BUILDING SPALLING NOTICE
Pacific Monarch requires spalling work on the building exterior. Those who are familiar with the process know this work is messy & loud and will definitely have an impact on guests staying in your units when work is near it. The project will take approximately 3 months to complete with a 4 - 6 week pool closure planned.
There may be noise due to construction.

The condo was so well set-up. It was a minimalist’s dream. Every item was tucked away in a cabinet, drawer or cupboard which was my very favorite thing!! The lanai offered a beautiful view of the ocean. And although I sat on the lanai by myself there’s plenty of room out there for at least 4 people. The a/c was very cold (if you like it cold). The kitchen seemed fully equipped though we didn’t cook during our short stay. If you want to be in the heart of Waikīkī this is the place for you. There’s a coffee hut right downstairs which was very convenient. The garage (independent of the condo) was a tight squeeze, so be careful and drive slowly when parking and exiting if you use it.

We stayed there for 2 weeks in March. What's good: Since it is on the 29th floor, the partial view of the ocean and the view towards the east from the patio was the highlight of the place. The patio really makes the difference, since the unit is very compact. The glass wall that separates the patio consists of glass panels, two of which slide together with the third, to enable indoor/outdoor living. Being a corner unit, it is very light. The finishes and the cabinets are high end, and there is plenty of storage. The tub/shower has great pressure and is great, except that the handheld part didn't work. The location is great, 2 blocks from the beach, and is on a busy street with bus stops, lots of restaurants, shopping, and a grocery store within 3 blocks. What's not as good:The air conditioner! It is very old, and very very noisy. A problem day and night. The bed is very firm, I liked it, my wife didn't. All in all, a very nice unit in an older hotel. It does show some wear and tear typical of VRBO's.

We never got into the condo. The key code didn't work. After a call to Lei Realty, we received an email the next day telling us the condo owner no longer wanted to rent it out. The real problem was the lack of advance notice, we already arrived in Honolulu, it was almost midnight,. We had to just check into a place next door, then find another place for the stay.

"We recently stayed at this property from December 18th to 28th, 2024. Our stay was severely impacted by the extremely noisy and ineffective air conditioning unit, creating an intolerable living environment.Noise Violation: The air conditioning unit produced constant and disruptive noise levels consistently exceeding 75 decibels, far exceeding the permitted limit for residential units. We verified this using a noise level app.Inadequate Cooling: Despite the excessive noise, the unit was ineffective at cooling the apartment. Daytime temperatures soared due to the large windows, and even at night, temperatures remained uncomfortably high.Unresponsive Host:On the third day of our stay, we reported the AC issue to the host. They stated that they were unable to fix it.On the fifth day, we researched local building codes and measured the excessive noise levels. We then contacted the host again with this information, but received no further response until after our departure.This lack of communication and the significant impact of these issues on our stay were deeply disappointing. We hope that the host will address these concerns promptly to improve the comfort and enjoyment of future guests."

Good : Location, View and Amenities.
Bad : Air conditioner took more than 48 hrs to cool. i called up property mangement. and it was not fixed during my stay of 6 nights. So turn around time is not great. we had to resort to sleeping on the balcony.
Ugly : During checkout day , I got locked out and my key pad was not working. i called the number and left numerous msgs and urgent msgs and no one returned my calls or msg. I had to wait for cleaners to come in and let me in. Number listed on portal or their office is not monitored. No support from listing agent. If something is not working or broken you are on your own.

Overall we would give this property high marks! However, where some things are located, e.g., where the heck was the air conditioner! And the owners are way over directive - we will NEVER wear slippers I need better support for my feet for health issues ... they need to be less directive - and live with people wanting to or needing to wear shoes get a life!

Everything went well. Had issues checking in since our flight was delayed. The wrong data was initially provided so we had to rent an additional room for the night. Besides that, nice location and room.

This place is in the middle of all the Waikiki action, a great location. Well stocked full kitchen but no kitchen towels!!!! When I called they said can’t do kitchen towel because it’s vacation rental. What?!! They want us to use paper towel what a waste!!! The couch upholstery could use a good washing. We didn’t want to sit on it! And the pull out mattress was gross too!! They should really get that stuff cleaned!

Great location and the unit was more updated than the building. I liked the unit but not all the reminders of what I would be charged for. Not enough towels and no beach towels. Fortunately there is a ABC close by🙂
