Great communication, an easy experience. We really enjoyed our stay
Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was such a neat experience. Short walk to a pretty empty beach which we really enjoyed. We loved it and hope to bring our grandkids to the property some day. Appreciated the "Old Hawaiian" feel of the property. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.
This house was wonderful! It’s location was perfect and the sliding doors made it extra special. We loved that we had the chance to enjoy the yard as well as the private beach access. It’s close to so many great restaurants and local shops. My husband and I hope to come back to this house very soon!
Property was perfect for our family wedding at the Kualoa Ranch and was convenient for all the north shore activities. Being on the ocean and seeing beautiful sunrises every morning was amazing. There was plenty of room inside and out for the grandkids to run around and having access to the beach was perfect.
If you're looking for luxury, plush bedding, air conditioning, TV or "hotel" accommodations... this isn't the place for you. This property is for those that want to experience the Hawaiian style of living. There are four large sliding doors that open up to a beautiful view of the ocean, beaches and mountains. The openness of the house, the sunrises, the sound of waves crashing and the strong breeze are what makes this property truly unforgettable.
This is a great place if you want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation looking at the ocean and mountains (at the same time). It is not luxurious (in the hotel sense) but it is comfortable, open and airy, and the location is a rare find. Mahalo!
Perfect. No other word can describe the experience we had at the Waipuna House. It gives you a true Hawaiian vacation that allows you to enjoy everything Oahu has to offer. Only advice I would give is to add a projector and screen for nighttime entertainment. Aloha and Mahalo

Report from our stay--
We should have been told what shape the house was in. We were never told it was as run down as it was
The view was stunning
The house was not
I would put $100,000 into it before renting it again
De mold it, deep clean it, windows and screens cleaned, update bathrooms, floors, new plush rugs, update furniture, nice adirondack chairs on back yard instead of crappy vinyl white ones we had to find and clean in order to use...,.
And then.... update and deep clean house every year
Every towel washed before anyone uses- every time someone rents
We are asking for money back.....
We were disappointed in the shape of the home we rented - it was worth $150 a night
(if even that)
We will expect our deposit back plus the excess back from as if home was $150 a nite
We should have been told the house was run down and needing a deep clean, and
de molding
We were stuck after getting there and not being able to find anything else to rent on the ocean
Please respond to my claims
Asap -
we were always on time with every payment and left this home much better than we found it
Our complaint is that we were never told about the shape or condition of the home
The pictures told a much nicer story
And we should have been warned!!
We did appreciate that Katrina brought over some extra fans, a toaster that worked, and spray for bugs
Thank you for that gesture
Sincerely
Rena Redmon,

Great location, the Polynesian Cultural Center was about a block away! It was great to open up the back wall and watch the ocean!!
We couldn't have chosen a better location to host our large family for a memorable island reunion. Driving through the gates was as though we had taken a step back into time. Waipuna is a large, old style kamaaina beachfront home nestled on a large grassy lawn with 180 degree views of Oahu’s northeastern coastline. The property is set well away from the highway, which made it very private and prevented us from hearing any road noise. However, it was very close to grocery stores and other conveniences, so everything we needed was within a short drive from the house.
The home itself has a very open concept. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living areas. The dining room table easily sat 10. A large daybed (punee) was the primo spot for relaxing, and several rocking chairs were available on the front porch and back lanai for people to use. The entire back wall of the home was composed of sliding pocket doors that gave everyone in the living and dining areas the chance to appreciate the ocean views and tropical trade winds. The outdoor access also encouraged the keiki to get outside and play! The home had two private bedrooms, each with their own attached bathroom. We found the setup to be very comfortable for our stay. The location, architecture, décor, and furnishings really transported us back into old Hawaii, but with modern comforts! We can’t wait to book another stay at Waipuna!
