The Space:
The third-floor lanai is the place to linger, with sweeping ocean views and space to take in sunset. Inside, the one-bedroom layout sleeps four with a sofa bed for extra flexibility. A full kitchen with dishwasher, WiFi, cable, and an elevator in the building cover the practical details, so the day can stay focused on the water and West Maui exploring.
Guest Access:
Guests at Valley Isle Resort enjoy access to the shared outdoor pool in an oceanfront setting with beach access just steps away. The building includes an elevator, a private entrance, on site parking, and a lit path to the entrance for evening arrivals.
The Neighborhood:
Kahana gives West Maui travelers an oceanfront setting just north of Lahaina, with easy access to Napili's calmer coves and Ka'anapali's bigger beach scene. Ka'anapali Beach and Black Rock are a short drive south for snorkeling, Whalers Village dining, and boat trips. Closer to home, beach walks and sunset watching can be the whole plan. Winter often brings whale activity along this coast. It is a relaxed choice for couples and small families who want to explore West Maui while returning to a quieter waterfront neighborhood.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 40 to 45 minutes away along Maui's scenic west-side coastline. A rental car is recommended for reaching beaches, shopping, and dining spread along the coast. Kahana, Napili, Ka'anapali, and West Maui restaurants are a short drive away, while parking is typically available in nearby lots. This is an easy base for exploring Maui's west side at your own pace.
Other Things to Note:
Elevator in building. Please note: beach access at the Valley Isle Resort may be closed occasionally due to ocean and swell conditions. Sandbags have been installed along the shoreline. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.

Needs updates and dryer was broken
Excellent view from the room. Easy checkin process. Owner has kept everything you need. Location is also great! Walkin distance from McD and convenient store. Really enjoyed my stay there!
We were honeymooners at your property in 2000 & were enchanted by the condo, location & Aloha culture. This year's visit was even better! All had been updated, clean with new 'smart' appliances...Mahalo!
The view is amazing! It is located in a very nice not to busy location and has all the amenities you need for a fun time in Maui.
Had a blast! Right on the water you can listen to the waves and feel the breeze all night. Private community living with a mix of locals and rental condos. The best family owned sushi restaurant right across the street and a couple general stores as well. A brewery for the adults and a McDonald's for the kids right around the corner within a three minute walk. Close to the Napili plaza as well that has some great food and groceries. A good, slower pace from the crowded Whaler's Village and Ka'anapali beaches. Family friendly!
Great people, great view. It did the job. This unit could definitely use some updating but it’s still better than a hotel. I hope y’all throw away the comforter as the feathers have shifted to the edges making it very uncomfortable to sleep.
We enjoyed our stay. Screen door lock needs to be replaced as screws won't stay put. Very strict policy with no admittance before 4 PM. That means if you get there at 1:30 in the afternoon and want to hit the beach you will have to leave all of your belongings in the car. Never a good idea in Hawaii.
Loved the view and access to the Beach... Amazing!
This is our third stay in this unit and probably the last. It’s just gotten worn down..the pillows, the bed, broken beach chairs. Doesn’t have the charm it used to hold for us sadly.
The ocean view alone gets five stars, it is amazing. You also get a great view of the sunset. Note, this unit does not have an A/C, which we were not aware of. However, I don’t know if any of them have A/C’s. Honestly, you don’t even need it. There is enough breeze through the day. We kept the bedroom windows open and the balcony door open. At night there was a cool breeze and you fell asleep to waves crashing and woke up to the same. It was awesome. If I had anything to critique, it would be the decor - it’s outdated, but we weren’t inside enough to really care. The view makes up for that. The place was clean and comfy, which is all you really need.
