We visit the Wailea area every year and decided to try the Grand Wailea condos. Very convenient location. Only downside is the air-conditioning unit is pretty loud. Couldn't hear the TV unless we turned it up pretty loud, but we don't go to the islands to watch TV : )We would rent again. Really enjoyed our stay.
AC wall unit could not be set below 72ºF or it would freeze up and stop working. (Sticker on unit and property manager) AC unit was loud. It started and stopped a lot at 72ºF which was disturbing and didn't maintain that room temp. Room had vents, fans and windows but we rented the VRBO because it had AC and assumed it would be able to maintain a lower temp than outdoors. Also ceiling and 1 table top fan were loud too. Contact was responsive and offered to help us find other accommodation but we didn't want to use vacation time finding and relocating.
Can’t beat the location! Walkable access to Wailea shops & restaurants. In unit washer/dryer was very convenient. Provided beach equipment includes 2 chairs, 2 beach towels, umbrella, cooler, & snorkel gear. Overall, fantastic place to stay!
Wonderful, responsive host. Great location.
We loved the convenient Wailea location as so close to everything we enjoy including; morning walks along the ocean path, Akamai coffee, farmer's market, Wailea Shops, the new Koast Restaurant and our favourite beach - Keawakapu!Lovely terrace with a garden oasis of trees, shrubs and birds gave a wonderful sense of privacy amid nature.
My husband and I traveled to Maui for a work conference and the condo was a perfect location for us to walk to the conference in the morning and walk for dinner in the evening. Condo was clean and we loved waking up to birds each morning.
The neighbourhood is very quiet and we had a great time. Will try the 1-bedroom condo if come next time.
Kitchen facilities and sink not adequate for preparing meals. Condo is dated and needs lots of TLC. Tamara was very timely with response to issues.
Tamara's properties are always in great condition and well maintained. We book our Maui vacations around the property availability. Great communication and amenities. Walking distance to the beaches and shopping. Best place for an affordable stay.
As noted in the listing, this studio does not have a full kitchen. It does have a microwave, 3/4 size fridge, and grills by the pool. Everything in the unit was great: comfortable bedding, beach towels and gear, and a private lanai with a table and chairs. I enjoyed bird watching and star gazing from the lanai. The complex is very quiet at night, and you could easily walk to the dining and shopping at the Shops of Wailea. There are excellent beaches nearby that are good for all ages and activities. It’s an easy walk to Ulua Beach, but the walk back to the condo is uphill. Maui is my happy place, and Grand Champions is my favorite place to stay.
All amenities stated were provided. Property was clean, neat, well attended.
Tamara was very available to answer questions and provide any needed assistance.
Would recommend to friends.
Tamra was
This property is absolutely perfect, clean, and in a convenient location to explore the island. Love & cannot wait to come back!
Nice studio perfect for my husband and I. Great location easy to get around the island. Only complaint was that there is no assigned parking spot just have to park in guest parking which isn’t always convenient and you have to carry beach stuff two buildings over. However that wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. Really enjoyed the area and the balcony was beautiful with all the foliage and birds.
This was an excellent location. The property is beautiful, safe, and nicely located close to beaches and dining options. The units are quiet and very private. 5 Stars!
This studio was perfect for our stay. It is within minutes of the beach, other hotels, shopping, and dining areas. It was very clean when we arrived. Pretty much anything we needed was available to us. The in-home washer ane dryer was really convenient for washing/drying swimsuits and towels. The lanai was a nice place to sit and look at the stars and listen to all of the birds. The bed was pretty comfortable, more so than most hotels we've stayed in. We were always able to find parking and if we decided to walk to the shops it was only about 10 minutes. Recommendations: Akamai Coffee at Wailea Village is super close to the studio, LikePoke, O'o farms tours, Maui Chocolate and coffee Tour with Ann in Kula, Snorkeling at Ahihi Cove and Kanahena Cove - there's so much more but these are my favorites. I would definitely stay at one of Steve and Tamara's places again!
