This property is wonderful for families. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach that has both a calm bay on one side and the waves on the other. It’s perfect for toddlers and teenagers. The host is very responsive and friendly. The master bedroom and bathroom are large and comfortable. We’d definitely come back.
The location of the property was amazing. There was plenty of beach gear in the garage that made for the perfect beach day. Steve was great with the check-in and checkout process made everything super easy and was quick to respond. The only downside was the TVs didn’t work well as far as connection to the Internet and we kept getting kicked off of the Wi-Fi. Luckily the house is in such an amazing place, We weren’t on our phones/tablets at the house much at all so didn’t really bother us. All in all 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
We had so much fun and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location was pefect and we all got to do all of the things we wanted. The downstairs ac needs attention, but everthing else was excellent! We will using VRBO again.
This location is a dream, and the house is spacious, super comfortable, and has AC! We loved our time here so much. The view of the water never got old, and it was so nice being less than a five minute walk from Brennecke’s Beach, Poipu Beach, Puka Dog, and Brennecke’s Grill. If we ever return to south shore this is the only house we’d stay in!

We were a family of six adults and four children, four and under. This house gave us plenty of space. It is an older house with some needed updates. But it was clean, comfortable, and perfect for us. The beds were so very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again, and hope to next year!The host is the kindest person who wishes to ensure your comfort and needs are met. We felt at home. You can’t beat the location, especially with children. How convenient to walk across the street to the perfect ocean inlet for toddlers. It made it easy for those who needed naps to just walk back across while others stayed and enjoyed the ocean water. Just a few steps further was the perfect area for our experienced surfer in the family (you can bring or rent a board for a day or the week at the surf shop next door), and yet a few steps in the other direction you can body surf or board. Plus, beautiful park in the middle of it all. This inlet has turtles swim in daily to rest. Please give them their space and enjoy from a distance. By evening there can be 30 or more resting in this inlet. During winter months there has been recorded over 100 in this spot at one time.You have food within steps, as well as cocktails.Plenty of places to dine and shop just minutes away with your car. Be sure to drive to each end of the island to experience the whole beauty of Kauai. We had a lovely stay and will plan to return again next year! Thank you to our host Steve!!!
House was perfect for a beach vacation for 7 family members. Great view of the ocean and beach. Near restaurants. Sea turtles on the beach. Snorkeling and surf riding nearby. Air conditioning and fans. Full kitchen and laundry. Nice outdoor lanai.
House was great. Location would be tough to beat. Well stocked. Comfortable beds. Good A/C. Steve was very responsive and easy to deal with. Will definitely look at staying again. Thanks again Steve.

Great house right by Poipu and Brennecke's beach. Outdoor shower is super nice for getting the sand off after playing in the waves all day. Close to lots of places to eat. House is well put together, AC works really well.
Our family had such an amazing experience in Kauai! This property was a great location with everything our family of 7 could want. Just steps away from the beaches and such a comfortable house. Thanks to our host, Steve, all arrangements and contacts were easy and just as advertised. We hope to come back again sooooon!
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The location is top notch. It's a 3 minute walk to the beach, a 3 minute walk to Puka Dog, a 3 minute walk to Brennecke's... Just awesome. The lanai on the second floor is huge. The breeze was super nice all day. The second floor was very spacious. A nice layout. The kitchen was nice. The house is older. And you can definitely feel it. We had been getting bottled water during our stay, occasionally using the filtered water and ice from the fridge. The last day we ran out and the filter light came on the fridge. We realized after looking s little closer that the cleaners had not been maintaining that part of the fridge, so we ended up no longer using the ice or water. The first floor was spacious as well. It looks like they are in the process of renovating the first floor into something like an inlaw suite. It will look nice when it's done. The second bedroom downstairs was separated by a curtain and was very warm, even with the fan in the room. It was bareable mostly because it was not the peak of summer. The house overall could use a good deep cleaning. Like washing the rugs and carpets and getting a good mopping of the floors. The place was clean enough. But it just felt a little sticky.All this to say we really enjoyed this property. Sure there are things that could be a bit better. But overall it was a really good stay. The owner is an excellent communicator, which is always a huge plus. Highly recommend this location.

Plenty of room upstairs and down for sleeping, baths, and living area. Lanai was great for just hanging out and looking out over the ocean. Poipu Beach right across the street with excellent turtle watching and snorkeling, which we did every day. Steve, our host, was always accessible and great to work with.
As they stay in real estate, the three most important factors and considering purchasing a home are location, location, and location. For the location alone, you are not going to find a better property to rent, but the amenities and graciousness of the host go far beyond expectations. Our group had six, which was very easily accommodated with room to spare.Po’ipu Beach is an incredibly popular destination In Kauai. Whereas everyone else will be searching for parking for up to a half an hour, you will be taking a 3o second walk to see the turtles and the seals, watch the whales breach, snorkel and one of the most interesting coves, and body surf/boogieboard on one of the Local inlets. you will not be disappointed!
Our family of five adults, three children, and an infant enjoyed staying in this house for five days. The location was convenient, walking to the two beaches across the small road and 12 min walking distance to ShipWreck beach. The tennis court also has pickleball courts and we joined the locals in their open play in the morning. That was fun.The house is spacious, and we love sitting out and dining on the lanai. Plenty of towels and beach towels for use, and the outdoor shower with the wooden fence was great for cleaning up the kids before entering the house.The only surprise we had was somehow disappointing, as the second bedroom upstairs had no AC and was too warm to sleep despite the cooler temperature outside at night. We had to keep the living room AC on and use the small fan to blow air into the bedroom all night while sleeping. We were told that there is a plan to install AC in that bedroom in the future.The master bedroom I stayed in was nice, with a big bathroom and a good shower with good water volume and pressure.We are planning to stay in this house again. Hopefully, there will be a new iron and ironing board available to use the next time. Thanks for hosting us.
A great location and a nice home albeit somewhat more aged than I expected.
We enjoyed the house so much . Being right across the street from the beach and seeing the turtles come up every evening was amazing . The playground was an added bonus from our granddaughter. Host was very responsive and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend staying here
Wonderful location by the beach
The owner, Steve, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The home was perfect…well equipped and had everything you’d ever need. The location cannot be beat. The playground, the beach, the pickleball court, the turtles, restaurants within walking distance…all in all one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve ever had. We were all so happy to be there (5 adults, 1 toddler). Thank you.
The location of this ocean front house is ideal. It is steps away from two beaches that give endless fun for toddlers to seniors.
The house is spacious, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The upstairs and downstairs are essentially two separate units. The upstairs lanai and the two bedrooms have ocean view. The jalousie windows on the second floor let in ocean breeze and good circulation at night. One can have, as I did, the true Hawaiian experience of sleeping comfortably (in August with the A/C turned off ) and rock to sleep by surf sound and tree rustling.
The kitchen is well equipped. The availability of a outdoor propane grill, a large slow cooker and an rice cooker is especially great for preparing family meals. In the garage, sand toys are plentiful for the young. Surf boards, boogie boards and snorkeling gears are available for the active teens and adults. Beach chairs and umbrellas are for there for the not-so-young.
On the day of our arrival, the owner called to say he was replacing an appliance. The contractor was very nice and he gave us recommendations for places to visit. During our week long stay, the owner responded promptly to our requests and needs.
All of us had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.
We traveled with our adult kids and had a great time. The house was close to the beach and we had a great time boogie boarding, sitting on the deck watching the waves and hiking. The house had plenty of beach chairs and beach towels. Steve is great at making sure you have everything you need. Would definitely stay here again!
House was very big and well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen supplies. The owner is super responsive and responds to messages very quickly. Downstairs is a bedroom and bathroom with another room with 2 twin beds but NO door on that room and you have to walk through it to get upstairs so kinda not a bedroom… okay for kids. Main floor is nice and consists of well stocked kitchen and living room, master bedroom and bath with jetted tub…not exactly a “hot tub”. There is also another bedroom with a bath on the main level that has a door to the lanai but this room is NOT air-conditioned. There were fans but no AC and it was rather hot & toasty in that room but the rest of the house was very comfortable.There is also a hide-a-bed on the main floor in what could be a bedroom but again no door on this room. The property had beach chairs and beach toys. The lanai overlooked poipu beach and was next door to the famous Puka Dog. I enjoyed the house very much!
We selected Kauai for our family vacation. There were nine of us including my adult children and grandchildren. This house was perfect for us. It was clean, had plenty of beds, an excellent open kitchen, dining, living area and a patio with ocean views. Steve was great with communication and the house had everything we needed. It was also just a few steps to the beach where we enjoyed snorkeling, boogie boarding, and relaxing in the sun. My favorite part was watching the turtles swim up to the beach to rest overnight or watching them swim back into the ocean each morning. Truly amazing!! A perfect family vacation for all ages.

This home is perfect for any family. There were nine of us and so much room and we were able to spread out. It has all the comforts of home. The beach is right across the road which is not busy. You can see some of the most beautiful sunsets and see the green turtles in the evening. It is located in a great area. Our grandsons really enjoyed using the boogey boards.
Steve was terrific if I had any questions. He would get back to me immediately and said if we had any questions to just let him know. He is probably one of the best people we have ever had the pleasure of using their property. We had a blast and wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved this spacious beach house. The property is well taken care of. Great location and short walk to the park and beach to see the green sea turtles and Monk seals. The house had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. My wife and I especially loved leaving the louvered windows open and hearing the ocean at night. Loved our stay. We would highly recommend staying here! The host was quick to reply and was great with communications! Thanks Steve!
