Quiet, fast service from the hotel staff
Near my convention hotel. Could cook my own food. Comfortable bed and accommodations.

Great spot to Waikiki places and buses. Hotel was nice, especially the sundeck. AC was noisy. RRoomRsmsmallsbuadequate.

Was looking for a place to stay while visiting family. It was just right for that - we did not go to Hawaii to hang out in hotel so while it was not fancy, it served our needs perfectly
I was impressed by the employees friendliness and helpfulness. The apartment left plenty to be desired. The room had no clock, very few electrical outlets, too large of a bed and no scenic view.
Location and staff excellent! Several problems with room. Stove top didn’t work, internet went out for a day+. No outlet in kitchen area-had to use coffee maker on night stand.

Super cozy room with all the necessities and just minutes from the beach! My wife and I absolutely loved our stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and location is great!

Great stay, great location. Love talking with the host and reminiscing about the neighborhood. He went above and beyond mailing me something my daughter left behind. Would recommend and stay there again

The room advertised was not the same room we were given.No internet servive in the room during the entire 12 day stay.
We didn't know we woupd not recieve housekeeping servive. We washed our linnen and towels in the coin operated washers and dryers.

The Waikiki Grand is an older hotel, with a bit of a tired feeling to it, but it is in a fabulous location with stores and restaurants close by. The zoo and park area is across the street and the beach is a block away. Our room was clean, quiet, with a very comfortable king sized bed. The kitchenette area was adequate, although the toaster didn't work properly. There is also no electrical outlet in the kitchen for the toaster, coffee pot, etc. We had to use the power cord bedside the bed to plug in the small appliances. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, but it was nice to have that to keep the room cool at night. There is a laundry room in the basement which we used to dry damp beach towels or do laundry. I would recommend to the manager/hosts of this unit to add a few extra coat hooks in the entry way for hats, jackets, etc., and an extra towel bar and some hooks in the bathrooms to hang up wet bathing suits and towels, etc. We were provided with beach chairs which we very much appreciated. We also booked a parking space ahead of time. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was ok, although there weren't many chairs and the area is under renovation. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If it were not for the location, I would give this property 3 stars, but the location bumped it up to 4. Lots of stores and restaurants close by and the best part of Waikiki Beach is a short walk away.
My advice is to print out your confirmation before checking in. I don't know if the person at the desk had a Terrible day, but he stressed me out telling me things like I had no reservation, my dog couldn't stay (I paid for 5 nights for the dog), and being argumentative and unhelpful refusing even to give me the name of the person I booked with to help me find the confirmation faster. I am the full-time caregiver to my husband and with him and a frightened dog in tow it was a nightmare.
This property was perfect for our stay and 2ithin walking distance of many things. The only thing I would say needs work is the lighting and maybe hang the tv on a wall so it can swivel.

My room was clean and tidy with all amenities I needed.. It is really close to the beach and is very convenient. We had a great time.
A couple things in the unit needs repair. Kitchen drawer was repeatedly sliding out on its own and the window screen has an existing hole.
Great location, loved it there. We stayed a month and could have used a mop for the floor.
Some pictures a little deceiving could have had more outlets lots of power strips always prompt when we needed something. Overall good stay
We enjoyed an awesome week in Waikiki. Location is fantastic. Amenities are all you need. Comfy bed. Noisy air conditioner and especially on weekends the bar in the hotel was loud.
I have stayed in this building many times (at least 6). There are always sacrifices to be made as it is a very old building with individual owners with some caring about making your stay comfortable, and others taking the cheap way out.
In this unit, the walls were a bit beat up, and a quick coat of paint would make you feel as if you were in at least a 3 star accommodation (that and a clean floor). The floor has not had a proper cleaning in at least 3-4 years as there is dirt affixed to the tiles (textured) all around the perimeter of the unit. The first night I set up my computer at the table and apparently my toe touched the cords all jammed into an electrical cord manifold under the table causing the plug to come out just slightly enough to kill power to the fridge. I woke up to a puddle in the unit causing me to call management and look for a water leak (as it was not discovered until later that the fridge had shut off) and we then presumed that the puddle was melted frost from the freezer....
Lighting is both inconvenient and poor. with nothing overhead to work at the table (or anywhere else). I moved a lamp to the dining table and plugged it in with around 6 other cords all going to the same outlet.
When showering in the morning, I found the tub drain was clogged, probably due to sand build up and then I asked to be moved. The rental management team was very accommodating and moved me right away. Only problem is that when I packed up to leave for Guam, I found that I had left an item in (this) unit in my haste to move to the substitute unit....
The substitute unit was at least 25% smaller, but at least it felt better....
It was super nice place. Very clean.
We had a good time staying at this location.
