Location, Location, Beautiful AC Beach Studio In Hilo; Few Steps from Beach Cove

This lovely property was everything we expected and more. The grounds were lush and beautiful. We loved spending time on the patio area for breakfast and cocktails. The beach is just a 3 minute walk from the studio. There are so many beaches in the immediate area.The location is super convenient for going up north, driving to the Volcano National Park and for closer adventures.Claudia is a gracious host, very thoughtful and so generous with many amenities to make your stay comfortable. The studio was immaculate upon our arrival, called the host next day as beeping sound was from a fire or carbon dioxide alarm and it was handled by time we returned for the night. Kitchen and bathroom great, well supplied for our needs and air conditioning was a plus. Our only disappointment is that as we are spoiled with a toilet bidet, that was the only thing lacking!! HAHA. We will be back and hope the cost might be less since we will be Kama'aina. Great place, and we will be back!!

Perfect location. The bed was too hard for my husband. Everything else was great.

The studio was just perfect. Kitchen was fully stocked and they left us fruit and Hawaiian bread upon arrival. Water pressure was great. The a/c worked very well and the bed was comfy. Huge outdoor space with tables and chairs and couch and a grill. The property was beautiful and it was a few steps to a lively beach cove. They provided beach towels and chairs and snorkel fins and boogie boards also. I would highly recommend Claudia’s place.

Everything was top of the line, clean, convenient well stocked

The location was awesome, a very short walk to Chalk's beach lagoons, and close to my favorite beach parks (Richardsons, Carlsmith). Kitchen was well equipped. Appreciated the spacious lanai, plenty of covered outdoor space for eating & relaxing even when rainy. Nice bonus to have beach chairs to borrow and off-street parking.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to a beautiful beach cove and close to shopping and restaurants. The studio was comfortable and well appointed. It felt larger than anticipated with a smart layout and multiple outdoor sitting areas.

We really enjoyed staying here. Everything that we needed was provided and the studio was clean. It is close to downtown Hilo and the airport so it was a very convenient place to stay.

Very nice unit, well equipped - comfortable bed, wonderful rain shower, well equipped kitchen. All in one living space inside, but some nice sitting areas outside. Very personable and responsive host. Easy walk to a couple of nearby beaches Chalks Beach at the end of the road and Onekahakaha Beach Park nearby. Lots of beach toys with the unit. Generally quiet neighborhood except for an occasional loud plane (one every 2 AM) and some loud bass vibrations from music in vehicles at Chalks Beach on weekend. When we were first finding the place in the dark, Apple Maps sent us to the end of the road when the unit is about 100 feet before that. Woman living at end of the road in her car (Mishka) is friendly and likes to talk. Her dogs are friendly. There are two other rental units on the site, but the studio was the only one occupied when we were there.

This place was super for 3 nights in Hilo with my son. The central location and boogie boards/beach stuff were really nice!

Host was very welcoming. Left goodies for us. Very easy to access the key for entrance. Check out also was very easy. Studio was very nice. Bed very comfortable and the kitchen was adequate. Only problem was the crazy bird noise in the evening. They finally stopped after a long time.

Claudia was very accommodating and kind. Her communication was timely and clear. We very much enjoyed our time in the studio.

The location was PERFECT for the things we wanted to do. Very quiet, peaceful. The cove area was beautiful. Communication was easy and very nice, understanding, and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. Accommodations had everything you could want and more. Location was just steps from the water. Wish we had booked a longer stay. If we are ever back in Hilo, this will be the place we would choose to stay.

This was the perfect place for our stay on the east side of the island. The studio is very comfortable and centrally located to all excursions we had planned. The hosts have thought of everything one could need, from boogie boards with fins, beach chairs, small cooler, extra cooking oil etc., and all possible utensils. There are multiple seating areas in a lush garden environment steps away from a beautiful cove beach as advertised. AC (necessary), BBQ, cable TV with Netflix access, and laundry facilities are an added bonus.We would definitely stay here again!

This cute studio rental is on a dead-end road, surrounded by tropical vegetation and a short walk to the water. The rental was appointed with everything a traveler may need; a fully appointed kitchen and bathroom, as well as unexpected additions - a small cooler and ice pack, beach towels, insect repellent, sun screen, beach chairs, etc. We highly recommend. The studio was above our expectations. For such a small square footage, it had everything we needed and was so well thought out for placement of everything. There was a beautiful tables for eating outside or just enjoying the night siunds of the frogs. Everything was so clean and the decor was beautiful. We enjoyed the quaint beach at the end of the road and the outdoor shower. This place thought of everything from coolers to mosquito spray to binoculars. The host left us some delicious bananas and cookies as well. We will definitely stay here again upon our return to Hilo. Absolutely perfect!!

Great location and amazing vacation!

Inside/Outside delight.

My wife and I stayed at this property for our anniversary trip to the big island. This property is truly a gem! We stayed in the studio unit, which is well equipped and a perfect size for a couple. It has a wonderful quiet AC unit which kept the room cool and comfortable during the night or if you want to cool down after spending time in the sun. The grounds were so nicely kept! Wonderful landscaping (loved the papaya tree!), shaded seating areas (and loungers in the sun), a nice propane Weber grill for grilling, shared washer and dryer, just a short walk to the beach, and a outside shower house after you're done made this truly your own paradise. There are a lot of beach "extras" supplied such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler for food/beverages, which came in handy. Best of all, it was so nice interacting with Claudia & Dave, the owners! They are very kind, helpful, and a pleasure to talk with. Thank you, Claudia, for making our anniversary trip so wonderful, relaxing, and memorable!

We loved every minute of our 10 night vacation in this completely appointed studio by the ocean. I soaked in the tide pools every day and came home refreshed

We loved this little studio, which is perfect for a couple or even a couple with one or two small children. Don’t let the drive through an somewhat industrial section of Hilo fool you. Once you get to this little place, tucked away in a lush part of the island near the beach, you’ll be happy you stayed there. Everything was perfect for us, though be advised that the bed and pillows are quite firm. Don’t leave food out where ants might be attracted to it, which is good advice anywhere in Hawaii. The coqui frogs are pretty loud in the area at night, but the owner courteously provided earplugs. The location is very convenient to a number of amenities in town, just a very short drive away. There are also several beach parks nearby that are excellent for seeing sea turtles and for snorkeling. We would happily stay here again.

Good size studio for my husband and I. The full size kitchen is nice. Location is pretty private. Loved the bananas and sweet bread the hosts left for us.

My husband and I stayed here a few nights during our 2 weeks in the Hawaiian islands for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was very clean and updated! The host was very easy to get in touch with when I had a question. It was a very quiet neighborhood with a peaceful garden area in the back! We loved it! Thank you Claudia!!!
