Have always wanted to try out this property and didn’t disappoint! Kristi was amazing to work with, very accommodating with our requests and communication was great!
The condo had everything that was needed for a great stay. There was beach stuff in the closest, which was great to have. The place is a little dated, but adequate. The only frustration we experienced is the condos had some construction going on during our stay which meant limited parking, loud noises and construction guys invading the private patio space in the mornings.
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Maui at this property. The condo was as described and while the resort as a whole is a little dated, it was perfect for our budget trip and priced appropriately. We made use of the boogie boards, chairs, cooler ( even ice packs) and umbrellas supplied by the condo. Everyone was friendly and the grounds were beautiful and clean. We will absolutely be back to rent this place again.
We really enjoyed our stay here at Sugar Beach. This condo was clean, bright, comfortable, and steps from the pool, BBQ area and the beach. Close to parking. Lanai looks out onto the manicured garden with a Koi fish pond and waterfall. Great spot for a morning coffee and to read a book. The owner was very easy to deal with, quick to respond, helpful and very accommodating. We highly recommend this unit and will definitely be booking here again! Mahalo!!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here! Convenient location, only 20minutes from the airport and walkable distance to the beach. Kristi was super sweet and always reachable when we needed her! Only suggestion we would make is maybe upgrading the bed, it was not the most comfortable to sleep in. Otherwise highly recommend for couples or families, great area and lots of food/beach options a quick drive away!
Update visitor’s manual, TV instructions did not match the picture that was provided. TV in bedroom had no instructions and could not access, made Netflix work last two nights but wanted local channels. Water pressure was fantastic, everything else worked,
We loved our time at Sugar Beach Resort. Very convenient to have a restaurant on site for something quick to eat, especially the first afternoon that we got there when we hadn’t went grocery shopping yet. Our first time on a ground condo and we liked it since it was so close to access the pool. Although, we couldn’t see the ocean, we would definitely rent one again. Beach is very clean and so is the grounds of the resort. Condo had everything we needed with some extras we didn’t expect, such as paper towel, garbage bags, soap, toilet paper to name a few things. We bought some paper towel and toilet paper to pay it forward. Definitely recommend this condo/resort.
The new floors in living room and kitchen are really nice after getting rid of the old carpet. The couch and chair are very uncomfortable. If I sit back on the couch my feet don’t touch the floor and the chair is so low I can barely get up. I’m 5’5” so not that short. I’m hoping they soon replace the couch cause my husband and U stayed 15 days and we both have back aches from not being comfortable on the couch and chairs. Hope they replace them before next year.
The condo was clean, nothing fancy but it worked for us.

Great spot right across the beach. The property had lots of trees and fruits. Parking spot was nice, convenient to get around places distance wise
The photos for this unit should be updated, as most of the unit has new laminated floors. Only carpet is in the bedroom and it is in very good shape. The bed was very comfortable with a two inch mattress topper on it. A/C worked well. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, storage containers, seasonings, etc. There is even blue ice in the freezer to throw in your cooler during the day. Love that is was on the ground floor, as we did both a morning and evening stroll on the beautiful beach. My husband used the gas grills that are on site (and cleaned daily by the resort). The unit is older, but again, everything worked and it was clean. Great central location was well.
My wife and I arrived for an eight-day trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was perfect! The grounds were immaculate, with flowers blooming, grass cut, and birds singing as we stepped into Maui Paradise. We quickly found our condo and walked into a clean, Maui-style décor. The pool is twenty-five feet away from our patio. It is a beautiful pool. The beach, another two steps away is excellent to view the incredible sunrises and sunsets. Also, Sugar Beach Bakery is a ten-minute walk on the beach to incredibly freshly made pastries and coffee, and in the afternoon, enjoy shaved ice, shop for local produce, and explore all the Maui souvenirs two local ladies offer.
Sugar Beach Resort has everything: great decor, well stocked with all your utensils and spices, a beautiful patio for relaxing and enjoying meals, great furnishings, a fantastic pool and hot tub, especially for the late-night drink and soak with a peaceful Maui vibe. Amazing communal BBQs with a great fun vibe when cooking with neighbours. The grounds are immaculate, and the ground crew smiling and wishing you a good morning while keeping Sugar Beach beautiful.
Sugar Beach Resort is ideally located and welcomes everyone from young couples and families to empty nesters. Our host is excellent at answering all our pre-trip and trip questions. Sugar Beach 108 condo has the Maui vibe, and we are already trying to return next year. Thank you for everything! We are blessed!
The condo was comfortable and safe. Bathroom needs a little updating of vent but overall everything was great!

Sugar Beach is an excellent resort directly on a very long beach, lots of lounge chairs, pool and hot tub. Many restaurants near by in Kihei and the central location is an ideal base for exploring Maui.
Stayed two nights. Couldn't get wifi and no TV until late afternoon the 2nd day. Sliding screen door stuck constantly. Maintaince worker came and tried to fix it for hours. Still didn't work well. Loud screaming neighbors above us kept us up at night.
Brought the kids and wife to visit family and enjoy our first vacation together, this place was great. They had an amazing location with the ocean and pool literally feet away from the back porch, Dina’s sandwich shop is in the same spot which makes it great if you don’t feel like going out or cooking. Definitely coming back here again.
The condo is very nice, clean and comfortable. I read reviews about bad carpet and apparently it’s gone as the condo has nice vinyl flooring and what feels like new carpet in the bedroom. The bed is excellent! One of the most comfortable I’ve been on. The kitchen is very well stocked, the only thing we couldn’t find was a shot glass but ABC stores have plenty.
It was our first time in a ground floor condo at SB. The lanai sits behind the koi pond and fountain so there is no real view of the ocean. That’s not a big deal for us since we are at the pool most of the time.
We already have a return trip booked, so that says something.
