Truly the Most Incredible Stay We've Ever Had! This was hands-down the most incredible place we’ve ever stayed. The view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that every morning felt like a dream. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was Tammy. Her customer service is unmatched. From the moment we booked to the moment we left, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you're thinking about booking this place — do it. You won’t regret it!

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Makani Sands and the first time in this unit. My fav unit so far. It was nicely appointed and the sofa bed was comfortable--which is saying a lot for a sofa bed. It is a beautiful location.

This is a great rental. Clean, comfortable and had all the amenities you would need. The view was spectacular. Most of the pictures we have of the sunset are taken from the lenai. The bed was comfortable. We loved the AC! It was so convenient that they had beach chairs, a boogie board and a snorkel to borrow, that was over and above.
We would definitely rent this place again. And the property manager was great to work with.
This property was in a nice location and easy to get around. Our unit had a perfect view of the ocean and the waves spashing on the sun deck were awesome to watch.
We would love to stay here again.

We have stayed at Makani Sands in #201 a handful of times ...definitely it has become “a home away from home”. The unit is perfect for the two of us, and the A/C is ideal for relief from the intense heat. The kitchen is adequately supplied, however, it could eventually use some newer cookware. The owner has indicated plans to replace the sleeper sofa in the living room, which would be another awesome upgrade. We must say, Mahalo to Tammy, Debbie, and Rick, all wonderful overseers of Makani Sands, as well as Mahalo to Mariano and his team that provide housekeeping service to Makani. Also, we highly recommend Mala Ocean Tavern for top notch food and service. Planning to book again several times in 2025, our favorite place on Maui, Makani Sands!
The only thing that wasn’t clear is that you can’t see the sea from your balcony. And that air conditioning the first day didn’t help a lot. For the rest more than ok

Waking up to the ocean view was incredible! The property was quiet and peaceful after all our sight seeing around the island. I really appreciated having the cooler, beach chairs and boogie board. Bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked great in both the bedroom and living room. We swam or snorkeled every day in front of Makani Sands and we saw turtles every day. Great location, great trip!

The condo is beautiful, maybe better than it looks in the photos. It has a great view. The AC works well and was needed as it was pretty warm when we visited Maui. The beach right outside doesn’t have enough sand to sit on as the water comes right up to a sea wall, but that’s fine because there are lounge chairs right on the property by the beach access. The beach is safe for swimming, has decent snorkeling, and a lot of turtles. I’d stay again if I returned to Maui.

Second time staying at Makani Sands and it is by far one of the best places to stay in Lahaina. Clean, quiet, spacious. Walking distance to great food. And of course the private beach access with a vibrant reef and several sea turtles that are always present.
This property has a studding view right on the ocean.
Overall great experience with our stay. Condo was clean, organized, with all your basic needs. Balcony overlooks the water and there is a patio area down below to lounge. The only real caveat was that the washer and dryer are very old and had a bit of a musty smell to them, only relevant if you plan to wash clothes on vacation. Otherwise a very nice place to stay.
