The beach wagon was broken and the outside lawn toys like balls, corn hole boards were in horrible shape. We fixed them with duct tape. Balls were deflated and old. We made the best of it and had a nice family week. The house was excellent, no real complaints. Very accommodating hosts.
Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the big Ohana house, pool & grass lawn. Great location to walk to beach with the kids (ages 2-8). Corey was responsive to all needs & questions. We’d love to return again!
This property was in a perfect location to walk to the beach and to the shopping village. It was great to have the surf boards and beach chairs too. Our favorite thing was sitting on the lanai every morning with a cup of coffee and ocean views!

We loved the Ohana house. It was the perfect size for our group of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids). The house came with everything we needed for the beach which was awesome! There were even two carts to haul our loads. The house was cozy and a short walk away from Poipu Beach. When the kids needed a break from the beach, they loved the pool. My only complaint is that there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms except the studio bedroom has a portable unit. That meant only one master bedroom had A/C. We slept with the windows open and extra fans and it was fine (month of May).
The house was great, convenient location. The yard and pool was fantastic, especially for the kiddos we had. They enjoyed playing in the yard and the pool. The house does not have central ac but the two units kept the living room cool. I would suggest moving one down by the bedrooms to help cool the house. Overall great place and would definitely recommend. Thank you!
This property is very well maintained and right off the beach. We were a group of 10 and EVERYONE was happy, which is saying something! We ranged in age from 32-80 years old. The outdoor shower was a huge hit. It worked great for those in the group with less mobility, as it was a walk in and provided easy access. Very light walk to the beach, restaurant, and Hawaiian Ice! All the beach equipment was a very nice amenity and we used the carts every day. The chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas were in good condition. They even provided us with a couple of coolers for the beach. Corey, the property manager was responsive and helpful, although we didn't run into any issues during the stay. The outside areas were beautiful and well maintained. It was so nice to sit outside in our little yard for coffee and meals. The landscape and pool provided a nice touch as well. The group decided that we would highly recommend this property to anyone!
The Ohana House with Pool by the Beach is awesome! It is secluded from traffic and is a short a
walking distance to the beaches. The house is well maintained and has a great covered lanai and a large fenced in lawn area for kids to play. The pool is great for kids and we loved the outdoor shower. The house was very spacious with a great kitchen, dining and living room area. Corey McLaughlin was great to deal with and was very responsive to any requests or questions we had during our visit. Loved the roosters! So colourful! In summary, our Ohana House stay was an amazing experience and we loved it! Thankyou!
We were looking for a large house for the extended family (8). This place worked out great for our group. The house is super close to the beach - less than a block. You can hear the waves at night and the roosters in the morning. Super easy walk to Poipu Beach and the surrounding area.
What we liked:
4 bedrooms in the main Ohana house and 1 studio with separate entrance and bath. 1 master bedroom with en suite bathroom (double sinks), 3 other bedrooms in the main house (1 queen and the other two had twin bedrooms) with 2 bathrooms off the hall way.
Large spacious kitchen - well equipped. Nice granite counter tops.
Large dining room - 2 tables - in the house.
Portable AC units in the dining/living area.
Access to all the beach stuff you need - chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc.
Main house had private large outdoor grill.
Large covered lanai with dining tables.
Lots of bikes for use.
Convenient location - practically ocean front.
Parking easy and free.
Ceiling fans in each bedroom
Manager Corey was responsive (ice maker wasn't working when we arrived) and friendly.
Nice pool on the grounds - 4 feet max deep I believe. Lots of pool toys.
Cool outdoor shower (though did not use it).
Home was clean and there was a nice fruit basket when we arrived. Also a bag of coffee was provided.
Was able to check in 1 hour early - nice that we could be accommodated after a long day of travel.
Things we noted that are not necessarily "cons" but just comments:
Living room sofas (2 rattan ones with cushions) were not comfortable.
Only 1 TV in the living room
Might want to consider AC Mini Splits as it got hot in the bedrooms during day/night and only the separate studio had a portable AC unit.
All the bathrooms had a tub/shower combo - which is fine but I thought the tubs were a bit tiny and one of the tubs was slippery (though Cory put in something to help with that).
Know that this is a shared property with 3 other "smaller" units. So the grounds and pool are shared. It was not a problem for us. But there are just a few chairs (maybe 5?) so if lots of people want to use it at the same time could be an issue. Also 2 of the other units are pool side - so might have noise issues if lots of people are playing in the pool or are noisy. Was not an issue at the Ohana main house since it is slightly set away from the pool.
Some signs of wear and tear that is expected due to the ocean close location and constant humidity.
Party of 6 for a Girls trip for birthday. Corey was super helpful from the beginning. Property and home are perfect location to beaches and exploring the island. Pool was really nice, clean and well kept. House was clean, plenty of room for 6 ladies.
