The room was nice but could use a little TLC! Screen doorwas almost impossible to close - someone will break it trying so hard! We fixed the toilet and the ceiling fan in living room did not work at all. Still was comfortable though. The other thing was the construction right across from us was incredibly loud! Takes away from a relaxing day at the pool! Still giving it a "good"!
This unit was great for us. We had awesome views of the ocean, the whales we could see from the lanai, and the easy walk to the boardwalk and beaches. The unit has some wear, but everything worked well and we enjoyed our stay
There were many things to love about our stay. The property is lovely and perfect for a family. The view from our deck was beautiful. The unit itself was nice. The kitchen had all the amenities for us to cook. The furniture was updated and comfortable. We had one issue with the kitchen sink which was dealt with by maintenance. There are a couple of things that could have been better. First, the bedrooms were very hot, even with the ceiling fans. There was a standing fan in a closet that did not work, which could have helped at least one couple. The ac unit worked but it spit out black debris that we had to sweep up every morning. The location of all the modems sits just below, so I suspect they are filled with it too. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The property was beautiful, and unit was tastefully furnished and the beds confortable. The only drawback was the way the layout of the building. When neighbors would talk loudly in the evening the noise would amplify in the corridor and sound like they were talking right outside the window. Tried to get security to quiet the neighbors down but was told by the management company that they did not manage the unit in question so they could not do anything to assist. Unfortunate experience.
Very nice unit. Wonderful views. Kitchen stocked well, adequate parking. Very close to market and restaurants. The only thing is the bedrooms are stuffy as there is no AC vents in bedrooms. Very small window above bed. Portable fan in closets that we found and had to use all night. OK for winter but in summer hotter months not sure how well fans would work for sleeping. Overall though, very comfortable condo.
Pros- The place has a great view and has been updated.
Cons- Master bedroom has a small bed that is extremely uncomfortable. Every morning you have to put the fitted sheet back on because it pops off when you lay down and get up. It is to small and the bed is so hard that when you move around on it the fitted sheet pops of the corners.
I know that the climate in Hawaii is very tropical and so you may find some bugs or pests, that being said, there were ants throughout the condo on all the counter tops (even in the bathrooms) and in the kitchen cabinets crawling on the dishes. We told the management company and they offered to come put some ant traps in the condo and told us that they spray up to 6 times a year for bugs and you have to expect that in tropical climates. We declined because we weren't going to be there. It would not stop the problem anyway. There are too many ants throughout the condo. It is on the 3rd floor and my parents were staying in another condo on the first floor and never saw a bug or pest!! We have stayed at Papakea many times and never had a problem like this. They even had us send a video to prove what we were saying. Like I said the condo is in a great location BUT BEWARE you will probably go home with ant bites! We did. We also had to keep ALL food in the refrigerator. It was very annoying to deal with and they never offered any discount for our inconvenience.
We really enjoyed our stay at K305, and we even extended our stay. The Unit was recently remodeled, the kitchen and bathrooms are modern and new. Papakea Resort staffs keep the pool and hot tub very clean, they constantly clean the chairs and BBQ grills. This made us feel comfortable spending a lot time there. We made our reservation through MyPerfectStays. The staffs at MyPerfectStays are super friendly, very helpful and responsive.
