Good location in Waikiki, in a safe neighborhood with easy access to restaurants. Not loud, and the on site parking is great. Unit is old, and quality is ok. Vents are dirty, washer and dryer are filthy, bathroom has rust, and table is wobbly. Carpet was fine but floors were dirty. Little communication from property management, and limited office hours to reach them.

This was by far the worst VRBO experience I’ve ever had. I booked a six-night stay but left after the 1st night due to the terrible condition of the property. I contacted the owner via email to share my concerns, but I never received a response—not even an acknowledgment.The photos are misleading. The property has popcorn ceilings, worn-out floors, visible stains, and a shower that is so old, you feel like you're in a campground shower (Thongs only). The bathroom had rust stains around the baseboards, and the cabinetry has a coat of white paint on the outside but old, brown wood inside. I didn’t feel comfortable using the utensils or glassware because of how unclean it felt.After one night, I couldn’t bear to stay any longer and moved to a hotel. I emailed the owner to let them know I had vacated and explained that the property wasn’t up to standard. I didn’t ask for a refund; I simply wanted to provide feedback. When I didn’t get a response, I followed up a few days later with a 2nd email—still nothing. No apology, no inquiry about what went wrong, no request for feedback—just silence.As someone who owns a VRBO property in Waikiki and employs a professional property manager, I find this level of neglect unacceptable. Good customer service isn’t dependent on how luxurious or budget-friendly a property is—it’s a basic expectation.Save yourself the trouble. Don’t book this property—not just because it’s in poor condition, but because the owner clearly doesn't care.
We have stayed at this place 3 times now and know what to expect. Perfect for our needs.

This particular unit has little to no sun because of large buildings surrounding it. No grab bars in bath tub. Toilet very low so not good for older renters. 95% who live here are older and old. Noisy because of street traffic and early morning patio/pool cleaning. Kitchen small wares need replacing.
The property was great. Easy access in and out and convenient for walking to shopping, dining and the beach. We will be back!

Loved staying in this walkable location, having a washer/dryer in unit, full kitchen and free secure parking.
Pros: Good location with easy access to beach, shopping & restaurants. Apt was well stocked with towels, kitchen, beach towels, hair dryer, etc. Good building security. Cons: Carpet was stained and dirty, apt had not been cleaned from previous tenant so we had to wait 2 hrs for housekeeping to clean it before we could check in. No contact info given in reservation so had to have apt security contact apt people in order to get housekeeping done so we could check in.

I checked in at 3pm, condo were still messy from previous guests, I called to let them know, then left for their cleaning, came back at 7:15pm, no one came to clean yet, I called again and a lade came at 8:20pm for quick cleaning, 9:30pm room were clean with a few clean towels left and 1 beach towel in bath room, the bed wasn't done with the right sheets cover.... it's horrible !!!Also a parking spot was not convenience for a person who have knee problem like me !However, thank you for offering to refund the amount of cleaning charged for me, I hope this inconvenience won't happen again for next guests.

First, they hadn't cleaned the apartment after the previous guest, and our first impression was very bad. We left the house, and they came to clean it, which took around 2hrs. After that, we washed every sheet and towel again before using them. Worse than that, the apartment has a lot of cockroaches. Even one night, one of them was on my arm in the bed. We stayed there for 7 nights, and after each night, the number of them increased. I heard that finding cockroaches in Hawaii is normal due to the weather, but this apartment really needs a pesticide.

WE absolutely loved staying here!!! It was so nice to be able to make breakfast or lunch and have laundry in the unit. Very comfortable space, We would definitely stay here again, close walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants.
We had an absolutely fantastic 9 day stay in April this apartment, with no issues.
To address some previous reviews: The apartment was extremely clean, and well stocked with towels and sheets, clear instructions for everything and great, fast communication from the host.
- Over our 9 days, we did not once see any roaches.
- There were no noise issues, with residents or dogs
- The residents were all friendly, there lots of guests too.
- The building is part of the resort area, where short-term stays are permitted, the hotel reception also said around 50% of the building is short-term stays.
- Reception staff were fantastic and also made the stay great.
- Parking is easy and free, with plenty of space for all sizes of cars. Just for context, all hotels, even the small, not great ones, charge $40-60 per day for parking and is more often than not valet.
- The sofa was new and extremely comfortable. It is not the grey one in the photos that people have mentioned, but a new, dark brown leather sofa which folds down into a bed.
Having stayed in many different apartments and hotels in Waikiki over the years, this is a fantastic, modern, brilliantly located apartment and we will definitely stay there again in the future.

I've stayed in the Four Paddle before -- location is great, walking distance to the fun stuff in Waikiki but far enough that it isn't crazy around the building and access to bus lines is convenient. Also picked this building again because I knew the parking situation was good.
Lots of sheets and towels provided. The room always felt kind of humid and sticky, even with the AC on, so I ended up going through most of them in a week. They provide beach chairs that look new but I didn't use them. Washer and dryer work well.
Woman across the hall from this unit has a small dog that barks constantly when left alone. At one point I saw a note on her door that read, "Your dog is at it again." Dog is friendly if you see it but I guess has separation anxiety.
I feel bad giving only 3 stars for cleanliness because I know roaches are impossible to deal with, even in an otherwise clean unit. The ones I saw were tiny, usually dead or dying, and probably coming another unit on the same floor. Never saw any in the cabinets or on cutlery or anything like that, but it was still gross to find 3 - 4 new roaches every morning on the kitchen floor. I washed whatever I wanted to use before using and let everything dry in the sealed dishwasher, and put all my food in the fridge; did not bother using any of the kitchen appliances since I didn't want to clean everything. I put out a roach trap and didn't find any more on the floor every day.
The condo staff were super friendly and helpful. The condo and amenities were clean and kept up nicely. I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 10 days and really enjoyed ourselves. Most things were good although there wasn’t a kitchen cloth or towel. We enjoyed all the restaurants around this hotel. Everyone there was helpful and very friendly.

As said in other reviews, we agree the futon needs replacing as you can actually feel the boards of the frame - ouch! But that aside, the shower was great with instant hot water, the bed super comfy. The towels and sheets were nice and the AC was cold. We used the grills on the 5th floor for our Christmas dinner and everything was wonderful. A dedicated parking spot in Waikiki? Yes please! And the washer was a bonus. I’d love to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much! Mahalo!

Very good location right behind the Ritz Carlton. Host was responsive to any questions. Parking was very easy. In unit washer/dryer was nice. Furniture was a little dated and the sofa as stated by others was uncomfortable. But all in all 5/5 stars for location and convenience!

We liked staying here because it was an easy walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants, etc. All appliances worked too. The condo is very outdated, although clean, so that's why it was more reasonable than others.
My husband and I enjoyed the condo because it was spacious & lots of storage. Laundry inside condo is always good in Hawaii. The building is older but that didn’t bother us. Loved that we could walk to a lot of destinations. The included parking space is a money saver. We would definitely stay here again.
Listing is too kind; dirty, soft greasy paint finish on terribly small cupboards. Dirty carpets, chipped tiles, scraps used on floor edges, kitchen countertop does not match (2 different stone pieces used) curtains can’t be opened in bedroom, airflow poor (no breeze or movement due to no fans). We had to buy cleaning products to clean a the place was quite dirty with grease and crumbs on countertop. In-sufficient kitchen items such as no platters for meat or cheeses etc, tongs are broken, only 1 wine glass (found the other broken under the oven). Ended up buying tea towels (which were too good to leave), dish cloths, BBQ tools and a plastic wine glass which we left at condo. Toilet runs, shower head is the size of a dinner plate and installed on the wrong angle. The owner needs to remodel and comply with the 30 day minimum which the area is zoned as. The neighbours were lovely but were honest with us about the fact that a 12 night stay is illegal. I checked this and it appears they may be correct. We felt embarrassed when we were leaving and saw a neighbour who was onto the illegal stay pointing us out to another neighbour. There are more faults but by now I think I have made my point.

Overall, very pleased with our rental of #607. Pool and BBQ area was outstanding. Instruction were very clear. Although we did have to sort out TV instruction which was not exactly as written. Bed was very comfortable. Couch was a NIGHTMARE. Needs to be replaced with something more comfortable. Fully furnished kitchen and laundry was great. Parked car on level 5 in Slot 607. Plenty of room for car. Parts of the unit were a little tired and could use an update. Kind Regards, Stanley & Sylvia Andersen
