We had a lovely time at this fun house and AMAZING property. It's a very comfortable home for a family getaway, and within easy walking distance of a few cute stores, two restaurants, farm stands, and a goat-cuddling farm. Highly recommend.
We visited Hawaii for the first time this summer for my parent's 60th Anniversary. There were 11 of us in total at the house and we could not have made a better choice. There was plenty of space for everyone ( ok sometimes the teenage girls spent too much time in the bathrooms) and the surroundings were perfect. We loved meals on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Air hockey was fun to play. The amazing soothing sounds of the coqui frogs at night led to peaceful sleep,(earplugs were available if you didnt want to hear them). The absence of city lights was also enjoyable as we saw star filled skys. We enjoyed the fruit on the property like coconut,( the 12year old figured out how to open them) the Ice Cream pods, lemon and even cacao pods. We saw lilliokoi, bananas, mangosteen and avocados that were not quite ripe. Our friend chicken little welcomed us and followed when we followed the trails and the wild pigs were cool. What made this stay even better was the locals. Walking town to the town square and talking to the locals who offered great advice was priceless. And the food was good also. If you want something touristy, go to Kona, but if you want the real Hawaiian vibe you have to go to the Honomu House and enjoy!!!
We loved the amazing sounds of the rainforest. The kids loved the air hockey table and fruits and watching the chickens and pigs. There was plenty of space, some of the spaces could use updating, but it was functional.
The family had an amazing time, from the home we stayed in to visiting everything on rhe island.
Thank you so much we super enjoyed our stay great place
Wow we had a amazing time together because the house was so good we spend a lot of time eating outside
This is a great place to stay if you have a large group. Our family enjoyed the solitude and also picking the fruit around the property. We would stay here again.
The property was spacious inside and out. Plenty of beds available that we didn’t even use. The grill and long patio dining table was very useful. My family enjoyed a nice dinner outside. We enjoyed the nature and the many fruit trees and seeing wild animals that would come by. It’s a nice and quiet neighborhood. It was so convenient to be able to walk to the restaurants, shops and bakery. Go see Mr. Ed at his bakery! Also really good coffee at The Hive and awesome tacos near by. We walked over to pet the goats at a nearby farm as well. There are many night bugs as expected in a farm but we just closed the doors and used the air condition at night.
We all loved this house! Such a beautiful setting tucked back away from the road. We wished we were staying longer.
Wonderful property. Well stocked too. Had plenty of the essentials. The fruit that we picked were quite tasty. Neighborhood quiet with no noise or light pollution. The master bath tub was huge and long (at least 5ft). We were also provided with quite a bit of information about the area. Mahalo
The home is a great place to spread out and relax. Lots of balconies and a large kitchen/living room to hang out and socialize. Just up the hill from Honomu which has a few great shops and places to have lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
