We take you out to one of two different manta sites with professional captain and crew to show you some of the Big Island's most majestic sights: manta rays. The ocean's most graceful giants are attracted by our custom-built LED light board and come right up to our boat to say hello. Then they swim around and around us, like they're showing us their favorite places in the sea before disappearing into the darkness again. It's truly incredible!
After we've had our fill of swimming with these beautiful creatures, the boat heads back towards shore while we stargaze on deck under the stars (you might even see shooting stars!). It's truly the ultimate Hawaiian adventure!
Itinerary

This small-group manta tour is the perfect way to get a high-end experience with some of our ocean's most graceful giants. Watch the sun dip under an ocean horizon as we arrive at the manta site. Expert guides will then pass out our high-quality gear including wetsuit tops, masks, snorkels, fins, and float belts. Our state-of-the-art ocean LED light boards provide maximum plankton attraction which bring in manta rays looking for dinner. To avoid the chill of the journey home, switch into some comfortable clothes using our private changing rooms and then gaze up to the marvelous Hawaiian constellations. Boarding Instructions
We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to your tour. Please meet at the location above 20 minutes prior to departure for boarding and a pre-trip orientation. There’s no need to print off email confirmations or tickets –– we’ll check you in electronically with the last name on your reservation!
Shoes Optional!
Artemis was built for comfort! Our vessel features SeaDek, a state-of-the-art closed-cell foam, that is most comfortable when barefoot. Upon boarding our crew will have a bin for shoes, so plan your footwear choice accordingly (sandals recommended).
Motion Sickness
If you’re prone to motion sickness, please take motion sickness medication the morning of your tour before arriving at the marina.
Snacks
All Hawaiian Adventures Kona tours have complimentary cold beverages available onboard. We recommend leaving the snacks at home and showing up for the tour with a full belly! Due to the speed of the vessel, it’s extremely hard to eat while we’re underway. **Please do not bring snacks onboard.**
