This complex is quiet and has a variety of coffee shops, delicious restaurants, and a grocery store within a very short walking distance. The grounds are kept nicely and the pool was clean. Enjoyed access to the beach for early morning walks and stunning sunsets at night. We didn't prepare meals, but kitchen seemed well stocked. It was hot while we visited so the bedroom a/c was very appreciated. Bed was comfortable and there were ample hangers and drawers for unloading suitcase. Only suggestion: a pedestal or box fan for circulating cool air near/at bathroom door. We kept bedroom door closed to keep bedroom cool and living space a/c doesn't cool around corner to bathroom. Highly recommend this unit and location for your stay in Kihei!

I had a very nice stay at Waiohuli Beach Hale #D218. Easy to find from the airport (30 min). The property was clean and well maintained. The manager was easy to get a hold of when calling and she let us check in early. I would definitely recommend this place because it's so close to all restaurants, supermarkets, food trucks, and of course the beach. On the downside, I arrived on a Monday. On this day, the Catholic church next to the property offers free showers and meals to those who need it (primarily homeless). The generators for the showers are a little loud and can be heard on the property. Lastly, on Saturday morning, there was a managers/HOA meeting which went from 9-11am. The apartment is located right above this high traffic area (laundry room, managers office, and the Saturday meeting). Their voices were so loud, I had to eat my breakfast inside instead of the lanai. Other than that, I would stay at this place again but I would request an apartment closer to the beach (near the end of pool).
This condo is clean, quiet, centrally located and reasonably priced. The pool is heated and large enough to swim laps. The view is a slice of the ocean but close to see the sunset. It’s a one minute walk to a quiet beach. The location is walkable to a grocery store and restaurants. The management company is easy to work with and very responsive when the toilet needed to be repaired. I would rent here again.
Property was clean and quiet. Great location to town with lots of restaurant options. The beach on property felt very private as well as the pool and grill area. Loved having access to beach chairs and a cooler. 10/10 recommend!

This place was in an amazing location. You can walk to the beach without any shoes it is so close. It also has a less crowded peaceful beach for sunsets. The place also came with beach chairs and AC which was nice.
My husband and I stayed at this property for our honeymoon and it was the best stay of our trip. The pool and grounds are beautiful, parking is easy and safe, and the (basically private) beach is steps away. Nothing was more than a 5-10 minute drive and we were able to walk to the grocery store and multiple restaurants. The property was very clean and any questions we had were answered very quickly - they even accommodated early check-in and late check-out. I would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, convenient place to stay in Maui.
The unit had everything we needed for comfortable stay (management has replied that they will fix the living room AC). The property management company was super- friendly, attentive, and with great communications. They arrived to personally check the unit's condition. Unit itself was clean and nice with all the basics. Great beach, great pool, great lawn, beautiful well maintained gardens, and close to every store you'd need.
We were very happy with our week long stay at this condo. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to the grocery store, places to eat, and right on the beach. Heated pool was a plus, and we loved going out every evening to watch the sunset. There is a spot, a short walk down the beach where sea turtles would gather on the beach every evening. If you didnt walk to this spot, you could still see them easily from the shore. Condo had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It is air conditioned, but the main living area could get a little warm still at times. It was definitely not uncomfortable, but for sleeping, both my boyfriend and I prefer it to be cool. With that being said, theres a separate unit in the bedroom, so we typically just kept the bedroom door shut and it worked well for us, very comfortable temperature for sleep. Overall, we loved our stay here and would recommend it to others.
Amazing property and unit. Right on the ocean which we heard the gentle waves in the night. It exceeded all our expectations. Only issue is with Valley Isle Property Management Team. I'd rate them a 2-3 star only. They were not very responsive; unit welcome info book very outdated on many issues. The code needed to enter the pool was wrong and only after 2 frustrating returns to try to enter, another guest gave us the correct code. In addition, I wasn't happy buying toilet paper for the unit when their tiny little stock was inadequate for our 10 day stay.

my husband and I come to Maui every year for 2 to 3 weeks stay. We often will come a couple days earlier and stay somewhere new on the island. This time we chose Kihei and I looked high and low on Google maps to find the right location for us. this condo was right on the ocean had a very nice manicured grass lawn with lovely landscaping. It was well kept, there were grills, there was a heated pool, and it was kind of secluded. There were a lot of owners and vacationers there that were quiet. The room was perfect for us. You couldn’t hear outside noises and the air conditioners worked well. The lanai was a perfect space for two people. the shower and bathroom has been remodeled and easily works for us. The location was perfect to a supermarket, restaurant, bars, and coffee, as well as stores. It also was an easy walk to one of the main beaches. They had all the amenities we would need. We definitely would stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the condo unit. The property management was very responsive to any questions or requests we had. The unit itself is somewhat dated (built in 78-79) but certainly adequately equipped for our needs. The air conditioning system is both noisy and relatively ineffective. We ended up not using it during our stay after we figured out how to turn it off. The outside temperatures were fine, and the lack of noise was a big improvement. At one point a cold spell brought chilly temperatures (for Hawaii). Because the air conditioning was installed through a window which could not be fully closed, we were a bit chilly as well.
The balcony was a nice place to eat meals with views of the ocean and the swimming pool. We spent a lot of time there when we weren’t in the water or elsewhere.
The location in Kihei was excellent: adjacent to the ocean and a beach, very close to local shopping and some excellent small restaurants. We would return to this location again.
This condo was just what we were hoping for on our first trip back to Maui in a long, long time! The room and the grounds were exactly as advertised and we started our Maui trip off right! Close to food and stores! We would come back again! Thank you!!
