Beautiful location and house. The view was incredible. Lots of extras, such as bikes, snorkels, beach chairs, beach bags and towels. The house had a fully stocked kitchen and gas grill. The beds were very comfortable. The furniture was comfortable and sturdy. Pool and hot tub.
Amazing! We brought a family of 8 and it was perfectly sized and had everything we needed. We even saw 4th of July fireworks from the back deck!
This was the perfect place for our family. Early morning tidepooling. Turtles. Eels. snorkeling access 3 houses north and 6 houses south. 7 mile round trip walk along shore to Mauna Lani south hole 15 iconic par 3 over the ocean photo opportunity.
This house was fabulous. The location is perfect. It is an older home, and in pretty good shape. The doors and windows are unique, and we loved them, they let through all the fresh ocean air to cool off the house. Brooke is a great hostess and very communicative and flexible. I gave 4 stars on the cleanliness only because there were lots of bugs, but with as open as the house is, I doubt it could be any better than it was. You and your family will love staying here! Very peaceful.
Amazing location and the hosts always answered any questions promptly, as well as gave outing suggestions for our stay.
We have just finished 10 days of family reunion This property allowed us (9 months to 72 year)to be together but separate when needed. The kitchen was very large and could cope with many cooks and all the equipment needed was in well labelled cupboards. There was also an expansive collection of non perishables..please check the panty before doing a grocery trip.Daily we played bingo …whales , turtles , dolphins, snorkeling or perhaps just exploring the rock poolsThe position was hypnotic with the reef and ocean in front. Our first night found us all sleepless as we listened to the waves but after that it became a very calming influence. We ended up not being as touristy as planned as it was just relaxing to stay put.No need to purchase reef shoes , snorkels etc as all is there, as per listing, and in good condition. This property is aptly named
Great house in a fabulous location If you like to snorkel this place is for you ! House was decorated with wonderful art and lovely furniture - Very clean home - The pool worked well for our family who like to swim laps .There are three great bedrooms and two small ones which would work well for young children but they are very small .A very peaceful setting and we would love to come again
We were a multi-generational group and this house was perfect for us; the small twin bedrooms are a little funky, but great for kids. The house is equipped with everything you need to enjoy Puako and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-appointed kitchen, outdoor dining, tide pools, lap pool, and snorkeling, and great common areas for family time. Brooke was very communicative and responsive - getting a handyman onsite the next day when we had a (small) issue. Would stay here again! Thank you!
Absolutely stunning!
Our stay at this oceanfront house was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the crystal-clear ocean right from the lenai. The house itself is beautifully designed—spacious, clean, and equipped with every amenity you could possibly need. The open-concept living area flows seamlessly to the outdoor space, creating several cozy places to watch the amazing sunsets, enjoy the gentle sea breezes, and listen to the sounds of the ocean waves.
The location is perfect for a tranquil getaway, yet still close enough to explore the local shops and restaurants. We used it as a home-base to explore the incredible beauty of the island. We were delighted to find historical sites nearby to visit, natural parks to explore and several beaches that were perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun.
Brooke, the host, was incredibly accommodating and provided thoughtful touches throughout the property, making us feel right at home. If we had any questions, she was easy to contact and quick to respond. If you’re looking for a luxurious, serene escape with unparalleled ocean views, and a relaxing, homey feel, this is the place to be.
We’re already planning our next visit!
Highly recommend! 🌴🌊✨
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The outdoor space is truly spectacular with a large lawn, lap pool, and access to the ocean. Our multigenerational family all enjoyed watching the three turtles that live in front of the house and my husband and I loved the amazing snorkeling (just keep going out until you see the underwater caves). It was a good base for visiting the great nearby beaches. The house is well stocked and we honestly enjoyed eating at the house versus venturing out for dinner (although we did that too). Our favorite beaches were Beach 69 and the Mana Lani Beach.
If you think the pictures of this property and beach are amazing; wait until you see it in person!! Absolutely stunning!! The amenities were the best we have ever had in a rental! From the kitchen supplies, bathroom amenities to everything g you need to go to the beach or snorkeling. We were sad to leave!! Brooke and Scott are the best hostesses. Very easy to contact and helped with all of our families needs!! 10 out of 10!!
I needed to find a place for my workers to stay while they were working on a project in Hawaii. Which is why I am so thankful I came across this property because it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Not only was it spacious enough for the entire crew to stay but it was minutes away from the job-site. It was also very clean and had tidy. The owners are also very nice. Keeping communication with them was never an issue. Lastly according to the guys the best part about the property was how close it was to the ocean. I think they took a swim every day after work. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend this property if you're traveling with a larger group of people. You won't regret it.
Everything was perfect. The host was so helpful, responsive and kind. Thank you for the perfect house to spend our vacation in.
We enjoyed the ocean breeze and well equipped kitchen
Puako is a special place. Perfect home for a 3 generation family visit.
Puoko Beach was the perfect location for our family of 8 -- 5 adults and 3 kids. The house had ample room for indoor/outdoor living. We wpoke up with the sun, walked down to the water, and watching the tide come in. We saw people snorkeling and even scuba diving in these waters, but we chose to only wade in the tide pools because of rough waters. It was still amazing -- turtles came in the afternoon further down the beach. In the evening, we watched the sun from the lanai as it lit up the sky.
The kids enjoyed the pool, which was chilly in December as expected, but the adults took full advantage of the hot tub.
The rooms upstairs picked up nice breezes so that a/c wasn't missed. The house is built to harness those winds. As a big city resident, I enjoyed listening to the sounds of the ocean at bedtime rather than sirens and car alarms.
The garage featured a broad variety of beach gear - boogie boards, snorkel masks and breathing tubes, coolers, chairs, sand toys and a beach umbrella. These were perfect for Beach 67 located nearby. Even during the peak Christmas rush, the beach was never particularly crowded.
Being 30+ minutes from Kona is a feature of this house as it avoids some of the crushing crowds. However, we arranged two tours that launched immediately down the street.LightSUP paddleboarding at night was amazing and the Adventure X boat tour for snorkeling and whale watching was great. We were able to walk to both of them.
We can't wait to return!
