- The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.
