Yes, the host made sure everything was covered. The location is exceptional. Real tropical and secluded. Nice pool. Biggest disappointment was so many things didn’t work. The house is older and I get that, but. Most of the locks didn’t work properly. And some of the windows didn’t either. The stove wouldn’t light without a match. The lanai had no lights! The grill needs replacing.
The home had everything we needed during our stay - including all kitchen items and even some board games. The pool was the perfect size for our group and not too cold either :) the host was very responsive and check in and check out were a breeze. Would come back!
Power in living room kept tripping. We ran a extention cord from the island in the kitchen to the television so it wouldnt trip. Pool turnt green and was unable to utilize it for a week and when we did it was still a little green. The owner did send me flowers and gave me a gift card for the troubles
Nice
This house was so beautiful, and exactly how it’s listed. Communication was easy, and we were able to check in early. Holly recommend this property.
We stayed for 3 nights. We were in Hilo for our daughter's graduation. The property is beautiful and the house is amazing. Fully stocked with everything you need. The beds were so comfortable and with the sounds of nature we all slept amazing. The owners were sweet and helpful. The pool was great, we didn't have a chance to use due to all the rain that hit the island. Would love to go back!
Had a great time staying at this house! Was very clean and organized, pool was warm and clean, and I would happily stay there again. The one area for improvement would be the gardening / grounds keeping. I'd encourage the hosts to talk with the gardeners about cleaning up the gate area to the ocean (it's over grown) and the weeds around the hot tub extension. But both very minor on a scale of things.
Expensive, but worth it. We enjoyed every minute, and it was so incredible to come home to a little slice of paradise every afternoon after excursions. An acreage abutting the ocean seemed almost too good to be true (and to be fair, there are trade offs here). House is large with 3 full bedrooms and an upstairs area with a pull out couch. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels, kitchen reasonably stocked. Grill out on the lanai was perfect (we spent most of our time there). Could not get my younger daughter out of the pool ;) No property is perfect (although this came pretty close for us). It's a bit out of town (20 minutes is pretty accurate), Hilo side is of course a bit wet at times (but makes for a lush surrounding). We loved this part. Biggest trade off for us, was the lack of AC (which we knew about coming in). In spring, less of an issue, but for full sunny days the upstairs especially could get warm and then cooling things off could take a bit. You need to leave all windows that you can, open (some screens have small holes so we closed those). Plenty of sliding doors. My wife, called this luxury camping in a 3000 square foot house, and she's not far wrong. You get a great exposure to nature. In the summer, this may or may not be a bigger issue with the heat. We managed fine in March. Overall strong recommend.
Incredible property, great communication, would go back again with my family.
We stayed at this beautiful house for a week. The pictures didn’t do it justice. From the beautiful ocean views to the frogs chirping at night, we loved every minute. I think we turned the TV on once and spent most of our time on the lanai. The kitchen was more than well-stocked and there were plenty of towels and outdoor furniture. And did I mention the pool? The home is in a gated community and felt very private. It was fun walking the property and seeing the different fruit trees and flowers. The stay was truly an opportunity to unwind and unplug. The property manager/owner was super responsive throughout the booking process and stay. We are already planning our next trip.was super responsive
This is a great property, this is our second stay of 2 weeks each stay.
The house, grounds, and heated pool surpassed all expectations. My family of 4 adults and 2 children had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect for sightseeing and coming back to relax in the pool or patio. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely book again.
Lovely & quiet
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ocean, the pool, fire pit, large lounge spaces inside and outside, massage room, full kitchen, shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser, instant hot water, large kitchen counter, fast internet…it was everything and more. That part of hawaii is known for having lots of fireants and we didn’t see any. That was a huge relief. We would definitely book again!
We celebrated Labor Day weekend with family and friends on the Big Island. This rental fit all our needs and then some. From the relaxing views of the ocean and beautiful landscape to the pool, bbq grill and fire pit. What could you ask for? A jacuzzi? We can't wait to stay here again.
The house was great!
Great property for families or couples. Just be aware that it is a bit off the beaten path so driving to any of the sites we need to allow for some additional time.
We loved everything about our stay at this property. It was easy to book, the owners were great to deal with, they responded to every question quickly, the property was beautiful, the pool was important to us and did not disappoint, the birds in the morning and the frogs at night were fantastic to listen to, and the house fit all of us (7) comfortably. Loved our stay, would highly recommend.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this home!
The property is beautiful, we cook most of our meals and the kitchen is work friendly. We spent a lot of time on the patio playing cards and what a view, we could see whales breaching and patio being covered was very comfortable. We are returning next year for another stay!
