... the relaxing blue Pacific Ocean and the majestic West Maui Mountains.
The generous 1240 sq ft interior can accommodate up to six guests with a king-size bed in both the primary and guest bedrooms, and a queen-size convertible sofa sleeper in the living area. For added flexibility, the guest bedroom's king-size bed can be split into two XL twin-size beds at no charge. To further enhance your Maui experience, Hokulani 536 has been upgraded with locally-inspired custom artwork. In addition, the living room has been upgraded with beautiful furnishings.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance and utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients. In addition, our commercial-grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.
You will have plenty of space to stretch out and relax in the refreshing Maui outdoors because this suite offers an oversized 500+ sq ft lanai, one of the largest on the entire property, and perfect for soaking up the dramatic scenery while you dine, entertain, or simply relax. Enjoy your meals on the expansive lanai or dine indoors in the cool comfort of climate-controlled air conditioning.
Take pleasure in spending your days at the resort’s three-acre aquatic playground. With four separate swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, fountains, and four hot tubs, there will be no shortage of options for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
When it is time for a bite to eat, Honua Kai is home to the popular Duke’s Beach House, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Duke’s specializes in serving up Hawaiian-inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Should you wish to enjoy a refreshment by the water, poolside service is available. For coffee, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items, including beach gear and souvenirs, visit the Whalers General Store conveniently located in the Konea Tower lobby.
A state-of-the-art fitness center is located in the Konea Tower, perfect for guests looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.
Should you feel like pampering yourself with a refreshing massage or treatment, head to the Mana Ola Spa. This sanctuary within the resort weaves Hawaiian-inspired themes and ingredients into its wide array of signature treatments. We as a family have stayed at many VRBO listings. This one was by far the best we have EVER stayed at! BEAUTIFUL location, photos completely accurate - even better in reality, the condo was spotless, every amenity we could need, the resort was impeccable with extremely helpful staff, check in and out was a breeze and I loved the key pad instead of keys to get into the condo. Much easier than keeping up with keys. The resort was a very relaxed atmosphere even as busy as it was. We never felt rushed or crowded. It was our first time visiting Maui and I can be sure we will be back and looking forward to staying again.

We LOVED our stay in H536! It’s in the best location on the property with a more quiet corner unit, the most amazing ocean and mountain views and the biggest lanai! We will definitely be back. Maui Resort Rentals was so easy to work with and they made everything super easy!
The resort was very nice and conveniently located to Lahaina. Duke's was also a nice restaurant on site. The condo itself was great as well with comfortable beds and furnishings. The view and balcony are wonderful. Only negative comment is that they need to replace the frying pan. Maybe a set of non-stick would be in order. Otherwise, we would happily stay there again.
Loved this place as it was very clean and located in a great area, right on the beach with plenty of space, multiple pools and Duke's restaurant right on the property. It was also close walking distance to a food truck area that serves good food and across the street is a supermarket and rental car agencies. The place itself was super clean and we really appreciate that beach chairs, roller cooler and snorkel gear was provided in the suite. The balcony was large, clean and very nice to spend time on. If you're looking for a private place to stay in Maui and have some resort amenities, this is the place.
We loved our stay! The unit was very large and the lanai and views were breathtaking! We will definitely book this unit again!
I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Honua Kai 536. The unit is huge and the view from the enormous balcony was awesome with the ocean on one side and mountains on the other. The windows and doors to the balcony open completely for a really lovely open air feel. The most pleasant surprise was the unit was equipped with four beach chairs, a large beach umbrella, a wagon and cooler—this made our beach days so comfortable without having to rent these items for more $$. The price to rent seemed like a total steal compared to other places around. Duke’s restaurant on property is delicious with more great views. Because you’re renting through a third party rather than Honua Kai directly, if your unit has any issues the resort can’t help you BUT when we were out of shampoo or when the hair dryer broke, I just messaged the management company through the VRBO app and they had us resolved in no time. They were even able to accommodate a 9 PM late check out for a reasonable fee on our last day. The one and only gripe I have about the resort is there are not nearly enough chairs by the pool, it always felt like a rat race for a good pool chair but the beach was only steps away so this never dampened our time too much. Overall I would highly recommend this rental!!!
No storage for groceries in the kitchen. The AC didn’t work well outside the master bedroom.
