Guest Access: Prior to your arrival, you’ll receive a unique access code for a seamless and secure self-check-in experience. You will have the entire three-bedroom upstairs apartment to yourself, including access to the BBQ on the back porch, and washer/dryer available from 8am-9pm.
The Neighborhood: Located in a prime Hilo location, our home is just minutes away from beautiful beaches, shopping, dining, and local attractions. Explore the Hilo Farmers Market, take a stroll in Liliuokalani Gardens, or enjoy a day at the beach—all within a short drive from the apartment. The area offers plenty of activities like snorkeling, hiking, and sightseeing.
Getting Around: Navigating the nearby area is easy. Many attractions, restaurants, and shops are within a short drive or even walking distance. While public transportation is available, we recommend having a car to fully experience all that Hilo and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Interaction With Guests: If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, please reach out, and we`ll be available to help. The home’s caretaker lives nearby and is available if needed.

By making a reservation, you are agreeing to follow these HOUSE RULES:
- Please treat the House with Care and Respect, thanks.
- No Smoking inside the house
- No non-paying guests sleeping over
- No parties or events
- Sound travels easily.
Please respect Quiet Hours from 9pm - 8am, so as to respect the neighbors.
- If you need an EARLY CHECK IN / LATE CHECK OUT please let us know at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE and we will try to accommodate you -- please note that it is NOT GUARANTEED THOUGH, and it depends on our cleaners and our booking schedule. If we are able to change things around to accommodate your request, please note that there will be a convenience charge of $20 per hour that that we are able to give early / late. We will request this via airbnb request.
REGARDING PETS:
- Only 1-2 Pets allowed upon request and payment of the Pet Fee.
IMPORTANT: If you do bring your pet, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THEM ALONE & UNSUPERVISED IN THE HOUSE! As we have found the hard way that they will then bark non-stop and disturb the neighbors, as well as possibly do damage to the house when left unattended. So please do not plan on bringing them and then leaving them alone in the house while you go on excursions, etc.
Also any dog (including service dogs) must be leashed at all times on premises.
Also, you must clean up after them or there will be a charge for that, thanks. (Sorry but we have learned things the hard way that we need to say these things).

Was great stay
The house was very nice and clean, and it had good wifi. It was right by everything. 8-10 minute drive from most things. You could walk to the gas station if you needed a quick snack.
Great place
House was nice. It was old style with charm. Very hot, couldnt open windows and allot ofroad noise. Kitchen and bath could be cleaner
Property was well maintained and had everything we needed!
Living room was extremely hot in the afternoon. Parking is very limited. Right off of a main road. Underneath neighbors pounded on the floor if us heavy set people walked too hard. My daughter slipped and fell and was crying so they pounded again scaring us. Shower had no pressure. The rooms were nice and cool with portable ac units, beds comfy. Owner was very kind and great with communication. The ring on the door made us a little uncomfortable but it’s understandable to have. Wouldn’t choose to stay there again, but maybe with the right downstairs neighbors and another portable ac in living room area the stay would be better.
The house was a roomy older house, conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown Hilo. Overall, the house was terrific. The only drawback was the shower stall and showerhead. The shower flow was insufficient. A hand-held shower head would be better!
