What a beautiful house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for our needs. We have stayed several times in the area but this was our favorite. Clean, very easy access to beach. Owner communicates right away and cares about your stay being perfect. Had dinner on the lanai every night which was awesome. Beds are comfortable and each bedroom has its own ac unit which is nice. There’s plenty of toys for the beach in the garage. Dishes and utensils are plentiful and don’t seem to be the typical second hand stuff you find in most rentals.
Walking to the beach was convenient. House fully equipped.

We had an amazing week staying at Karen and Brent’s property! In addition to being beautiful and spotless, it was possibly the most well stocked rental I have ever seen. We chose to cook many meals, and every single tool I might have wanted was available. Perfect location near Poipu and Shipwreck beaches. Highly recommend - 10/10!
This place is fantastic. We stayed here for a month and loved every minute. The location of the home is perfect; central to other places to visit on the island, close to great restaurants, and a 2 minute walk to one of the best beaches on the island. Stand out items of the home are the large and comfortable lanai, the quality of the furnishings and cookware, the layout of the home, and the decor. The owner was very responsive and great to work with. We would go back to this rental in a heartbeat, no question about it.
Everything about this house is amazing - comfortable, clean - the lanai & indoor / outdoor living was my very favorite, beds were luxurious, well appointed kitchen, all the beach accessories, 2 minute walk to great beaches, 5-20 minute drive to all the food you could want. Couldn’t ask for anything else in a vacation home away from home!
We loved the house and that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Great location-we walked to the beach at the end of the street every day and our 13 year old girls had fun boogie boarding and swimming there and seeing the turtles Poipu beach. The wagons in the garage made it easy to transport our beach chairs and boogie boards.We also loved the Poipu Athletic club that we had access to with the house. We expected a pool to be located closer to the house based on the pictures but ended up enjoying going to the beach club for pool time and food and cocktails at the Cabana. Overall it was a wonderful experience and very comfortable house with everything you could want.
I cannot give this home enough stars. It is amazing! Very short walk to the beach. All the amenities you need. So comfy. We absolutely loved our stay, did not want to leave.
This home is truly AMAZING! The owners have thought of everything and the location is perfect! Having the wagons, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and boogie boards available was a great bonus. Our family highly recommends this home and is looking forward to future vacations!
Superior property, well equipped, everything worked, and the location was fantastic. Five us of in this house, four at the Marriott. Easy walk to Brennecke’s beach and Poipu Beach. Loved having the wagons, beach chairs, and boogie boards from the garage. We didn’t use the umbrellas due to the high winds. Loved the wall of windows that opened up. Appreciated the back up propane tank for the bbq as we needed it, also appreciated the super quick response from Brent when we needed to swap the gas tanks for hot water. If we return to Kauai this is now our #1.
This is a great house, very clean, well laid out and appointed. Just about a hundred steps to the beach. Beautiful lanai and comfortable beds. The best vacation house we have stayed in anywhere. It is one of the only VRBO properties that far exceeded expectations. 10/10. The listing pictures don’t do it justice, the owners are responsive, and put a lot of thought into their guest’s comfort In the house and by providing amenities like the athletic club access, the beach chairs, and bikes.in the garage. Thoroughly recommend.
Just as advertised and perfect for a family get together. Clean and comfortable and very convenient - just steps sot the local beach for fun activities.
Hard to believe that the in person experience exceeded our expectations. This house is gorgeous and the location couldn't have been more ideal. Short half block walk to Brennecke's beach but yet quiet and peaceful enclave when resting on beautiful porch. Owner was super responsive on a question we had and really cares about his property and the guest experience. We loved that the primary bedroom/bath was upstairs which gave us a retreat from our teens. Many amenities, boogie boards, chairs, bikes, beach wagon and cooler made our beach experience so much easier. We are quite particular and we would highly recommend anyone to stay here!
This home and location in Koloa could not have been better! The owners thought of everything and the kitchen was well equipt. We especially enjoyed the lanai and common areas of the home and loved that each bedroom had its own private bathroom, so everybody had the privacy they needed. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful home. We will be back!!
Let me tell you this, I've stayed in many beach rentals throughout my life--to include Maui and Kiawah Island--but this was by far the best. The house is an architectural gem that should be in a magazine. Beautiful throughout with thought put into every detail of the decor. Beautiful bedrooms, kitchen and living room, but the outdoor lanai is where we spent most of our time. The gardens and partial view of the ocean from the lanai were just gorgeous.
As for amenities, the house had everything--a high chair for the grandkid, boogie boards, two wagons, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, towels, games, stocked pantry with spices and such, and a great guide to the area written by Brent the owner.
As for the area, it was fantastic. We hit Brennecke beach just down the path to boogie board the wave. The grandkid loved the shallow baby beach and protected lagoon, and Poipu Beach was just beautiful with the numerous turtles and seals sunning themselves on the sand next to us tourists. The house was also close to Port Allen for sailing excursions to the Napili Coast (a MUST) and hiking in Waimea Canyon. There are also great restaurants nearby and shopping as well.
Finally, Brent was a great host and stopped by to give me some history of the house and see if there was anything we needed, even asking for suggestions on what he could add. Can't help on the latter--maybe a plastic cup to take to the beach, LOL. That's it.
You can't go wrong with this house. It's a gem.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were so very fortunate to stay 4 weeks - and the house quickly felt like home to us.
The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The large open Lanai was great. We enjoyed so many amazing sunsets from the upper level porch. It was wonderful to be able to walk to so many places. The Green Belt to Shipwreck beach to Mahaulepu was a regular morning walk with amazing views and whale sightings! We miss Kauai already. We easily recommend this beautiful home.

What a beautiful and comfortable house with such detail. We felt like we living in a magazine with doors that open to the lanai, an ocean view and small walk to the beach.

Poipu Beach club was a short running distance (5min drive); perfect place for a workout or swimming at a pool.
We could have asked for a better experience in Poipu.
I’ve stayed in countless vacation rentals, and this house blew them all away. It was immaculate, and every single tiny detail was well considered, from the beautiful door knocker to the ample and luxurious towels. As an architect, I could tell that the owners thought of everything (the paint color, the window shades, the fans), even little things like centering the air conditioner on the mirror above the dresser - so much love in every corner. And, of course, I cannot rave enough about the location. It was literally a 3-minute walk to the best beach in all of Kauai. Poipu beach, where the turtles sunbathe daily, the kids play in the shallow protected end right under the lifeguard stand and the rest of us get to snorkel in an aquarium full of delights. We saw fish we had never seen before, and we even spotted a few eels. I seriously felt like I was in Moana. Also, the house is full of art by the owner, which in my opinion was gorgeous! Thank you so much, Karen and Brent. Our stay in your home was as close to perfection as it gets. Lifelong memories made!
