Room works great for what we needed for the trip. My only suggestions would be having a fan since the AC lacks a little. We bought a fan and left it behind for the next guests :) thank you!!
Place was conveniently located, & host very helpful& prompt answering any questions. Front desk personnel not at all friendly appearing to be bothered when checking in. Bed frame bigger than mattress resulting in stubbed toes 4times & gash on shin once. Curtains wasn’t hung on rod properly allowing light to illuminate our room (we were able To rehang then curtain to allow darkness for sleeping. Gave 3 stars due to central location (we are 73 & 80. Walking over 11,000 steps a day was no problem). Enjoyed our stay for the most part.
The boutique hotel is nice, location is great. The room could use some TLC. We tried several times to get beach chairs and they did respond but never got any. We finally gave up trying. It’s Hawaii how hard is it to supply beach chairs.
Well located for transport and close to the beach and shopping. Food options around here are excellent. The pool area is quiet and relaxing. Staff at the front desk are polite and helpful.
Affordable in the heart of Waikiki. Note that this is a privately owned room so you do not get all the hotel amendity offerings, which I didnt realize until until after booking.
Enjoyed my stay. AC was very quiet. Had an issue with the washer on the 12th floor but not the condo owner’s fault. The building is old & could use some updating but the location is great. Very central & walking around Waikiki was easy.
Would have been nice to have a small pot for boiling eggs & some wineglasses in the unit. Met the owner who was very nice & friendly.
First off I want to thank Mark for answering our questions and concerns through this whole process in a very timely manner. Staff at Bamboo was most friendly. I gave a 4 for property just because some furniture needs to be tightened up a bit. All in all it was good experience visiting Waikiki. Mahalo@
The view was great everything was walking distance.
Great location and felt more like a private oasis. Not big but certainly perfect for 1-2 people.

We did not like:
- to wash the towels on our own,
- 5G device/ transmitter at the bed head,
- mattress too soft to sleep healthy.
Good location. Bamboo hotel is very run down. Overall good price for the location. Room’s cleanliness when we arrived was poor. Room is functional but could use some work and serious cleaning. TV is equipped with streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+ etc.).
Overall experience was poor unfortunately. I was told over the phone I would get a parking spot for my vehicle. When I arrived parking was not offered so I was told I’d have to park a few blocks away and pay daily rates.
Upon entry to the room I noticed it was very small. There was visible dirt under the mini fridge ad day in top, the table in the room had visible saturation in the compressed wood and it was bumpy and raised from not being cleaned properly. Not a big deal to some I know but for what I’m paying for the room I’d like it to be a clean room with no issues. I’m currently waiting for a refund of half of what I paid that was submitted by the property manager.
Everything was great except the kitchen utensil had mold on some of them, everything else was as advertised, location was fantastic.
I will stay here again on my next trip. Thank you for being great and responsive hosts.
