Let us do the driving while you are enjoying scenery and hear stories of Kauai. Come with us and learn the history of Kauai. Our small group tours can go to more places than the other tours offered. Our smaller group is versatile and are able to maneuver through hidden places you would not be able to see in a larger vehicles.

Itinerary

  • Just driving through the town is a drive through Hawaii's Sugar Plantation Era. Many of the buildings are built during early 1900's.
  • Beautiful view of bottom part of the Waimea Canyon. Just a glimpse of what is waiting for us at the "Little Grand Canyon of the Pacific." (20 mins)
  • Featuring wooden planks and ropes that give it a distinctive swinging motion when walking across it. Over the years, the bridge has undergone repairs and renovations due to the devastation caused by the Hurricane Ewa in 1983 and destruction caused by the Hurricane Iniki in 1992. (30 mins)
  • Waimea is where the English explorer Capt. James Cook first landed in the Hawaiian Islands in 1778. As soon as Captain Cook puts Hawaii on the map hundreds of ships will start visiting Hawaii. (20 mins)
  • Called "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific" by Mark Twain, Waimea Canyon is the largest canyon in the Pacific and truly a dramatic sight to behold at ten miles long, one mile wide, and more than 3,500 ft. deep. Waimea Canyon Lookout will be closed between July 14 thru December 8, 2025 for maintenance and foundation repairs. we will temporarily stop at Pu‘uhinahina Lookout. This location offers a different vantage point of the canyon, and additional photo stops will be included along the way to enhance the tour. Carved by millions of years rain and wind eroding away. Come with us on this journey and absorb the beauty of Waimea and keep it in your heart for years to come. (45 mins)
  • Kalalau Lookout is a view into the heart of the Kalalau Valley- one of the most-photographed and well-recognized valleys in all of Hawaii. This is backdrop for countless films including "King Kong" (the original), "Mighty Joe Young," "Jurassic Park," and "Six Days Seven Nights." Come with us on an adventure to the highest elevation which can be accessed by road, at 4,128 feet and get a glimpse of part of Napali Coast which can only be seen via Helicopter. (30 mins)
  • Wildland picnicking, tent camping and lodging are some of the things that are possible. Hiking in native rain forest and along rim of Waimea Canyon. Excellent area to see native plants, forest birds and insects. Seasonal plum picking and trout fishing. Pig hunting in public hunting area.
  • First landing by Captain Cook, this charming town is home to a variety of small shops and businesses as well as a growing number of tech companies.
  • Closed on Mondays. This is where we will enjoy part of our tour which lunch is included. Enjoy the local favorite Teriyaki Chicken or Coconut Shrimp served with scoop of rice and salad while enjoying the view of the bustling port near us with view of ocean. (45 mins)
  • With over 4 million coffee trees grown on 3,100 acres, Kauai Coffee Company is Hawaii’s largest coffee grower, and thus the largest coffee grower in the U.S. Grew it, harvested and roasted on the spot for the best tasting coffee in the world. Come with us on a journey in search of the best coffee plantation in the United States. (30 mins)
  • This area is one of the remaining whaling villages on the Hawaiian Islands. Some of the sites are historical which goes back to 1400's.
  • Formed by a narrow opening when the lava flowed in to ocean, hardens and creates hole. When the sea water is pushed through the holes, first the air will push out and creating roaming sound of horn followed by water which reach as high as 50 feet into the air. (30 mins)
  • 1992, Hurricane Iniki with 225 mph winds, devastated and stripped these trees to bare branches. It took over 20 years to make an excellent recovery and a picturesque tunnel of trees.

Meeting & Logistics

Please come out of the building towards the harbor exit/guard shack. Go to your your right 10 yards toward guard shack, parking stall next to second door of the building.
