Our overall stay at this property was fantastic. Beautiful panoramic water and mountain views! The check-in staff was helpful, the excursion booking staff was lovely. We ordered several Amazon packages during our stay and they were extremely organized and easy to retrieve. Our trip was great up until it wasn't (check-out time.) We get a very abrupt and unfriendly knock at our door promptly at 9:59 AM. We were greeted by a rude and unhappy man (I believe named Marco) who identified as part of the management staff. We kindly asked for 10 more minutes just to gather our things and were belligerently told "It's time to go, you need to get out now". This was after we had already spent close to 3 hours cleaning the condo, washing the bedding, towels, etc. to help turn it over for the incoming renters. I asked this person and the cleaning lady if they'd like me to show them what was and wasn't clean to save them time. We were basically told to shut up and get out as soon as possible. We started removing our belongings including 2 trash bags we filled from cleaning and started walking towards the trash chute when this person GRABBED the trash bags out of my hands and said "Nope we'll do it just get out". We had quite a bit of beverages and food leftover and so we left the incoming guests a bottle of champagne along with a cool pair of sunglasses on the counter. The manager grabbed the sunglasses and threw them on the floor in front of our faces and kept the champagne. We were planning on having our friend (who is a Maui native) pick up the remaining leftover food and drinks in the fridge and freezer to bring to those in need however they could not spare 2 minutes to allow us to do so. We have stayed at countless high end resorts and were only here for a wedding. Out of hundreds of stays, we can honestly say we have NEVER encountered such a terrible and scary check-out process. It really put a damper on the last day of our trip here. There were several other things that he said but I do not feel the need to list them all. This was our first time to Maui and we absolutely fell in love. Would definitely stay again if Marco was gone. This guy/their management team needs a SERIOUS tune up.
Great stay with a beautiful view! The accessibility of the beach allowed for long walks and great swimming. The condo/property was conveniently located to shops and restaurants, and a quick drive to other beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation!
This was a spectacular condo. Fully stocked with everything you need! Meticulously clean when we arrived. The pictures accurately displayed what you were getting. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. Very centrally located would love to stay here again.
David's condo is clean, well equipped, nicely furnished and has a great view of the ocean. The location is ideal in that it is very centrally located, making travel to all parts of the island as convenient as possible. Would definitely stay there again!
We stayed at the condo for 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay. The condo is as shown in the photos (in other words the photos truly reflect how the condo appears). Everything was in great condition, kitchen fully stocked, had 2 beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board and one set of snorkel gear. The view from the living room couch to the ocean was amazing! The resort was nice as well. Landscaping was nice, pool and jacuzzi area well kept. Each Friday morning, the on-site travel agent has a very nice talk about all of the things to do and see on the island...you must attend! And it's definitely not a "buy a tour from me" session. The ladies are very knowledgeable about everything and residents there share their ideas and tips as well. We did buy a few tours from them but they were very price competitive. Would recommend them. The section of the island that the condo is located in can be a bit windy. The winds just come down between the 2 mountains and run right through the resort. But don't let that stop you from staying here because most of the time you are out and about going to all of the different beaches! Just know that it can be windy there but on some other part of the island its not windy.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach. This unit was clean and updated. We would definitely stay there again. The resort itself was very well looked after. BBQs, pool and grounds were cleaned thoroughly every morning.
We enjoyed our stay very much at the Sugar Beach Resort. Lovely resort, lovely pool, wonderful sunsets, unlimited beach walks. Downside is that we were on the street side of the building so there was street noise (only because I had the windows open). Also check in was a challenge - we were after hours which is when most of the flights come in. They had left us check in information in a lock box but the map was difficult to understand. We couldn't reach anyone on the phone and finally had to ask another tenant how to find our unit. This was very difficult in the dark. But overall it was a beautiful place , good location, comfortable beds, nicely furnished etc etc
