Overall a good experience. Communication with owner was very good. The beds were comfortable. The fridge and dishwasher were newer. A/C units worked well, it was to be able to cool off at the end of the day. The sliding door for the deck was very difficult to slide, needed to use both hands to slide it. Some cosmetic issues, lots of scuffs on wall. Paint is blotchy on the walls. As far as function and comfort it was good. We had a great time on Oahu and it was nice to have a comfortable bed at the end of the day.
We absolutely loved our stay. Tamara was very helpful with providing all the clear instructions from airport to rental entry. No issues with check-in or check-out. We enjoyed the condo’s proximity to the bars and restaurants at the resort whist having quiet time at the condo looking out over the golf course.
House is in an incredible location! It’s quiet, calm, great for families with children and within a short walking distance of beach front that isn’t overcrowded. The house itself has everything you need, pots/pan/cups/plates/towels/beach chairs/etc. It is outdated and poorly put together, the decor style is all over the place. House looks worn down, but I guess the wear down is expected from beachy weather.
Needs some TLC. Bathroom doors need to be jiggled to close properly, could create some uncomfortable situations. Tile repair in upper bathroom needs attention. Overall great place and great location for our group.
I wanna start off by saying that location location location is so important when going to an island in Hawaii. Having stayed on the west side having stayed in Waikiki and now having stayed up in the North Shore area has been by far my favourite location to stay. Tamara was a very gracious host really quick responses we had everything we needed including the amenities that were amazing! Now would I say this is a very posh spot? No would I say this is a good affordable alternative? YesThe Home can use a little bit more love and a little bit more cleanliness for the cleaning fee that we pay for but that is just a minor inconvenience overall five out of five stay thank you so much Tamara for opening up your home to us
This was our second location during our Trip. First was in Honolulu.Easy Check in.Clean and spacious!Quiet area with lots of pool, tennis, basketball. Kitchen has everything you need! Would stay here again!
We loved this location and the condo has all the basics to enjoy! Is it posh and updated? No. Was it incredibly clean, easy to navigate and a perfect home base for our 4 nights? Absolutely. Thank you for providing a laid back and easy to enjoy vacation space in the beautiful North Shore!
Quiet, relaxing place to stay. Only issue found was tub/shower was dirty. Located an hour away from activities at Waikiki.

It is a Dump! It was like an out outdated summer camp. Broken down furniture covered with dirty faded stained covers. Beds so small and terribly uncomfortable.cheap old terrible pillows Pull out bed impossible to sleep on Sheets did not seem fresh and clear. Towels and wash cloths old and stained Carpet on loft stairs was filthy. The so called closet to hang cloths was a bar 3-4 feet off the ground in the 1/2 bathroom. Not even tall enough to hang a dress. Besides who would want to hang their clothes in a small bathroom where people use the toilet??? Shower was very difficult to turn on and sometimes impossible to regulate temp due to broken or stripped gauge. Door to outside deck kept going off track. We got locked outside of the condo on deck. Had to yell and disturb other guests till someone heard us and came to our rescue. The whole experience was really bad and embarrassing for me who invited friends to a lovely get away which this was Not The initial listing said ocean view which it did Not have. Listed hot tub which it did not have very disappointed!
Great place with a 2 year old and the perfect patio. Place had more than enough for us!
We booked somewhat last minute when family who had already booked in another unit invited us to meet up for the T-giving holiday after losing a beloved family member. Booking, price & communication received from owner & VRBO were great as was the location. We had to contact the owner when the pool code in the instructions didn't work - she got back to us immediately.
The condo is nice & was clean, kitchen appliances were newer, but furniture was dated & some maintenance is needed. Loose door handles (tried to find a screwdriver to just tighten it but didn't), chipped thresholds, worn carpet on stairs, tub hardware was old & very difficult to pull on, + many little things were noticeable like patched up ceiling/floor/paint in many areas. The couch wasn't comfortable & had a slipcover. Chairs & other furniture had double cushions on them & were just worn looking and cluttery.
We were not bothered by this enough to deter our fun holiday, but would probably not book again w/more than the 3 people we had or until it gets some updates.
Pros: the pool area & parking spot close by, lanai was screened in & kept the bugs out, there was a boogie board and some pool toys, 2 beach chairs, beach towels, etc. there, 10 minute walk to the resort & a nice walking trail on the golf course + beach trails made it lovely.
Cons: eclectic/dated furnishings, had to buy dish soap as none was provided for hand washing, upstairs foldout dipped down at head & had old headboard sitting behind it
Nice location. Good having access to a kitchen. A few things could be updated but worked fine for what we needed.
We had a great time at the family beach get away. The unit was just as described, and clean. It was close to all activities and we enjoyed walking to turtle bay resort for sunsets and beach time. We will stay again. Thank you Tamara.
We loved staying at turtle bay. The location was excellent! The condo was a good size and plenty of beds for our family!
This place needs help. The refrigerator leaks water onto the floor, the upstairs bedroom is very hot and the portable air conditioner puts out a lot of heat and they only want you to use the air conditioners for 4 hours. I would not recommend this unit at all. Also the furnishings are not great either.
We stayed at Tamara’s place for 6 days and had a wonderful time. We were comfortable and had all the amenities of home. We would stay here again and would recommend this apartment to others.
We enjoyed staying at the condo very much! It has a great washer and dryer! We love the area and that it’s close to the ocean. We were mainly only there to sleep so it was perfect for us!
Easy to find. Easy to check in. Loved that there were beach chairs, towels, and some beach toys. Quick walk to the pool and about 10 min walk to turtle bay + restaurants. Beaches and shave ice are just a quick drive away. Love the quiet of the north shore.
Loved the location. It was close to were my daughter lives.
Very functional like home away from home
Property was in good condition and host was very responsive with and questions or issues. Also, very well stocked with beach supplies (chairs, sand toys, snorkels, etc)
Property is on the a bit dated, but suited our family of 4 just fine with plenty of space for us to unwind after our adventures for the day. Access to Turtle Bay amenities was a plus.
My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and had all we needed to cook easy meals and provided beach equipment we needed. Contacting the host for anything we needed was easy and they responded promptly.
Fit us all well, had beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, washer and dryer, etc.
Nice gated community with 3 pools.
Easy walk to Turtle Bay Resort.
The only issue we did have was the upstairs a/c unit was having issues and didn’t work despite the HVAC coming a couple times to try and fix but I’m sure they got it fixed by now. It was comfortable downstairs without the ac running at night in late June.
Lovely property. Stocked with everything you need to cook and also beach assessories. Loved having laundry and exploring turtke bay and the north shore!
Good location easy to get in
The owner of this unit was very easy to work with and had great communication. The unit itself is very dated and needs a great deal of TLC and updating. The unit itself was not clean and we respected the rules of the owner by removing our shoes at the front door but our socks and feet were constantly black from the unclean floors. The unit had a musty smell and we woke up feeling stuffy and congested each morning. There was caked on dust on the ceiling fans and on the fan in the living room and bedroom. While the location of this unit is very good, the unit itself is functional at best and I wouldn't stay at this unit again unless significant improvements were made. We thank the owner for her helpfulness and communication.
