The house is anything but Charming. It is right on a street that stays busy througout the night and you can hear the vehicles pass by throughout the night. You can also very clearly and loudly hear the frogs at night and the neighbor's dog barking. I am not sure how the previous reviewers missed these details. The house also had a smell when we first entered. After leaving the windows open overnight was it OK. The bathroom is infested with ants and bugs. And oh yes the 2nd bathroom is out in the garage with no real sink. All the furniture in the house is old. You cannot tell from the pictures in the listing. When I get a chance I will attach my pictures. But, knowing what I know, I would still rent it again if this is significantly cheaper than other available properties.
House very clean and big enough for my family. We’re enjoying our stay. Very right location to every place to go to.
Clean and convenient. Exactly what we needed!
Very comfortable for our family of 5. Got all the basic comforts of our home.Great to have washer/dryer and two bathrooms.Ceiling fans were great to have during hot and humid days.Minutes away from stores, food outlets, gas stations, etc.Thom, our host, was also great in accommodating our requests. The only caution would be for family with kids, roadway is busy right off the driveway. Can be a little tricky getting out of the driveway, just exercise caution. But it does have a nice backyard to allow kids to play.Would definitely return again....it fits our travel.
All in all this unit was clean & well stocked with amenities. Only issue was the barking dog across the street, I know not much can be done but it was difficult to hear the TV without boosting up the volume. Good location close to eateries, grocery stores & gas stations. Will plan on staying next year if unit is available.
Excellent customer service.
We like the location of the house in proximity to other things we were doing on our Vacation. The house was simple but comfortable
Everything was great, house clean with all needed anemities . Only minus was getting in and out of drive you practically had to reverse out onto busy street .
We have family a street over so it was nice to be in close proximity to everyone. Nice house , just closed the windows and the coqui frogs weren’t a real bother at night to sleep .
This location was perfect for navigating to and from the island beaches, food and shopping. A cute little home on a good size lot. My family and i truly enjoyed working with the property manager and the stay was much needed.
All kitchen ware available. No need to buy anything for washroom. Overall a little bit wet feeling for people from dry climate area. If there's exhaust fan for washroom would be better.
The Property owner/host, Thom is a phenomenal communicator and makes you feel at home right away. He helps with anything you need, from finding the best bike shop, to what restaurants to visit while driving around the island.
We absolutely loved this place! The host was wonderful and kept in touch if we needed anything. Property is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need. Close to all Hilo entertainment and dinning options and plenty of parking for two/three cars. Large backyard, with grill and fruit trees. Thank you so much for sharing with us. We will be returning!
It was the perfect place. My daughter is attending UHH and it was literally down the street from the house. The house is conveniently located to a lot of the food hot spots and very close the the KTA grocery store. The owner is very accommodating and would always check up on us via text if we needed anything and to text him if there are any issues. He has such a big heart that he mentioned before we left not to throw any food because he feeds the homeless. I made spaghetti the other night and made too much. I too hate throwing food away and knowing that he was going to give it to the homeless just made our stay even more special.
