Welcome to Papakea #A109. This ground floor Maui vacation rental offers direct ocean front views from the A building at the beautiful Papakea Resort. The remodeled condo allows for up to 4 occupants with a queen size bed and a queen sofa sleeper. New stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, Tile flooring throughout with a tiled vanity and walk-in shower. Unit #109 is located on north end of the A building which allows for extra privacy. The living room features a 30 inch Panasonic TV and a Sony PlayStation. There is a window AC unit in the living room only with ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom.

*Resort will collect a $25 per day Facilities Use Fee + tax which will be payable to the front desk upon check-out. Facility Fee includes Usage of: Pools, Cabana's, Shuffle Board, Tennis Courts plus Putting Greens Including Equipment Rental. 10 day/$170 maximum per calendar month

Reviewer Comments:
We enjoyed our stay in A109 Papakea but with several provisos. Our ocean front location was good but was beside the path between 2 properties and there was continuous foot traffic beside us. The frosted glass window on that side of the unit made things dark along with the dark furniture. We felt that the unit should have been upgraded some time ago. The colors were dark, the bathroom fixtures were probably 15-20 years old and with no place to put our toiletries. We had a great deal of difficulty with the Wifi. We had very intermittent internet access, I believe due to an ancient router. The beach chairs, and umbrella were in poor condition and the umbrella itself was already broken when we tried to use it. We had ordered and paid for 4 beach towels, of which only 2 were in the unit when we arrived. We finally received the other two 4 days later only to find that they were old and very rough and seemed to be oversize bath towels. On our arrival night, we had problems getting into our unit but were assisted by a very pleasant and helpful security guard after midnight. We found that the furniture on the lanai was excellent. We felt that for the price we paid, we expected a more updated unit.
