We loved everything about it with a couple minor complaints and one issue. The minor is there was exactly one beach towel per person registered and one was a child's towel (the room sleeps four, four full size beach towels would have been appreciated). The other minor thing was running out of toilet paper and dish soap after four days with two days to go. Felt a bit cheap that we had to buy our own full size replacements (at the not-so-low Maui prices) for two days. The larger issue was the bed was unreasonably high (came almost to my hip bone, about 37 inches). I'm 5'10 and had to climb up onto it and it was very difficult and dangerous for my very disabled husband to transfer onto it and he's 6'0. Other than those things, the room was beautiful and clearly newly renovated, had a/c in both the main area and the bedroom, great location and the grounds/pools/cabanas/etc on the property are incredible.
First trip since fires. Love this ground floor room. Great view of the water. 1 minute walk to pool and ocean wall. New air conditioning worked fabulous. New bed was comfy. Well maintained, well stocked for cooking. Spent more time at the bbq this trip. Had everything we needed. Resort was well maintained as always. Quieter than usual, everyone we encountered was friendly. Resort is housing a few displaced families. They were friendly, some spoke of their personal experiences and how they are moving forward. Volunteered for Humane Society at one of their hubs, was always met with graciousness. The businesses want visitors on the west side, and need visitors. Locals want to get back to work, want to move forward. Lahaina is off limits. Be respectful and stay out of Lahaina. This trip pushed me to explore areas outside my norm, and choose new places to eat. It was a wonderful experience. Volunteering made me feel like I was doing something helpful. Visit the markets and put money back into the area. It's greatly appreciated. Can't wait to come back to the resort.
We visited the condo and really enjoyed ourselves. The condo has everything you need and more. All the kitchen gadgets including an air fryer which was great for breakfast cooking. It has beach chairs and other outdoor items which was great. The pool is directly in front of the back patio so going back and forth to the pool to the room when we needed something was simple. The view is incredible, sitting in the patio and enjoying the morning sun with a cup of coffee or a drink and a sunset at night. The bed was very comfy and everything worked perfectly.
A highly recommend unit
This condo is great! We love the location. The property was perfect for our family of 3. The only thing i wish we had was enough toilet paper to last our entire stay and had baggies and aluminum foil maybe cling wrap. I have stayed at many vrbo houses and condos and never had to purchase these items. I am sure if i asked for more tp they would have brought it to us, but i and maybe most people would not want to bother the host for this.
Love the ground floor. Especially nice when using the barbecues to walk right back into unit. . Close to pool, beach wall and perfect sunset views. Condo was super clean upon arrival. Looking forward to the next trip back.
My wife and I had an amazing time. Loved being on the ground floor and the closet full of snorkel and beach equipment was a nice added bonus. We will definitely be back!
Loved the ground floor. Great for access to barbecues by pool and seawall. Great views. Had a problem with ice maker, called My Perfect Stays, they took care of the problem right away. New smart tv, signed into our own Netflix/Prime accounts for night time movies. Plenty of dishware, pots/pans, utensils to work with. Definitely coming back again.
The Condo was great, the only exception was the Microwave went out and portable unit was provided. Using the TV was a experience, getting Netflix was easy but getting local or cable was exercise in frustration. Using the directions in the book gave little help. Suggest finding a more realistic method for cable or regular channels. Overall, nice clean, comfortable stay. We have been coming to Maui (Papakea) starting in the early 90's, always a good stay.
