Check in process is very smooth. House is very clean and has everything we need. Lots of beds and bedroom for a large family. Montana and Bruce were quick to respond to any question we had.

This was our second stay at Hale Aloha Kaloli! We absolutely LOVE this home. Montana and Bruce are such responsive and caring hosts. The home was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our dishes for Thanksgiving. Rooms are spacious and having air conditioning was a nice bonus to a beautiful home. Everything was clean and I absolutely LOVED the sheets that were on the master bed... soft and like butter! We look forward to returning for another trip in the future!

Nice, clean house, quiet location. Only complaint is that the mattress was very hard and the pillows very flat which make it tough for a side sleeper.

Very clean and well kept home. Great place to stay and beautiful home. The host was very responsive and appears to take pride in keeping the home in to condition. They provided eggs and pancake mix and syrup. Small treats and everything you would expect to feel at home! My family really enjoyed our stay!

Me and my family stayed a week here and we loved it! The location was convenient and the area was very nice and quiet. The home was clean and the owners were very easy to contact and kept in touch. The ac came in handy since the weather was very warm and humid when we visited. I would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend them to others visiting the island.

We arrived very late, the gate already opened for us. The place is very spacious and clean. The next morning the kids found there are lots of fruits trees, most of them were first time saw in real life. Such great fun.

Would definitely stay again. Wonderful, quiet property. Well stocked kitchen with all items in good repair. Drinks, eggs, water, pancakes, butter, salt/pepper and other condiments when I was there. I'm sure the selection varies.

We have stayed in this wonderful home several times. The hosts are always so kind and responsive, the house is spotless and they have equipped it with everything you could need to have a fantastic vacation. Every room has AC, though we often felt it wasn't needed when the screened in windows and doors were open letting that perfect Hawaiian breeze go through! My favorite thing is sitting out on the adorablely decorated lanai with my coffee early in the morning with a book and listening to all the birds sing. It's heaven, and we will be back!

Great location for Hilo side. You are about 15 mins outside of Hilo that has everything you would need. The Big Island requires driving because it is so spacious so anywhere you stay is going to require some driving to see all the island has to offer. The black sand beach that you can hike to that is 5 min drive from the house is fabulous. We saw sea turtles and the water was crystal clear. The beds and bathrooms were great! We had a family of six and felt very comfortable here. I would recommend staying here.

Rental was lovely. Lots of room for us. We only stayed 1 nite and it was perfect for our needs. Montana was quick to respond to my questions. Check-in was easy. Rental was clean and had all the amenities you would need for a longer stay.

We were not actually in the facility a great deal as we were very busy in the general area. It was a fine place from which to engage in all those activities.

Great property, family of 4 plus grandpa plenty of space. Sister could escape outside to read on the hammock. Kitchen had the essentials. Easy drive to the volcano!

Everyhing worked out well. The beds were exceptional in all 3 rooms.

This property was the perfect location to do all the activities we wanted on Hawaii Island. Super clean. It was a treat to have all we needed for a day at the beach. The fruit left for us when we returned from a day of hiking at The Hawaii Volcano National Park was great surprise! I would definitely stay here again.

Plenty of room , AC cools down the house within 15 mins! I would definitely recommend staying here!!!

This place was wonderful for our stay. We had 4 adults and a 21/2 year old and the house was great for our needs. All of the rooms are very spacious and comfortable . We really appreciated the breakfast items and a stocked refrigerator. The location was lovely and in a good location for our planned adventures on the island. We greatly appreciated being able to have a late checkout since we had a late afternoon flight. I highly recommend this place

We visited the Big Island for 10 days. Family of 7. House was exactly as advertised. The hosts were quick to respond and very friendly and helpful went above and beyond. House was nicely stocked. Like I said in the title, would stay again A. We love this side of the Big Island.

this rental unit is located it a quiet community with rainforest around.there are farmer market grocery stores nearby 15mins Drive to Downtown Hilo.30 mins Drive to volcano.there is a full kitchen with cookware.also lots of fruit trees in the yard.we all enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location to stage big island exploration. We saw whales breaching at palisades cliffs within a 20 minute walk. Quiet,friendly neighborhood was very relaxing. We would book this place again in a heartbeat.

This was our first time staying in Hilo. With so many 5 star reviews this place was an easy choice. It’s priced right and the place was incredibly clean and had everything you need. For a family with little kids, we loved having twin beds and queen/king beds in the same room. The kids felt more at ease but everyone still had bed space. It was a beautiful thing!

We enjoyed this well appointed home which provided everything we needed for our one night stay. Very comfortable and roomy!

My family and I had a nice relaxing stay at this property. It was nice to see the Big Island from the Hilo side, which made visiting Volcanoes National Park a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house , in great location to explore the whole island. Thirty minute drive to beach but we were on Hawaii to sightsee and not sit at beach all day. Owners lived behind house so was easy to get in touch with them, but we had complete privacy.

We were using this place as a base, from which we explored the eastern half of Big Island. For us as a family of 4, it was a great place, which provided an individual room for both of our kids. We also really enjoyed the provided snorkelling gear and beach equipment. Communication with the hosts was very good. Our only minor point of concern during our stay was that the washing machine had broken down prior to our arrival and wasn't available to us, but we managed without.

We were greeted kindly and immediately felt the aloha spirit by Montana! Place is a great spot for family and has everything you will need. Water dispenser was a great addition and they provide free refills! This place provided everything my family could need! Thank you again for letting us stay! Mahalo

We had a really great stay. The house is large enough wich is good for a family with teens. That was very nice to have drinks and basic food in the fridge when we arrive. Thanks!

My family of four had a great stay at this rental. It is about 25 minutes south of Hilo and a reasonable distance to beaches, Volcanoes National Park, the zoo, and other tourist destinations. My children enjoyed the large space and air conditioning.

Everything was very nice. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and the location was great for us. Look forward to a return visit.

I traveled with my daughter, a friend of mine and her 2 daughters. We absolutely loved the house, very clean, open large living area, 3 bedrooms with total 5 beds (just as stated). So much was included, towels for showers and beach, beach equipment, washer and dryer, even had the “home” touches, Kuerig with coffee, breakfast options, condiments,, shampoos and soaps. I had a question and texted the owner and he quickly responded, communication was always there. It was just the best visit and a no hassle beautiful home to stay at was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

Clean, spacious, airconditioned, well stocked house. We found it a great center for our Hilo exploration. Missed a dish washer but not a major issue.

We had 4 adults and 4 young children in our party & I was so impressed with this property. It truly felt like home away from home. Communication with the property managers, Montana & Bruce, was easy & they were very responsive both before our trip and during. Location is in a quiet neighborhood. There’s restaurants, gas, & a grocery store about 15 minutes away. Everything was so clean and well-maintained, and there were thoughtful touches & so many amenities provided throughout the home. The fridge was stocked with lots of condiments and breakfast items, plus some drinks to start us off. There was a nice selection of coffee and tea, plus sugar and nondairy creamer. As Hawaii locals we appreciated that shoyu, and a rice cooker (and rice) were provided. We loved the screened patio area right outside the kitchen. It was a perfect spot to sit in the morning and enjoy coffee. WiFi access was awesome as our cell service wasn’t always that great, and the kids were able to watch their fave Netflix shows on the smart tv or their tablets when we were just chilling for the night. We had several devices using the WiFi without any slowdown in service. Overall this property exceeded our expectations & my kids are already asking when we can come back! We will definitely recommend this property to our friends visiting Hilo & book again ourselves in the future. Thank you Montana & Bruce!

We have stayed at this home 4 times now. Every single time, the house is spotless, bottled water and basics like eggs, pancake mix, rice, coffee pods and condiments are available for us to use. AC in every room makes for a comfortable stay, and there are also fans that keep the air nicely circulating. We noticed the mattresses were all new and very comfortable! The property is beautiful. My favorite thing each morning is to sit outside in the screened in lanai with my coffee and listen/watch all the beautiful birds that love to hang out. Add to all that how kind, helpful and friendly Bruce and Montana always are and you can be sure we will be back. Book early because we notice this is a popular place to stay (and we can see why!)

Such a relaxing place to be. I wish we had more time to spend here. If you want a place for peace and quiet and convenient to Hilo and the volcano, this is it. Spacious house, clean, and lots of nice little surprises for you. We loved it.

It was a dream in this apartment. We felt very comfortable. Since the apartment was relatively central, we were able to drive to many of the sights. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time. Mahalo fir everything 🤗

Our family stayed in two different VRBO's while on the Big Island and it was our first time using a VRBO. We ALL agreed that Bruce and Montana's place was the most enjoyable (despite our other VRBO being walking distance to some stores and the beach on the west side of the Island). The atmosphere was awesome, it felt like home away from home. The kids loved playing outside in the yard and we got a chance to bbq with the grill (not sure what kind of wood it was that we used but it gave our food excellent flavor). At the end of our trip, we all agreed (even the teenagers), that we would prefer to stay here our entire trip next time and just drive to the west coast beaches! If or should I say WHEN we come back... We'll be staying here! Thanks Bruce and Montana for sharing your beautiful home and property with our family!

We were a group of 8, four generations ranging from infant to 87 years old. This place had plenty of space, was accessible for our members with more limited mobility, and kooked exactly like the photos. We greatly appreciated the AC units throughout the house. Although a bit of a commute to sightseeing spots, its peaceful in the country and a gas station & some food options we're within a reasonable distance. The host stopped while were in the yard & invited us to try some unique fruit on the tree. Very relaxing & comfortable location!

Fantastic house in a quiet neighborhood. All of the routine amenities were provided in addition to smaller personal touches- water cooler, condiments, Hawaiin beverages, and beach gear. It was a great space that met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations. One of the best VRBOs we’ve stayed at!

Great location, great unit! Very clean and all the supplies we needed were right there. We thought location was a little more secluded, but pleasantly surprised that it was not. The host were awesome with quick communication! We had not planned on needing to do laundry on this trip, but certain excursions necessitated it. The washer and dryer were very efficient, newer models. it was our first time traveling with another couple and the house layout made privacy easy. Beds were comfortable and plenty of amenities in the kitchen for all our meal needs! Thank you for your lovely home!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this home on the Hilo side of the island. Bruce and Montana are super nice, and easy to communicate with. The house was perfect for my family of 5. Very clean and nice furnishings. Love that it’s tucked away in a more “rural” neighborhood. Thanks for a great stay!

The house is just as listed and very clean. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, nice couches and TVs. It is far from Hilo and there is tons of traffic. Not a lot of great food options on this side of town so keep that in mind when driving around. Also pillows, the pillows are super bad and only one per person is just not acceptable. We were quite disappointed and it definitely affected everyone’s sleep. Everything else is top notch but most importantly everyone needs a good night sleep.

We loved that it was close to Hilo but removed from the hustle and bustle of town. The space had everything we needed and plenty of yard space with hammock to enjoy the outside. Close to Shipman’s beach, grocery stores, restaurants and everything you need when staying in Hilo area. The owners were quick to answer questions, help with questions and made our stay enjoyable.
