Clean and well maintained with a great view.
This condo had a great lanai. Enjoyed watching golfers as well as the sunset. Also kudos to comfortable king beds.
The location was great. Close to shops and restaurants. Golf course view was nice. Bedrooms were roomy.
The condo is as described. It is well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, flatware, glassware and utensils. The view of the golf course and farther away can see the ocean.. breathtaking!
The location of the condo was great but for the price / value I feel this home needs some updates.
Pros: quick walk to wailea shops and beach, nice view of ocean and blue course from Lanai. AC worked well and overall the furniture was as advertised.
We were only given one towel per person for the stay and kitchen was a bit light on items. Hard to change but the noise from upstairs was quite loud so be aware. I also think some updated furniture on the lanai would be helpful given the cost to rent.
We loved the location and the place was very clean with some nice updates. Loved our little ocean view! I’d make one recommendation and that’d be to add some decorations to the place like pictures on the walls would make it so much more inviting and warm. It would really finish off all the work you’ve put into the place. Thanks for everything!
When we checked in in the middle of the night we found the sheets to have hair and stains and crumbs in the bed! We had to strip the beds and change the sheets in the middle of the night. I was very upset! Also the mattress cover was filthy with all kinds of stains so Vacasa bought over a new mattress pad that I had to change. I did not want to touch it! Also there’s a sign to remove shoes but when we did our socks got filthy from the floors. Also it’s on a golf course so it’s very noisy at 5:00- 6:00 am when they are cutting the grass. We were awaken just about every morning.
There were a couple of positives, the air conditioner was nice and cold. The condo is a great size with a pretty good ocean view.
The condo was clean and comfortable. Easy to set temps to make everyone happy. The style was heavy on tile, so it was easy to keep clean but had the disadvantage of noise echoing inside. Seemed to be well noise-isolated from the neighbors. Also had lovely sunsets and an interesting golf course view, but the noisy golf course maintainers start early. :)
Spacious, clean, updated and fully stocked unit. We enjoyed our stay here so much and can’t wait to return. We will book this same condo again!
The location of Grand Champions is amazing. The unit was remodeled very nicely. But there are a few things that we were not terribly pleased with.
First of all, the washing machine was broken. We understand that stuff happens, but they didn't let us know about it until it was too late for us to cancel/change our reservation despite the fact that they knew about the washing machine as early as January. Two reviewers mentioned it but the reviews were posted in Feb after we booked so we never saw them, and we weren't informed until 11 days before our stay. They refunded us a couple hundred dollars, but that too felt very deceptive - kind of like instead of telling people in a timely manner, let's wait until they can't cancel and throw a few bucks at them to keep them quiet. To be fair, the local Vacasa gal was great (Jess) and provided extra towels and linens, but we rented a condo specifically to have amenities like a washer/dryer and a kitchen.
The second issue that I can' believe no one has mentioned is that this unit is located on the golf course, and specifically on a green. This means VERY loud mowing and banging at 5:30 am.
Third, the unit seemed very clean but the floors... not so much.
They ask you to remove your shoes, but walking barefoot on the tile turns your feet black nearly instantly. Also, we spilled some water and wiped it up with a kitchen towel which turned completely black. Kinda gross.
Lastly, and more of a heads-up, there are no beach chairs or umbrellas in the unit. We met a few folks at GC who all said their units had that stuff, but we had to rent. Auntie Snorkel in Kihei was a great rental spot.
Overall, the vacation was amazing, Maui is amazing, and Grand Champions was great. Maybe reconsider Vacasa managed units, or at least be diligent with research and/or check back on the listing to make sure things haven't changed without your knowledge.
Condo is clean but run down - needs some upgrades (other rentals in same complex are much nicer inside, and same price). Outside lanai, view and property grounds are beautiful. Gave us wrong code to door, so had to make 3 calls to get in. Also, no binder or instruction as to what keys were for, how to get into pool, where garbages were, etc. Halfway through found beach chairs, cooler and snorkel gear, which was nice to use. Designated parking spot was close to condo. Good location (amenities in walking distance).
Upgrades needed - a couple outlets didnt work, one toilet doesnt flush all the time, tile kitchen outdated/grout dirty, etc.
