We loved this condo. Clean, well appointed, quiet. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the relaxing sound of the ocean. Nice swimmable beach and pool. Really just perfect.
All around a great place. Easy. Accessable. Sugar Beach is terrific to walk on, not the best swimming. Condo could use updated furniture on the lanei. Overall no complaints.
Property and View is priceless.Could invest in new linens and towels as the towels smell musky. Area rug also needs a shampoo.

THE GOOD-Firstly (and maybe most importantly), this owner and unit is an overall 4.7 experience(my opinion). Communications with John were a solid 5.0. When asked a question prior to or during the rental, the answers were immediate. Excellent owner.- Secondly, cleanliness of the unit upon arrival was a 5.0. - The view is a 4.7. The side window was useless to us because it is on the 2nd floor. We kept the shade closed the entire 11 days because the adjoining property can see into the condo. No biggie , but it would have been nice to have that shade open.- Sugar Beach location (for my wife and I who like to *relax* and separate from the humans) was a 4.8. There are always a few loud kids or cars that affect the resort experience, but Sugar Beach Resort is a nice location if you don't want a crowd. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping, this is not a good option. If you want quite, it's great.- Bed was SUPER comfortable. Only 5 pillows, but enough for us. - The lawn chairs, pool, public bathroom, lawn, landscaping, beachfront, stairs, elevators, were all in good condition.THE BAD in 2/25- The ice maker is inoperable.- TV speaker in living room was intermittently crackling- Condition of the overall Sugar Beach Resort is a 3.8. ------It's clean, but the overall condition of electrical, mechanical, structural, grills, is in need of attention (as of 2/25)Summation: I just booked another 2 weeks at SBR!!!
Excellent location. The complex was right on the water and the views were awesome. Communication with the owner was great and check in and out was seamless.
The location is amazing. Very comfortable place with all the amenities including AC and in apt laundry. The owners and agent are flexible and accommodating. The resort is decent, but the beach and views are spectacular!
Very relaxing stay. Amazing view and very quiet condo. Great comfortable bed and everything you need. John was a great host, I had issue with wifi when I arrived and John called provider and walked me through resetting it. Worked the whole rest of my stay. Spent most of my time on the Lanai. Second floor condo and so close to the ocean you don’t even need to leave. Pool, hot tub and grills at the resort all work great and never real busy. Easy parking right in front of condo. I did not want to leave but back to reality. Can’t wait to return!

Beach view from balcony was awesome. Hearing the waves in the condo was so relaxing. Dina's sandwiches shop food was great and not having to clean up to go out. Couple suggestions, 1. Replace the sofa 2. Fix the ice maker. 3. Replace the toster.Everything overall was excellent. We will stay here again next time.
My girlfriend and I stayed the week and the condo was great. Ive stayed at Sugar Beach Resort several times and this condo worked great. Close to everything in Kihei and love the view.

Yes, it could be updated a bit. If so, eg, new sofa, nicer furniture on the lanai, nice sheets - that’s all, it could rent for more easily!

This property was the perfect spot for two to enjoy a vacation. The views were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need. There were beach chairs and coolers available. The location was excellent for restaurants and all the sight seeing you want to do. The resort was a quiet place to stroll the beach, sit at the pool or enjoy the sunsets.
John’s place was wonderful! Beautiful balcony to sit and read, relax or enjoy a nice meal. In the evening we would listen to the waves from the living room. It was very relaxing!
Spacious and well-equipped condo, nicely furnished. The lanai with its view at the ocean is amazing. Nice location in more laid-back area of the island, great place to start your trips wherever on Maui.
We enjoyed this place a lot and would be happy to come again.

In the perfect location, with easy drives to everything Maui has to offer, this one bedroom condo just steps from a beautiful sandy beach is the perfect getaway. Beautiful balcony overlooks the ocean and the pool is a nice place to lay out and view the ocean. Highly recommend!!
View was amazing. Property was clean but things to know. Needs to spray for bugs, enough said. Be prepared to stop at Walmart as bathroom supplies are minimal. Shower may or may not have a birds nest growing in window. Being kinda picky but this property could be top shelf with a little work. It is definitely a rental with rental type amenities. Area is good for a lot of shopping and dining. Very convenient to airport. Wish there was a 4.5 but didn’t feel like it completely justified a five star. A nice place to stay.
John's place is amazing and 100% accurate to the description, pictures, and reviews. We were in heaven sitting on the balcony listening to the calming ocean waves, drinking coffee, and watching people mill about the beach. Location is absolutely fantastic and central to many things on West Maui. I will stay here again next time we are able to make it here.
My husband and I stayed at Sugar Beach 240 Condo on the ocean and it was lovely! The communication with the host was easy, the vibes were good (friendly), and we could see whales from the patio! Thanks for the beautiful few days of relaxation.
There isn’t enough space! For the premium cost: apt. Poorly stocked (Kleenex, TP coffee eg.) , ice machine not working, room not ANYTHING like pictures. !! POOR communication as far as checking in, no door code provided, prop. Mgr. useless!! Etc. etc.

Love being right on the water and hearing the waves lightly crashing. We sat on our balcony & saw some Whales breaching. It was awesome. There is a cute little bar over by the office. Everyone is so friendly!
