It's a lovely thing when the property is even better in person than it appears on the listing. This was the perfect house for us and we loved our stay.
Check in was a breeze with no hassles. This location is very peaceful yet the short walk to beach is convenient. The outdoor space around the pool gives one sun and shade.By far, this was the most adequately stocked kitchen and out door grill , compared to other vacation homes for my large family. Grocery stores are just no more than a few miles away or just drive into Lihue for a Safeway.Turtles abundant, snorkeling fun because we were able to spearfish and bring home our dinner!Highly recommend this home and location for your vacation

I was able to take my family and parents to the beach! We loved that we all had a great place for each of us to sleep and a play in the pool and grill. Easy to walk to the beach. We loved it!!
We absolutely loved everything about this house. It was so close to the beach, private pool, outdoor cooking. It was perfect for our family/ wedding vacation. We can not wait to come back!

It was perfect. My husband & I wanted to take a family vacation to celebrate our upcoming 50th Anniversary.

We spent 9 days in this fabulous home!! Steps from Brennekes beach and a short walk to Poipu. Perfect for the 7 of us. Me, husband, 3 teens, and in-laws. It was so nice that my in-laws had the upstairs primary and we had the entire downstairs with our kids. The pool was an absolute must!! After a long day at the beach we would turn the speaker in in the late afternoon and hang out for an hour or so before dinner. So fun!! This house is a 10/10 would definitely stay here again in the future!!
The perfect place for our week in Kauai. Walkable beaches and a few restaurants. The owners are extremely nice and the pool is great with the swim up bar.
Property was outstanding. All pictures were accurate as well as the description. Location is perfect. We've been traveling to Kauai /Poipu for years and this was the perfect fit for our family of 10 (kids and grandkids). Beautifully decorated, great BBQ area with lots of chaise seating both at the poolside and on the upstairs deck. EVERYTHING we needed for our stay was supplied. You cannot go wrong with this property. Neighbor even brought us mangos and banannas from their trees.
Beautifully appointed home in the perfect location. Walkable to Breneckes and Poipu Beach, plus the private pool was perfect for when we wanted to just hang out at the house. We had 6 adults and 2 kiddos. The 2 primary suites were great. Queen bedroom is a little snug, but the kids loved the bunk room. We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 lanais and were fortunate to have a steady breeze in the evenings, because the a/c units in the bedrooms were not working well. Otherwise, the home had everything we needed for a great multi-generation family vacation.
All of the family was needing a break from the various challenges of daily living. This place really fit the bill. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Kauai with a group of 6 or 7. The accommodations were fantastic and the host were more than accommodating.

It was so close to the beach, we could hear the rhythmic lull of waves from our home. The serene cove offers a picturesque escape.The house was as described in the VRBO. Very clean and had everything that one would want home away from home.
We stayed here for a week, and it was a delight. The house is beautiful and wonderfully stocked, and the setting very tranquil. The pool and stand-alone lanai/kitchen were particularly great--we ate most of our meals outside. The property manager also did an ace job--no problems with check in or communication. It's a very short walk to the beaches, and we especially appreciated that the house came stocked with beach chairs, coolers and a wagon to pull it to the sand. I'd totally recommend staying here.
One thing i would note--the house does have A/C but it didn't really keep pace with the space. Especially given signs directing guests not to turn it below 74 degrees. (It said 73, but the settings went in only two-degree increments.) We didn't mind it that much ourselves but note it for those for whom A/C matters.

The pool and porches were perfect to lounge and the beach chairs and cooler and wagon were helpful. They even had cornhole. Most of all, the location could not have been better. We were expecting a close walk to the beach but the walk to Brenneckes beach was maybe 500 yards. Pictures were exactly what we got. Thanks for a great week!

Having the pool is a great advantage. The surf was extra rough during our stay but the kids were still able to swim in the pool. Lack of spices and condements is a bummer. Wish they were more flexible there. The kitchen has all you woukd desire to cook at home.

This place was so perfect for our family's getaway. Had 6 adults, 3 children 6, 4 and 4 month old. Walkable distant to 2 beaches, one was perfect for kids to swim, snorkel and play on the playground. Also the pool was nice! Kitchen has all you need for cooking your own meals, outdoor kichenette has grill, was perfect for making steak. Small refrigerator for all our drinks. Definitely want to stay here again. Quiet neighborhood, heard music band some evenings close by....which was nice to listen to.

Absolutely prefect for our three family group. Kids Loved the pool and all the activities provided by the homeowner. Kitchen is full stocked with cookwares, beds are all dreamy, I would go back in a heartbeat. We couldn't have found a better place.
We were so pleased with our week at the house with 6 adults and 3 kids (1, 1 & 4)! Beautiful and convenient location, and the property itself was amazing.
There were no reviews when we booked, but we were SO happy with our stay. I like seeing those extra details in reviews before purchase, so while I don't usually leave long reviews, I'll pass along what I wanted to know & a few things we particularly appreciated, especially with little kids:
- It's hard to tell on VRBO maps, but it is a 5-minute walk, if that, to Brennecke's beach (great for bogey boarding!) and another 2 minutes to cross the park to get to Poipu. Poipu has "baby beach" with calm, shallow waters, and there's a little playground at the park! Or just past that there's good snorkeling, or surfing. Any beach activity within 10 min! It was amazing to be able to walk over for an hour or two and then head back to the house, for lunch, naps, etc. The flexibility and convenience alone were worth it.
- You can see and hear the ocean from the patio!
- The table outside easily fit our group of 9 and was great for sharing meals together.
- This pool was one of the few rental properties I saw with a fence available (a must-have for our little ones who can't swim!), and I loved the layout with very comfortable lounge furniture in the shade for those who wanted to hang out but not swim while others were in the pool.
- Furniture was SO comfortable, I was especially impressed with the beds and sheets, which are often not great at rental properties. This might be because they're new, but you can tell they are high quality, too.
- A very kid-friendly property overall, I appreciated even the little details like the outlets having covers!
- They had an abundance of both bath and pool/beach towels.
- Kitchen was very well stocked with appliances. Two different coffee machines - Keurig or drip, tons of pots and pans, dutch ovens, a kettle, a rice cooker, an immersion blender, and more.
- Note: I think for safety there are no spices, oils, or anything left behind from previous renters. There was only salt and pepper, and a gifted bag of coffee (another nice touch!).
- Beach gear: they have 2 large coolers, a big wagon (so helpful!), and a ton of chairs (8?). No toys or other gear, but easy to rent at Poipu.
- Alekona/Jessica was so responsive and easy to work with!

Super clean, excellent location, great communication and reasonable price, the only bad thing is when you have to leave it behind.
Let me start by saying that we own a vacation rental and have rented many private properties around the world. Working with Jessica from Alekona Kauai was hands down the best experience with a host I’ve had. She was very communicative and helpful. Staying here, they make sure you have a special and customized experience.
We were a group of 6 adults, 3 kids, and 2 infants. The house had everything we could possibly need and was very well equipped. Not to mention the private pool, ocean views and location to the beach (Brenneckes Beach perfect for the adults to boogie board, and Poipu beach wonderful for the young kids!)
I booked this property when it was a brand new listing with no reviews - which was a risk - and I’m so glad I did!
We would gladly return to this home but I would also enjoy renting some of their other properties some day.

The house was fabulous and the location was way closer to the beach than expected..great surprise! The pool was so fun and we were so comfy - the beds are very good. Loved our vacation. Aloha and mahalo!
The home was beautiful, even better than the listing shows. All amenities were top class. Property manger excellent to communicate with. Would book again if coming back to Kauai.
