With so much to enjoy on the resort grounds or within a short walk, a little planning goes a long way toward affordability on Maui: Dine at one of many local restaurants, catch happy hour and some of the best live music on Maui, all within a few hundred yards of our place. Skip the drive across the island to find turtles- they are right out front! Enjoy the privacy of our ground-floor residence with Koi Ponds and manicured tropical foliage just outside our lanai. Spend the day enjoying the resort amenities, including a heated swimming pool and hot tub, six barbeques, a covered cabana, a shuffleboard deck, and a twelve-hole putting green. Reserve a cabana to share food and fun at your own private party (holds up to 20 guests).
Relax by the seawall and enjoy unobstructed views of the islands of Molokai and Lanai. Humpback whales winter here from December through April, and the best sunsets on Maui occur each evening!
Stroll around the 13-acre property, and you'll understand why Papakea Resort is an award-winning destination. The immaculate grounds are lush with tropical horticulture, including Plumeria and palm trees, birds of paradise, and other tropical flora.
If you're up for a longer walk, take the path to the south of Papakea, across the canal bridge. From there, the Kaanapali Boardwalk stretches nearly three miles to Whalers Village, meandering along the famous coastline and resorts.
If you prefer a day on the beach, help yourself to our cooler, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and towels. We also have golf putters and pickleball paddles.
We spend most of the year at our Papakea Condo, so get it while you can! Over the years, we've made many improvements, including new tile floors, an upgraded bathroom with a walk-in shower, and new furniture/decorations.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for any meal. There is a safe, iron/ironing board, washer/dryer. New LG 48-inch QLED TV in the living room. Free WiFi in our unit and a hotspot in both cabanas.
With no ‘resort fees,’ the quoted price is final (for room, parking, and taxes). Any other fees would only apply to booking activities, etc.
PLEASE NOTE!!
- The resort is undergoing a plumbing renovation project. Our building is complete, and they are now working on buildings far removed from any noise/disruption, etc.

The condo is very clean, newly updated, ocean view from outside. AC in living and bedroom. The owner, Gregg is very nice and easy to get a hold of. We will for sure be back :)

This is my second time at Papakea Resort since I enjoyed the location and sunset views here. This time, I opted for ground level unit. This allowed us a backyard where we can just walk out and go to pool, ocean, and watch the sunsets.
Pros:
Location, very easy drive to many locations in West Maui like Lahaina, Kapalua, Napili, Kaanapali.
Noise level is good. Neighbors are considerate and not terribly loud
Ground level, nice outdoor table for brunch.
Cons:
Bugs
There were 4 black moths during our first night, all came out of hiding from the plants and curtains.
3rd night, found a cockroach.
Plants in vase were dead and dried up. Should be relaxed if you have new guests
Sofa bed/futon was heavily used. Sunken in and hard to sleep in. This place was advertised for 4 people but it would be hard to have two adults sleep in this sofa
Furnitures need to be dusted

Do not hesitate, this is a beautiful condo on a great property with all the amenities you need to enjoy Maui. We loved the location,it was easy to explore the many nearby beaches. The condo was exactly as described and very comfortable. Thank you Gregg and Debbie!

Great location, about 10 min to downtown Lahaina, 3 min car (10 walking) to Kaanapali beach, 12 min to Napili Bay.
Very charming apartment, nice decor.
Steps to the ocean, literally less than one minute walking to see a beautiful view.

We love staying at Papakea. This is our first time in this unit. It was a bottom floor and that was even better. The unit was nice and clean. The kitchen could use some higher quality utensils, but who’s cooking? Well, me, but I overcame. We had a noise with the a/c but used earplugs and reported the issue to the owner. Nothing that would keep me from renting this unit again. Thank you Greg!

Excellent complex and condo. Amazing views of Molokai and Lanai.. Stayed here for a week and explored the island. Definitely would come back and rent here again.

Is this the Ritz-Carlton? No. However, for anyone just needing a place to stay while 95% of your time is elsewhere on the island, this place has it all. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, cups, bowls, cooking items, etc. The washer/dryer was absolutely clutch and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The bottom floor allowed us quick access to the water and wonderful views. Check-in process was quick, easy and the location was near food, grocery, coffee shops and an ABC store. Would certainly stay again.
