The unit has a nice view. The furnishings are dated and the place could for sure use a deep cleaning. There are stains on the walls and base boards. We had to wash the comforters and beach towels right away. The beach towels had a musty scent that attached itself to anything that came near them. The ice maker does not work and the trays were mostly broken. The headboard in the second room is not attached and bangs against the wall. The garbage disposal switch is hanging off of the wall. I hate to complain, but for what they are charging I've stayed in better units at this property.
I've stayed at several units at Grand Champions over the years. It's a quiet and convenient property with 2 small pools and close to shopping, restaurants, and beaches.I've stayed at other properties in Wailea including a couple on the beach but this is my favorite.There were two small code glitches with this unit. I received a message that the unit was available for check-in several minutes before 4pm. We were 5 minutes away at the Shops. When I tried the code a few minutes before 4, it wouldn't work. It finally worked after 4 pm, so I must assume it's on a timer. Also, the gate code for the pools was incorrect in the information provided. Someone had opened the gate for me when I entered. I was alone when leaving but you need a code to get in AND get out. I was trapped without a code. Luckily, a couple arrived while I was determining a course of action and let me out and gave me the correct code. Codes should probably be confirmed.The unit itself was as advertised and pretty clean, which is not always the case in Maui with high turnover and little time between guests for a good cleaning. Beds were comfortable. Air-conditioning excellent. The sound on the TV had issues but a soundbar corrected that. I have not found a rental unit that has sharp knives and this one is no different. I always bring a kitchen knife to use if doing much cooking. The unit is very quiet. It is on the top floor up 2 flights of stairs which could be a problem if you have heavy suitcases.

Master bedroom furniture needs updating-no headboard and diy nightstand. Also two bottom drawers in master vanity broken.Felt like most of the unit needs a fresh coat of paint. I would have liked a table inside to eat from rather than having to eat at counter.Views from lanai were outstanding. Loved having our coffee in the morning and watching golfers. Also great sunset pictures!
Overall, the property looked just as advertised and we were satisfied with the stay! AC is a must, great amenities, and overall ambiance of community. The only downside was this property has a bit of an ant problem - was not uncommon to see them crawling in the bathroom, sink, outside, etc.. need to spray down or something.
The property was exceptionally pleasant, offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere. It was immaculately clean and conveniently located near the beach and shopping districts. The property is approximately 30 minutes from the airport. I highly recommend it and will definitely be staying again.
The accommodations were great and the location was perfect!!
Everything was good, except the distance to the pool and barbecues were a bit to far away.
