About this space
This newly renovated condo with new hard floors, new granite countertops, new cabinets, new appliances, etc. is located in the heart of Hilo at the Hilo Lagoon Center. Walking distance to downtown, restaurants, shopping, lagoons and Hilo Bay parks! Fully Air Conditioned, total amenities, 24 hour security bldg w/ pool.
This nice 2-bedroom condo (961 sq ft) offers the most desirable location in Hilo which is close to downtown and the beach, has outstanding views of Mauna Kea and other mountains, and has access to the stunning lake in Wailoa River State park just outside the building.
The space
This beautiful condo offers 3 lanais (one for each room) where you can oversee downtown area and has nice furniture throughout the unit. The condo has two bedrooms each with a private bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. The second bedroom has two full-size beds. The central kitchen and living room separates the bedrooms for privacy. Our fully stocked kitchen is convenient for cooking. The living room is very comfortable with a sofa bed and a dinning table with chairs for enjoying the entertainment of streaming TV and WiFi service.
Short drive to nearby attractions: Onekahakaha Beach Park (7 min); Carlsmith Beach Park (9 min); Richardson Ocean Park (12 min); Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens featuring a white tiger (12 min); Hawai‘i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden (15 min); Volcanoes National Park (39 min); Mauna Kea Visitor Center (43 min).
Other things to note
There is one A/C unit in each room (living room, master bedroom, second bedroom). There is a laundry room with coin operated laundry machines on the same floor for your use.
The condo building has an outdoor swimming pool that you are invited to use during your stay. Guests agree to follow Hilo Lagoon Centre Pool Rules, Mahalo!
ONE parking space is included for the duration of your stay with us.
Our Hilo Lagoon Condo is a non-smoking home. Quiet hours are between the hours of 9PM to 8AM.

The host is very friendly and communicative, and check in was easy. This is an older building, less glossy than a resort, but the units are large, the location is great, and price is right, including no parking fees which is awesome for Hawaii! The view from the lanais is of town, not the lagoon, but the unit is directly over the koi pond and it was fun watching them. The beds were very comfortable, wifi and AC worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Although this was in an older building, it was well-appointed with amenities including cooking equipment and dishes. The location is good.

Very cute condo with just about everything you could possibly need. Rooms were clean and the size was perfect for our group of 4. Condo hosts were generous, friendly, accommodating and even sent us some updates on the erupting volcano in case we wanted to head up to see it. Property was pretty and access to everything was easy even after hours with the provided keys. Would stay here again!
Great location for exploring Hilo and driving to the volcano. Unit worked well for our family of 4 including 2 teenagers.
Six friends came to Hilo for Merrie Monarch. We could easily walk to the festival sites and avoid difficult-to-find parking. The condo was comfortable and clean with great views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Our host Jenny was very communicative. We would stay there again.
Access to the property was convenient and effortless. We were only a few blocks from most everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as were the bathrooms. Thank you for making sure we had coffee and creamer for our first morning - it was a life saver after getting in late after a long day of travel. The best part was how comfy the beds were. I slept like a baby! Can’t wait to stay at this property again in the future. Mahalo nui!
Our stay was nice, this apartment is located in a very busy building that also has businesses in it, the demographics of people were mostly of older ages so my 5 year old was bummed about that but everyone was very nice. The security closes the access to the elevators at 9pm so if you’d like a date night you’d have to call and ask the security to come over and unlock the door. The laundry is located down the hall and not too bad on price ($2 for wash, $1.50 per dry- use the bigger dryer- it’s way faster). They were doing construction during our stay but it wasn’t bad. When you first walk into the apartment it is aesthetically pleasing, everything is very light and clean, the owner added nice accents to everything. We stayed during December so she even added little Xmas decor which was cute for my kids. The rooms are very good sized and the beds were very comfortable. There is beach towels, floaties, water shoes, an ice chest, chairs, umbrella and extra little things that make the stay much easier! The weather wasn’t the best for the first 4 days we were here so we tried to make the best of our stay but on the days it was nice and sunny we did a bunch of things! The location of the apartment was very convenient, downtown is literally a 3 min drive, most of the falls are within 10 mins and some about 30 mins out, a few of the black sand beaches were within 10 mins as well, the mall is close to Ross, Walmart and a few good priced restaurants.
Everything was good during our stay but the photo of a view of the condo was not what we saw from the room. It looked like we could see the bay and ocean but it was a photo from another location.
