We loved all the family-friendly amenities the owners provided, from portable cribs to plastic dinnerware for babies to a wide range of pool and beach toys. The unit really felt like a comfortable home that the owners use themselves instead of a sterile rental unit. There was a plumbing problem when we first arrived but the owners were very proactive and got it fixed for us immediately. We would definitely stay here again. Big Mahalo!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach equipment and 3 hiking poles were MUCH appreciated. There were a number of attentive extras that contributed to the comfort of our stay. Luggage racks were readily available. A filtered water pitcher in the refrigerator came in handy. Amenities like coffee, coffee filters, sugar, and condiments were very helpful.
A walk to the beach would be a trek. We would drive, as there were not sidewalks all along the route.
Stores in Poipu are expensive with limited selection. Definitely stop at the Safeway in Lihue for grocery shopping. Our Suburban-sized car seemed too big for the garage, so the extra parking space was very helpful.
Overall, the unit was very clean, without ants. We would stay there again when we return to Kauai. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. Thank you, Charles and Connie.
I've stayed in many vacation rentals - but none can compare to this listing in Koloa, Kauai. It was truly amazing! Clean, spacious and well furnished - it had everything we needed for our family vacation. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and couldn't have asked for more - we kept commenting throughout our stay about how fabulous the house was for us.
In addition to ample water and beach gear - I was most appreciative of the way the kitchen was really ready to support a family vacation. Most places have the basics - but this house had more than that....I was most impressed by the spices and basic ingredients that were there for our use. It made a huge difference!
Charles and Connie were outstanding hosts - both before and during our stay. Easy communication and a hospitable approach to everything. I can't recommend this enough!! Thank you!

The space was clean and welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet and close to most everything you could need. We walked to the nearby shopping center almost everyday. We loved all of the extras for our toddler, tons of swim toys!

Charles and Connie make sure you have all the swim, snorkel and beach stuff you’ll need. Plus a stocked kitchen with seasonings, spices, oils and condiments as well as paper products and baby plates and utensils. The bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and soap. Plenty of room for both families and a nice pool area with grills and a small baby pool. This place was great!! Would definitely recommend!!!
