If you have ever stayed at Sugar Beach you know all the units are the same. Just a small one bedroom with balcony. The difference is how the owner has maintained their unit. This place had a soft uncomfortable bed. There was no ceiling fan to help move the air in the bedroom. The beach chairs were small and chinsy. The washing machine was so loud. We only used it when we left and only did very small loads. The place was clean and the couch and chair were comfortable. Loved the views!
The unit has fantastic views of the ocean. But unfortunately it is very dated and old. The furniture, the bathrooms, the stove, the carpet everything was very old.
AC, Washer/Dryer works well.
The Sugar beach resort itself was nice with a good pool and amazing beachfront and quick access near everything in Kihei.
There was a note in the welcome handbook that said that they have had recent breakins and they recommend keeping the patio doors closed.
If you're looking for something right on the beach, this is it. Great view from the lanai. The beaches are clean and not crowded like further South on Kihei Road. It's also a great area for paddleboarding and swimming as the breaks are close to shore leaving lots of calm water not too far from the beach.
The place was clean, spacious and lots of conveniences for beach activities.
The location was perfect, quiet and comfy!! Will definitely stay again.
Hot shower after a long day at the beach.
The ocean views from the balcony are just amazing, and Sugar Beach was enjoyable to walk. Saw whale spouts and beautiful sunsets most days right from the condo. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Pool is good sized and wasn't busy, though the hot tub was often busy.
