I’ve been to Kauai many times and stayed in various upscale hotels. As I planned to come back with my mom, I knew there would be other factors to consider with her limited mobility. This property had access to the pool a few steps from our door. The elevator access was ideal in this building (A) and the ramps were spacious and always clean. The unit was spacious and the showers allowed for a ‘walk in’ with a small step. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable and parking was always available.

We enjoyed our stay here and everything was clean and well equipped. This unit is not as updated as others that we saw in the same building and there are no tvs in the bedrooms but it wasn’t a big deal because we were rarely there. The turtles in the cove were a highlight for us, as were the dolphins and whales! Very easy walk to the beaches and the pool was warm enough to enjoy in November!

The location of this property on the south shore of Kauai was perfect for our needs. The condo was very clean when we arrived. It had good view of the ocean from the living room, bedroom and the lanai, and was within walking distance to town and beaches. (The hedges in front of the lanai could be trimmed to sitting eye-level for a better view f the ocean.) The condo was very close to the pool which made it convenient to use. The condo was well equipped. It had all one needed in the kitchen; the two bathrooms had walk-in showers; very comfortable bed in the master-bedroom (we didn't use the second bedroom); and a fairly comfortable couch in the living room. All-in-all, we had a great stay!

Poipu shores 101A was as advertised, but better! We loved the location of the condo in the complex and in the town. It was clean, homey, and well equipped/appointed. We would definitely stay here again!

To start with, the location of this property is ideal, sandwiched between multiple beaches in walking or very short driving distance. The checkin process was very easy and the young lady at the office was very pleasant and friendly.

The unit might take a second to locate, but we absolutely loved the view and having the pool practically in our back yard. We saw lots of turtles, the moonrise was gorgeous, and the waves crashing on the rocks are spectacular. The only thing I would caution is that there is no privacy tinting on the master bedroom windows, so everyone can see you as clearly as you can see them. Careful! The unit had absolutely everything we needed, boogie boards and fins were greatly appreciated. The kitchen had basic spices and oil. The beds were very comfortable.

We made several stops at the farmer’s fruit stand just outside the neighborhood. Quick drive to Old town Koloa, which we loved, and into Poipu. Our best meal by far was at Rumfire in the Sheraton. High dollar, but food, service and ambiance were all top notch. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

This was a beautiful, nicely updated property right next to the ocean and steps from the pool. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed seeing sea turtles just over the wall from the pool area. Good proximity to restaurants. A/C worked well. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a central location on the south side.

This place is amazing and I would come back here in a heartbeat! Walk right outside to see the waves crash on the rocks and incredible sunrise and sunset! Perfect access on first floor right next to the pool too!

We would 100% recommend this apartment for a stay in Kaua’i. Location was perfect and close to a lot of beaches and restaurants. You cannot beat the sound of the ocean…it never gets old! The condo itself was the best equipped I have ever seen: anything you would need in the kitchen is available. While we didn’t cook there, we could if we wanted to. Everything you need for the beach is available including coolers (with already frozen ice packs), chairs, etc. plenty of supplies available. We highly recommend Poipu shores!!! Would definitely come back.

Poipu Shores is an amazing place to stay! We slept with the window open every night to hear the ocean waves crash on the rocks. The stars were another added bonus as you can lay in bed and see them! We walked every morning to see the sunrise toward the Grand Hyatt and every evening we walked to Poipu Beach to see sunset and the sea turtles lying on the beach. The sunset at the condo is amazing but the beach had the sea turtles! The pool is nice and clean and you can see turtles swimming below sometimes.

It is awesome to have the crashing ocean waves out your back door and enjoy the serene setting while eating out on the lanai. We spotted many whales and turtles from the property. The most popular beaches on Poipu are less than a 10 minute walk just out the back door and along a beachfront trail. The beach towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and boogie board were a nice touch.
