Check in process was extremely easy, room was very cute and clean. Quiet neighborhood with the exception of the frogs at night haha. Great area and was close to everything. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I will say that I did not notice the bathroom is kind of open air, so just a heads up for others that may not be fully comfortable with that.

I loved how this unit was part of a home but we never saw anyone else while we were there. Communication was clear and available before and during our stay. They were so accommodating and it was the perfect location, close to town but still felt apart from the hustle and bustle. It was nicely appointed and above all else, easy.
We had a lovely stay at this wonderful place. Conveniently located within a few minutes of downtown Hilo, yet evenings are very peaceful! We highly recommended staying here.

The was the 2nd stay here in under 2 years, and it’s a super spot. Peaceful, and you are at one with nature. We will absolutely be back next time we’re on the Hilo side.
Great location in a nice quiet neighborhood. Great host, very accommodating to all our requests. Minutes from shops and restaurants. Place was clean and as described. If we are ever in Hilo again we will definitely stay here.

Awesome place, located in a great area.
Good clean room, great view, excellent location. All the things you need for a short stay. Host was helpful and informational. We had a great time and would highly recommend to others.
Quiet tucked away place pretty central to Hilo. Easy to go north or south for adventures. Tanner was very quick to get us a bottle opener and glasses and then extra coffee for the morning. Only noise came from the frogs 🐸
Having stayed at this property in the past, we went out of our way to vacation in Hilo in order to take a much needed break from the hustle of tourism in Hawaii!!
The hosts are incredibly friendly and very accommodating of our special requests. Reed's Island is an oasis within the bayfront area of Hilo. Highly recommend this rental!

We loved our stay at Reeds island. It was drizzly during our stay so the covered parking was incredible. The space was extremely clean and welcoming. The bed is so comfortable. Hearing the soothing coquis the first night brought me so much nostalgia from when we lived on island. The hosts are super sweet and accommodating. We would stay again!
Very clean. Very nice grounds and interior. Didn’t meet owner but she immediately and always replied to our inquiries. We had a few questions as first time users of VRBO. But be aware property is located almost at end of narrow lane. Would stay there again.
After booking our host remained in regular contact. She couldn’t have been helpful/informative. This continued after our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. It made our stay in Hilo quite exceptional Thank
My wife and I both really enjoyed our stay here. The room was both private and convenient in a beautiful neighborhood. Hannah( the host) met us at check in and was friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
Hannah and Tanner have a great place down a deadend, 1 lane road, in a beautiful and intimate neighborhood. The room is great, wood floors, cathedral ceiling, tiled bathroom, a/c, TV, etc. They are less than a mile from downtown Hilo. Don't be shy on asking them for advice on what's happening in the area - great communicators. Awesome place to call your base on the Hilo side.
This place is amazing!!! It is exactly like the pictures and the description on the website. The host was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Hawaii. Our only complaint is we didn’t get to stay longer this trip.
Quiet, end of the road stay, only minutes from downtown Hilo, within earshot of waterfalls. Clean room, nice shower, excellent hosts…we will stay again when in town.

I stayed here for two nights while we explored Hilo and it was perfect for our use. Communication was prompt and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. Location is is in a cool neighborhood close to a couple waterfalls and downtown Hilo
Wow!! What a treat to stay here. It’s only a short drive from town, but you feel like you’re in a tropical rainforest! We slept with our windows open at night to hear the birds, frogs, and even the river! The room is gorgeous!! Highly recommend this place!!! My husband is hard to impress … and he kept saying how much he liked it.
I stay in Hilo about 6 times a year for work and this is my new go-to rental. Location is excellent, safe and cozy. Beautiful surroundings and view. Most stays I've had in Hilo included these little tiny termite looking things and there were none to be found here. The sounds of the tropics at night were a dream for good sleep. Comfortable bed. Sink being outside of the shower room took a little getting use to but was fine. Host was very sweet! Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!
