Lovely home base on the North Shore of Oahu. Thankful for the AC which quickly cooled off the place. All the “extras” for the beach were much appreciated as well from the shade umbrella, sand toys, beach mat, boogie boards to just having a cooler. We visited Waimea Beach twice, gorgeous beach and so calm in August, but go early. The water colors were amazing and my son was thrilled to jump from the rocks there. David, the security man, gave a nice warm welcome upon our arrival. I was driving without my lights on at dusk, thought they were on auto, but Dave kindly informed us to make sure we were traveling safe for the next time. Also, ordering to the near by Ted’s Bakery was so convenient and yummy!
Staying at Turtle Bay is so nice as it’s so close to everything. The instructions were very clear and accessing our rental was simple. Everything was very clean and it was nice having beach items available for our beach trips like boogie boards and an umbrella. From here it’s a quick drive to the Polynesian Cultural center, Ted’s bakery and Turtle bay. Do be careful with sweets as I lost a bag of m&m’s to sugar ants so do not leave sweets on the counter.
The pool location is about a 100 feet away from the cabin. It was nice a peaceful. I would stay there again.
Great location, updated, clean, and it provides all the basics needed for a fun Hawaii vacation. Unfortunately, the unit next door that shares a wall with the rental was under construction. Our experience at this rental was the opposite of a "relaxing vacation on Oahu". Between 830am and 5pm, there was construction happening almost every day. On some of the days, there was construction on the framework of the wall that separates the units. The wall was shaking and there was continuous drilling/sawing so loud that my wife and I couldn't hear each other talking. I wish I could post a video showcasing how ridiculous it was. The property manager tried to work with us and refunded the cost of one day. He communicated that the construction has been ongoing for about a year. He was very polite on the phone, but didn't really respond to text messages or VRBO messages. We decided to adapt and not let it ruin our vacation. We left the condo between 9am and 5pm every day. We basically used the condo as a place to sleep. As the construction crew arrived around 8 or 830, we made preparations to leave as the loud noises began. The construction was not disclosed in the description. We appreciate the refund for one day, but we would have never spent 3000 to stay at a condo you can only enjoy at night. We felt misled with limited options. So be warned.On a positive note, If you can confirm there is no construction next door, we highly recommend staying here. If not, good luck.
The location was great! Steps from one of the three pools, a short walk to the beach, and easy access to the main road. Loved the available beach chairs, towels, and blanket.The beds were very comfortable and the AC in the bedrooms worked very well to keep the rooms cool at night. The upstairs loft has a louvered window that didn't close very tight which allowed some warm air and noise in from the outside. Plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen to use for cooking. We found ourselves running out of forks for the 5 of us before running out of any other dishes. We didn't make use of the charcoal grill in the pool area, but did use the oven and stove which worked well for us. The AC in the main living area worked more like a fan than AC - blowing somewhat cool air (as mentioned in other reviews). The other two AC units in the bedrooms, in combination with ceiling fans was able to keep the entire place comfortable, though a little humid. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and I would stay here again if we ever travel back to the area!
This was a great place for our family to spend our vacation. Easy access to get around, super close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Waimea Falls. The beach is a short walk 5-6 min from the unit which was very convenient and one of the pools is just outside the unit which our family used every day. The place was tidy and the kitchen well stocked. It was great for everyone to have space and the kids to have their own room upstairs in the loft. The fans were efficient in keeping it cool and we only needed used the A/C in the evenings to keep it cool for sleeping. The property management was attentive and friendly. Would recommend :)
The stay was wonderful and the location cannot be beat. Truly. Very close to the resort and nice beaches. it was clean, if a little dated (like everywhere in Hawaii). AC was good and kept us cool. Not far from the parking space. There were also great sand toys and stuff to use, which was a huge benefit.
This was the perfect location and place for our Oahu stay. We loved being on the North shore, and this condo is perfectly situated between everything we wanted to do. We went to the PCC, did some hiking, ate great food, and stopped along all the beaches. We took a couple days and drove to Hunama Bay, the USS Arizona, and did a whale watching tour. Even with longer drives, we were super happy to be staying at the North shore. Our condo was really quiet, and it felt super peaceful going home each night. We had plenty of room to spread out, and it was wonderful to do laundry at the end of each day. We enjoyed having a separate bedroom and bathroom from our kids, and it made showering each night quick and easy. The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed, and we greatly appreciated the beach chairs, towels, and beach toys that were available. We couldn't have asked for a better condo or location! I highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful property. Such a great home away from home. Lord of beach toys and some snorkels and beach chairs are provided. Location can't be beat. One of the beds in the upstairs area is extremely firm.
The location of this place is amazing. It’s close brought to major spots without the pockets of traffic that you occasionally experience in the area. We had to reach out to the host a couple of times and they have been extremely responsive and friendly.
Enjoyed the quietness of North Shore and short driving distance to food trucks, Kualoa Ranch, Polynesian Center. Traffic was crazy in Honolulu and this was so much better location for us and our lifestyle.
Great property… great location and full of amenities. Unit was very clean and well equipped to accommodate for families. We definitely will be back.
Overall everything was good. Easy access, we like the North Shore, so was very enjoyable.

Beautiful property! Easy check in & access to property. (Our flights were delayed by 3-hours, so we arrived after 11:00 pm, O’ahu time. The gate code was not working, so I called the owner. He was very nice & got us in through the gate, then got a new key code for us. I felt bad with it being so late, but he was very kind and understanding.)
We bought groceries & cooked meals to keep food costs minimal. Tupperware was in drawer for left over food. (I had brought plastic wrap & sandwich bags just in case; Tupperware was even better.) There were a few things like mayo, mustard, etc. We weren’t sure so we bought some at the store. Of course we didn’t use it all, so left what we didn’t use.
Ice trays in freezer were great! They also had a cooler and ice packs so we were able to take lunches with us during the day. They also had a few beach chairs and towels that could be used while there.
Air conditioning and fans were life savers! Great showers/bathrooms. Washing machine seemed to take a long time to wash a load, so give yourself a little extra time if you need to do a load of laundry. (Not sure what cycle/options husband chose, so maybe that was part of the reason.)
I would definitely stay there again! If you want to do a lot on the southern end of Oahu, this is still a great place to stay. It was quiet & easily accessible. Drives are beautiful! Traffic may be a little heavy at times (but if you allow yourself an extra 10-15 mins, you’ll be fine!)

Condo is pretty big with 2 bedrooms (one is a loft) and 2 full bathrooms.
Everything was very clean and the location provides access to great public beaches (and the nearby hotel restaurants and bars).
Kitchen was stocked very well. The appliances were clean and in top shape.
Beds were also comfortable and there were plenty of towels, toys, beach chairs and amenities needed for a stay in HI.
One complaint: the AC units downstairs were pretty dated and needed to be cleaned/drained and the one in the living room didn't seem to blow cold air.
There was a separate AC unit upstairs that worked wonderfully.
Air conditioner in main room blows room-temperature air. Does NOT cool the room. Uncomfortable in the main room. Bedroom and loft air conditioners worked okay.
Parking permit was NOT on the counter as it was supposed to be. The policy of parking permit was changed 6 months ago, but the rental documentation still mentions the security building as where the permit should be obtained.
Availability of beach chairs, boards, and toys was nice to have. Availability of a beach umbrella, tent, or shelter would be a nice addition for visitors.
Written directions to property were accurate - except that the use of Google Maps and Apple iDevice maps directs the visitor to the East side of the resort instead of the West where the condo is located.
Please make a note on the directions to that effect so visitor don't end up at the wrong gate at the east side and cannot enter the facility.
Though a map was mentioned in the email with the directions, there was not map image included in the email.
Perfect location for a mix of luxury and local living. Just a walk away from the Ritz hotel and Turtle Bay if you prefer an upscale experience. I highly recommend driving along the north side of the island as there’s plenty of beaches, local shops and mountain views with less tourist foot traffic. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything was nice and as advertised. Our only complaint was small bugs on the kitchen counter that got into our breakfast muffins the first day but we just kept our food in the fridge for the rest of the stay.
The house was clean and well stocked with necessities, and communication with host was easy and he was very helpful with local information and recommendations. A+++
I had great time here with my family. This unit is well equipped, well maintined and located conveniently. I'd like to stay here again next time.
Clean and spacious condo that makes your time in Hawaii comfortable and homey. Location on the north shore away from the hustle and bustle from Honolulu and Waikiki but close to many beautiful beaches and plenty to do! Thank you for a great stay!
The location of the property is excellent. Love the public beach access at the Turtle Bay Resort. Property is clean and has all the amenities needed. Only shortfall is the primary’s mattress. It’s like sleeping in the back seat of a car, big hump in the middle of the mattress with sinking holes on each side.
The condo was easy to get to, very clean and perfect for our family of 4 for the week. The gate code, door code & pool code all worked seamlessly. The kitchen is well stocked, and there are towels, chairs & several other items available to take to the beach. I highly recommend this rental unit if you are looking to spend time on the north shore.
Absolutely amazing time in turtle Bay at this property. The best thing about this rental, was we had access to all of the amenities at the turtle Bay resort. We played at the beach park, we snorkeled, and we even went horseback, riding, all enjoying the nightlife in the resort itself. Highly recommended.
We loved staying here in our four-night stay on the North Shore. Was very close to the Turtle Bay Resort. The condo was very nice and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was well stocked, especially with kitchen items (including various condiments and spices), and beach items (kid toys, floats, child life preservers and beach chairs), and plenty of beach towels. The pool was great and we enjoyed the convenience of the nearby Turtle Bay hotel shops, restaurants, etc.
The property was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. There are some fun places to explore nearby.
As far as the condo, once checked in, it was clean, and comfortable, and felt like we were staying at a friend's house. No complaints or criticism. It worked perfect for what we were looking for.
The one thing I want to add is when we showed up, the gate access code had changed and we could not get into the property. I only mention this because of how it was handled. We called the number provided, and it was answered promptly and it sounds like the gate code had just automatically changed. Within probably 3 minutes, we had the new gate code and were on our way. The only reason I tell you this is because of how it was handled. Things like this happen, but what impressed me was how quickly and nicely it was handled. I mention this because mistakes happen, and it says a lot of about the property manager on how quick this was handled. We had zero other issues over the week we were these, but if we did, I assume they would have been handled in the same professional manner. Thanks again!
