Itinerary
After briefing at the check in location, you'll receive driving and parking directions to Keauhou Harbor. Meet your boat crew at the boat ramp. Hop aboard for a short 3–5 minute ride to Manta Village. Your USCG-certified captain gives a quick safety and manta-etiquette briefing—how to float comfortably, keep arms straight, and never chase or touch the animals. In the water, you’ll hold onto our lighted float board while your guide gently positions the group over the action. Settle in and watch mantas swoop and somersault inches below as the lights attract plankton. Expect 30–45 minutes of water time (conditions permitting); parent swapping is welcome so adults can trade off in the water. Ride along options available so you can enjoy the show from the boat! After the snorkel, we’ll bring you back to the harbor, help you exit the water, and wrap up with tips for caring for Kona’s reef and wildlife. If, on rare nights, no manta appears, we’ll do our very best to reschedule you based on availability.
