We had a really great time at this property! The space was large, the view was beautiful, and there was easy access to the parking lot and pool. We had a rental car, but without one it is likely a BIT too far from the actual town to stay if you were planning on mainly walking anywhere. There were a few hiccups (1) since there is no AC we had to have all of the windows open, while this actually kept the place relatively cool and was not a problem we realized VERY quickly that, even when talking at a normal volume, people could hear every word we said from the parking lot; (2) on the same vein, since both bedrooms faced the parking lot, we could hear everything in the parking lot which could be disruptive for light sleepers (there was construction going on during our stay that was quite loud); (3) this may be an isolated incident, but the morning of check out the water was turned off, which was obviously not ideal. Overall, the place was pretty much exactly as expected and made a great home for 8 days! I could definitely see us returning!
Property was right on the coast with beautiful vistas. Pretty garden area in the middle of the complex. Away from downtown traffic.
Now the downside: Floor plans throughout much of the property were poorly designed. The bedrooms faced the parking lot. All night was noise of cars coming and going, doors slamming, chirping door locks, and people loitering talking like it was 12 noon, not 12 midnight. Thin walls. Not used to apartment living.
The property was not cramped at all. It is easy to get to from down town and just far enough away so its not noisy. Parking is easy also. We had one issue and it was handled very quickly. They communicate well. I would stay here again.
We LOVED the rental! I honestly had no idea we would be SO close to the water. I could easily throw a rock from the lanai into the ocean. Here's my two minor cons with the place (both of which simply should have already been corrected): 1- the washing machine was on its last leg and was louder than a diesel truck while on spin cycles. This is not an exaggeration. We had to yell to talk while it ran and could only run it outside of quite hours. 2- One of the beautiful plants just off the lanai obstructs 75% of your beautiful ocean view. Meanwhile, you can look right over onto the neighbors lanai. It should be moved, trimmed, or removed.
In-laws always stay at this property. Great location - near Kona. Great pool for kids.
Nice clean complex with a nice pool, BBQ’s. Easy parking. Great location, near restaurants and stores. Nice view to the setting sun each night.
This place was horrible 😡😡 we got to the place after 4 pm, no A/C and even windows weren’t open snd no fan on. It took so many hours before we could even breathe in the place. Place is old and insects are running around. A lot of stuff were just so old and rusted and they made sure they don’t even leave extra trash bags more than what you needed to use. You have to leave the windows open so every sound including the sound from people walking up and down the stairs wake you up. There is no maintenance during the night so if something goes wrong good luck 😡
We had the place for 4 nights and honestly we hardly had any comfortable sleep 😢😢😢😥
If you contact property management they just come up with some excuses and leave you hanging 😡😡
I seriously recommend to not work with kona vacation rental and do not use this property for your vacation
We loved the location of this unit, overlooking the pool and the gorgeous sunsets. Although the pool was well-used by many guests, they were always respectful and it was never too loud. A perfect distance to town.
A great alternative to a hotel. Everything you need for a comfy stay. Only thing I'd change is making A/C available.
Really close to Kailua Kona action, but just enough removed. Great watching (and hearing) roaring waves from the lanai or lounging by the pool. We ate some simple meals at home and enjoyed watching sunsets at the local beachfront eateries. Good home base for exploring the big island. Would return to this unit.
Nice property. Clean and friendly. A little noisy being on the first floor and at the corner of the path to the pool and bbq area, but overall we were happy with our stay at the condo.
Loved our view from our Lanai. Nicely done place to stay. Pool & hot tub were very nice too.
