Good rooms and bathroom space. Close to everything. Communication was good. Was great!
Our construction crew of 3 men stayed here. Owner was easy to communicate with and responsive. The unit was clean and very well maintained. No air conditioning (which is pretty common there) and the summer heat was more than expected. We ended up buying a portable AC and will be bringing it back with us.

other than the traffic noise it was very private. perfect for family gettogether. Kathy was wonderful to keep in touch to make sure everything was perfect.
This is a great place to spend a week with friends and family. Even better value if you have kids. Kathy is a wonderful host and that makes the stay even more pleasurable. Don’t bring anything with you if you are staying here. Pretty much everything you can reasonably want or need is on property.

We enjoyed our stay in beautiful Kaanapali. The location is great because we were less then a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach and beautiful resort. We were only a five minute drive away from Dukes where we enjoyed delicious breakfast a few times right by the beach. The house accommodated 7 of us comfortably. Katherine the owner was very sweet and attentive to our needs. The location was perfect not far from nice restaurants and shopping as well.

The home had all the necessities you may need for your stay and some extras like beach chairs and toys. Kathy was a great host, very accessible if I had any questions. It fit six adults and a couple kids very comfortably. We loved having the pool for the kids as the beach nearby was a little intense for the littles (<3yrs). It’s a nice walk along the beach boardwalk (stroller accessible) to shopping and stores or a quick drive. The only thing I would have changed is the traffic noise, the home is situated on the edge of the property and you hear the highway at all hours. Some people mention the lack of AC being an issue in their reviews but we found the fans and breeze through the windows quite sufficient plus we left Canada to be warm!
Overall a great stay in Maui!
We really loved the bungalow in Kaanapali. There were 7 of us and there was ample room for everyone. The back yard was a great place to have morning coffee and sunset cocktails after a day of sun and fun. The kitchen layout let 3 of us work together when we wanted to cook meals at home. The main bathroom was a little small, and the appliances could use an update, but everything was functional. We didn't have the chance to meet the owner, Kathy, due to scheduling, but we spoke several times and she was always responsive. Overall, we will definitely come back to Pono Cottage if we are lucky enough to make this trip again.
