Location was perfect! But some of the sliding doors were not working properly… and a small item but the toaster didn’t work at all!! And the AC unit worked but would never go off unless you completely turned it off… but it kept the unit cooled thank goodness! And that’s what matters.
7/10-7/17- it was sufficient for our needs. The front door didn’t close by itself all the way but it was fine. The bar stools wouldn’t stay locked in one position but it wasn’t a big deal.Overall we had a pleasant stay especially since the beach, shops and bus stops were so close.Thank you
Check in was smooth. I wish door could be programmed to something besides last 4 of phone number. There is not a deadbolt like the listing says, the door just closes and locks from the outside like a hotel with no way to secure from inside. We were missing linens for the pull out bed and messaged property manager on Monday through VRBO app. They immediately apologized for the inconvenience and asked if they had permission to enter and drop them by if we were not there. We said yes. They then messaged again saying the cleaners said there were linens in the closet and asked if we checked. I told them we did and all we had was a fitted sheet. I never received another msg from them after that. I proceeded to msg the next 2 days as we were using a fitted sheet as a blanket so our kids could have sheets on their bed. I finally called the number in the front door and got a very rushed person who I’m not sure even works for the property management company. They also said they should be in the closet and I told them they weren’t. They dropped some by later that night.I wouldn’t expect the condo to look like the pictures or be accurate to the listing. The beds are not new, they have major dips in the middle. The couch was filthy and missing cushions. This place overall functioned since we are easy but I wouldn’t recommend it. I would ask the owner to check with the management company. They are not doing a great job and if it were my property I would want to know.
The apartment is in poor condition, with worn furniture, cockroaches everywhere, a bad mattress, unpleasant odors in the kitchen and bathroom, and dirty and stained towels. The pool and jacuzzi are closed and under repair. I do not recommend it, do not rent here.
Waikiki Banyan is located a few blocks from Waikiki Beach. You can watch the surfing from the balcony. The beds are comfortable and the apartment is spacious enough for a family of 4. Parking is busy but didn’t have an issue finding a spot and parking attendants are very friendly and helpful.

The property is right near the beach. Clean building and safe. The only thing is it’s right in the heart of Waikiki so it’s very noise.
Great location to the best part of Waikiki beach, soft sand no rocks. Property was clean but a bit tired. In need of new chairs, stools. Doors between LR and BR would not work, fell off track, looked like it hasn’t worked in years, so couldn’t do separate tv watching. Bathroom needs repair under towel rack. All the chrome is tarnishing from salt in the air, they need regular waxing not just cleaning to help prevent tarnishing. Beach chairs are old but better than nothing. Very noisy from traffic, louvered windows don’t block the sound. The building had several fire alarms with notice to vacate through speakers in the unit, by using stairway only and if handicapped, which I am, to use handicap procedure which I couldn’t find and called the hotel, they couldn’t find it either!
This place is not fancy, but it served us well as a launch pad for enjoying Waikiki and Oahu. The parking on site is an excellent benefit that saves us tons of time and money.
The furniture is a little rickety and the track for the sliding door is a trip hazard. Other than that, it's great. Close to the elevator but we never heard any hallway noise.

Location and views fantastic. Orientation of apt a touch noisey. Apt tired and fixtures in need of update eg. no toilet paper holder and kitchen basic. Beds uncomfortable and too soft. Floor rail for room dividers/ pocket door a walking hazard with protruding nail. Extra towels provided which was handy/ appreciated
The size of the aprtment was good. We didnt like the rail on the floor. The matreses and bed sheets were no god. You should have 2 doble bed size. Perfect location. Great parking, and all apliances work fine. Should chang the shower head. Overall 8.5 out of 10
We (a family of four) loved our 5-night stay at this wonderful property. The location had very convenient and easy access to Waikiki and the shops. The place was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities both inside the place and inside the complex. Check in was super easy and the host was very organized and always available for any questions. We’d love to go back!
