The home was clean, and the kitchen was adequately provisioned for our needs. The check/out process was simple and straight forward.
House was a bit hard to find at first (during the night) but we had no issues after we knew how to get there. It was at the top of the ocean cliff. The wave sounds are awesome. We didn’t use much of the outside, but it looked pretty. Laundry in garage was helpful. Really pretty beach 7min drive away.
Beautiful ... property.. view...location. Lots of room. Listening to the waves crash on the shore is soothing.
Great place to stay. Comfortable and close to just about everything everything in hilo. Amazing view and lots of other little extra perks you find the longer you stay like a cooler and flippers for the beach and an amazing yard with lots to photograph. Definitely would stay again.
My three sisters and I stayed here while attending Merrie Monarch. It was just perfect for us, and we absolutely loved the view.
The views from this property are amazing, and the crashing of waves on the rocks below was hypnotizing. The house itself needs some attention. Half of the louvered windows did not work, the house had several other windows that did work so airflow was nice.Pictures on the listing show a steam room, however the steam room door had some sticky letters cleverly showing that the steam room was now a storage room. Pictures on the listing were a little misleading with this particular one, this picture needs to be removed.Garage door was broken, so that was unavailable. This house could be so much more if it had some proper maintenance. If it wasn't for that view it would have been very disappointing.
The windows were filthy and hard to see the view because of that. The trash was left inside and smelled very bad
Need more working windows. No A/C made it pretty hot in the afternoon.
Incredible views atop 80 foot cliff overlooking Hilo bay. Coqui frogs at night sung us to sleep. Awesome!
Sadly, the town of Hilo does not have the charm, restaurants and nightlife that Kona has. However, we loved coming to this side of the island to see the waterfalls, lava tubes, and do the Umauma Falls Zipline Experience. That place was so great! But there is little to the town of Hilo itself. High crime rate, homeless encampments, tons of abandoned shops, etc. Sad how great it could be. That being said, that makes this house a good sanctuary away from the town. Close enough to get places, but away enough to feel safer. The pictures do not do it justice. Both floors look straight out to the ocean front. Stunning mornings and days just sitting on the porch relaxing. At night time, there are frogs that chirp like a cross between birds and broken smoke detectors. Our first night was the worst. Or we got used to it. That was the only surprise. And there is no AC, which doesn't matter when we went in May, because of the ocean breeze. But if it was super hot out, you would wish they had an AC. Great house, nice stay. Great value, but you will likely be making meals in the house, not sitting at ocean front restaurants like we did in Kona.
Great views. Loved the kitchen and lanai!
Perfect as always!!! It gets better and better every time we return. The views are never ending, and the we look forward to returning soon. Aloha and Mahalo 🙏
Whales, morning white birds, cruise ships and the incredible views forever!!Waves crashing into the cliffs, it’s truly Hawaiian perfection. Not our first time here, and definitely not the last. Excellent 🏝️
Everything was perfect. We’re looking forward to returning soon. Thank you 🙏
Great view!
