We spent two weeks at Polynesian Shores, in our opinion the most wonderful property on Maui. The staff is great, they are all very friendly and helpful. The same is true for permanent residents of Polynesian Shores; we could truly feel the Aloha Spirit. The condo we were in was clean and included all we needed and the Property itself is very well maintained.

Amazing ! The second you pull into the parking area , you know that your back home . I can't say enough great things about this gem.Everyone from Brie, Tanya , Eric are the BEST !!! Neighbors like Jimmy and Angie helped me out from a minor mishap. They are forever Ohana :)))
Ideal location and unit, everything g worked well, lanai was great, sheets clean, bed comfy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for 9 days in condo 123. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our condo was clean and well stocked with towels, bathroom toiletries items. The kitchen also was well stocked. We also loved having available to us all the stuff to use at the beach. We meet your housekeeping supervisor when she came to bring our beach towels. She was very sweet and asked us if there was anything else that we needed. Your grounds, pool area and barbecues are manicured every day. The gentleman that facilitates this is very pleasant and always greeted us whenever he saw us. We look forward to return soon. There are a few thinks that we would like to bring to your attention. Two miner things. One is the slider screen patio door. It is very hard to open and close. It won’t stay in its bottom track. The condo has two ceiling fans. Both only run on one speed slow. If they had variable speeds we wouldn’t need to use the standing fans all the time. I know everyone is trying to keep cost down and we appreciate all that you do. One think that is a definite hazard is the electric plug in the bathroom. Because of the style of sink faucet it is very difficult to plug in anything electric plus it is not on a GFI circuit breaker. This could cause Electrocution to someone.
Small nice little condo, mirrors everywhere can be a little confusing on the pictures and make it seem bigger then it is. Location is really nice especially via bus. Pool was always clean and not crowded. Kitchen and bathroom were kinda clean but fridge wasn’t emptied out(open chocolates, opened jam) behind toaster/ inside oven still dirty. Doing laundry is crazy expensive. Provided phone number was really helpful when we locked ourselves out of the safe.

So glad our other VRBO rental cancelled and we found this one instead. Wow! Fantastic location, close to all West side beaches. The condo was clean, decorated in fun beach theme and felt like home. No a/c, but 2 standing fans, ceiling fan and windows opened kept the condo comfortable. Sitting on the patio you have a close up view of the ocean. They light tiki torches each night and it feels like a family with everyone out watching the sunset each night on the grass. Loved the pool when we needed a quick dip to cool off. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, including a blender for our morning smoothies. Laundry room was very useful, remember to bring quarters. If you are able, walk down the rocks to the left and keep going til you reach the ladder going into the water. Lots of turtles! Check in and check out was easy. We will be back!!
I had a wonderful experience. The check in process was very easy. The property manager sent a detailed email before check providing information all about the check in process and details about the property. Everyday we watched a gorgeous sunset from our patio. They have grills on the property, so we grilled most nights. The other residents are very friendly. The property is very clean on the inside and outside. I feel like the unit was tastefully decorated like a Hawaiian home. Also, the unit had snorkel gear including a variety of fins. And the unit has lots of beach chairs, coolers, and ice packs for a day at the beach. We plan to stay here when we return.

Stayed here for 3 nights in April 2022, during height of school holidays. The unit is easy to find, right off the main highway and touchless entry is nice. I would say the decor does embody “Old Hawaii” and looks like the photos, but also the furnishings are a bit dated and things are pretty worn. A little refresh would really brighten the place up and make it more pleasant. Kitchen is stocked with useful items, good knives, plastic storage containers, etc. There was a water pitcher in the fridge but it definitely needed a new filter. Spider webs were all over the curtains of the doors leading to outdoor space- but I did find a giant spider on the door. Some things were dusty if you look closely, but overall the condo was clean. When I went, no A/C was not an issue because there is a nice cross-breeze from the back doors to the bedroom and ceiling fans. Outdoor space overlooking the ocean is really beautiful and each night people gathered outside to catch the sunset. It is very accommodating to families who stay longer and make meals on property—there are a few grills that people took turns using and some picnic tables. The pool area is okay. The biggest complaint I would have is that the floors and walls are thin. The family in the unit upstairs -no joke- would start making so much noise (sound of moving furniture across the floor) as soon as quiet hours were over, up until the end of the day. I’m not sure why or how, but it was quite annoying. Also, I heard some intense bed squeaking. Go figure. It is a nice place to stay in, for proximity to sites on West Maui; it’s about 15min to Lahaina attractions, and easy to keep going north for more beaches to explore. With traffic, it was 50min-1hr to Kihei/airport. I would probably stay in Polynesian Shores again as pros outweigh the cons, and I can overlook some things and was out most of the day anyway. Would recommend.
Great little place. Clean comfortable and beautiful, tranquil property. Walk out to the pool or the oceanside from the patio. Bed was comfy and the place had all needed things for cooking and eating including a blender to make the Pina coladas. BBQs out front to BBQ while you watch the sunset and a great pool. There is no beach out front but beach chairs and towels and umbrellas were provided (umbrellas had pretty much had it tho) we took Uber up to Napili for the beach. I recommend this place if your looking to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Maui w/o crowds.
