Itinerary
- Arrive at Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, starting with a visit to the Historic Volcano House for perfect view of the Kilauea volcano, visit the gift shops full of local art and memorabilia ,grab a coffee or snack, and take time to prepare for the days adventures! Next , explore the fascinating Steam Vents and Sulphur Banks while your guide interprets the natural features, volcanic activity, and shares captivating Hawaiian legends associated with the Volcano Goddess, Madam Pele.Continue your adventure with a scenic drive along Crater Rim Drive, stopping at various overlooks to take in panoramic views of the on going and/or most recent eruption (conditions permitting) at Halema'uma'u craters and the breathtaking island landscape. Then experience the unique geology of the island as you walk through the ancient Thurston Lava Tube. Then, immerse yourself in the lush tropical rain forest with a short hike (0.5 miles), observing native flora and listening for local bird species. (180 mins)
- Enjoy delicious samples of the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory's many delightful candies , explore the gardens with over 25 tropical fruits and flower varieties , and peek inside the factory and watch how these treats are carefully crafted by hand . - See the magnificent 80 Ft Rainbow falls of the Wailuku River . View 10,00 year old lava flow that formed this riverbed while learning about the History and Mythology of the local area. - The Liliuokalani gardens is a tribute to the last reigning Monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom , Queen Liliuokalani . This beautiful , bio-diverse garden in nestled right along side Hilo Bay with epic ocean views and views of Mauna Kea, the largest volcano on Island. Take a relaxing stroll to explore the paved pathways of this incredible Japanese Tea Garden with your guide narrating the legacy of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the Queen and also learn about the many unique plants that are from all around the world!
