Everything was SO clean. Loved the extras in kitchen cabinet to help us navigate meals through the week. Amazing location, close to everything you want to visit up north. The private access to the beach was impressive. This beach turned out to be our favorite on Kauai.

We had a great stay at Pali Ke Kua. The grounds are beautiful with fantastic views and the location is ideal for exploring beaches and activities around Princeville. The unit accommodations were comfortable and clean with a nice layout. The only challenging aspect is the upstairs loft, which can be overwhelmingly hot, particularly in the afternoon. There is a portable AC unit in the room but it was putting out mostly warm air (likely from overwork). We are from Seattle so likely more sensitive to heat than most visitors. Other than that, everything else was wonderful.

We loved this location! Excellent views from the place. Beach chairs were available to go to the cliff's edge to watch the sunset or throw on your back to walk down to the water. Very relaxing. The unit itself was nicely set and the air conditioning worked perfectly for us. Host was responsive and accommodating. Our flight wasn't leaving until later in the day so we really appreciated being able to enjoy the last day for a reasonable/flexible late check out. Hope to go back! Thanks!

The condo view is amazing and the outdoor patio was nice. The main floor is nice and well equipped however the loft had a broken fan, a ceiling fan that only turns slowly and a very ineffective window ac unit. It was extremely difficult to make the loft comfortable to sleep in. Two adults ended up sleeping on the sofa downstairs. I would also recommend that a Building number is provided in the address to make it easier to find. Good condo for two adults but difficult for more than that due to the very hot loft area.
Beautiful location and proper manager communication was excellent. Property had everything that we needed.
We loved our stay. We were here 14 years ago in a two bedroom with our kids. This condo was a one bedroom with pull out couch- very clean and comfortable. Loved the chocolate macadamia nuts ( we bought 4 more boxes while there)! Our only recommendation is the outdoor furniture was not very comfortable and could be replaces. Thanks again and we will be back soon
Quick 4 day 3 night on an island hopping trip. Stay longer if you can
The property has a beautiful view. We didn’t care for the stairs inside the unit. The air conditioning is loud, and performs average in the living area, better in the bedroom. The unit is very well stocked.

We have stayed in several Princeville locations; Kali Ke Pua has become our favorite, from the comfortable condo to the beautiful views. We enjoyed the welcome each morning from the nene and the geese.The kitchen was very well appointed, and we enjoyed the tropical fans and large windows, the very nice patio. Hope to come back next winter.
This property was awesome! It was very clean and was the perfect place to stay after exploring Kauai. The views of the mountains on the North Shore were something to see. I would recommend this property to anyone that would like to stay in Kauai.
The condo was located in a quiet, beautifully landscaped setting. The view of the ocean from the lanai was lovely. The condo furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well equipted.
Unit has three after market floor air conditioners. They are very loud and barely keep up with the afternoon heat. We couldn't keep the bedroom unit on at night or the living room unit on when we were there. Everything else was great.
Very nice condo in Princeville. The view was wonderful out over the ocean and the property was very peaceful...just what we were looking for.
The unit was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a stay in Princeville. The pictures in the listing were accurate and the ocean view spectacular. We also found the condo’s beach gear quite useful.
The only downside was the warm temperature upstairs. There is an AC unit upstairs but it struggles to keep up.
We had a great stay at Pali Ke Kua #241. The location was great, easy to find, grounds were beautiful, beds were comfortable and the condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Basic spices and oil in the cabinets.
Things I wished I knew before:
- #1 - Air conditioning was completely necessary! We had all 3 air conditioners on full blast when we were in the condo and couldn't maintain 75F - and it wasn't abnormally hot! The late sun shining in the windows and loft layout makes this a warm condo! We were comfortable with the air conditioners.
- #2 - Beach. Okay - the "private beach access" is definitely private - the walk down is VERY steep. My husband and I (late 30s) and kids (8, 6) had no issues navigating it, but expect a leg workout on the way up, and careful steps on the way down. The beach is beautiful with course sand and black rock formations - and not another soul in sight! I would not say it is good for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding or snorkeling.
#3 - the advertised "BBQ" is at the beach... meaning down that super steep hill I just mentioned... and they are charcoal grills, so you'll need to purchase and haul charcoal down the hill. No thanks. There are no other grills on the property.
#4 - the pool and hot tub were clean and decently sized (not huge). The pool lights come on super late - way after sunset.
#5 - skip the Hidaway Pizza and go to Tiki Pizza instead at the Hanalei bay resort. GREAT Pizza and views of the bay!

ReMax coordinates the stay and we didn't receive the door code to access the unit without having to figure out how to communicate with them. Cell service in Princeville is very spotty! When we got to the room it was 87 degrees inside (windows were closed and the 3 portable A/C units were off). It was supposedly a mistake and ReMax did make it right so no biggie in the end. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the 6 beach towels were large and helpful. The unit also had 4 beach chairs, a cooler and an umbrella. Not to mention an amazing view over the Pacific.

This condo is as described and in a great location. Place was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and various beach toys. View was amazing too with lovely sunsets in the evening. And the air conditioning was definitely a plus. We definitely needed it!
This rental unit was great! It was very clean, and very well stocked. It had everything we needed and more. The views from the living area and lanai are fantastic! And it was just a short walk to beautiful hideaways beach. When we come back to Kauai this is definitely a place we’d love to stay at again.
This unit was a good fit for our family. We did not spend much time there as we were out exploring much of the time. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. A/C was very much appreciated! We received a complaint about noise from the unit below us, as a well-traveled family and owner-host myself, this was a surprise as this has never happened to us. So I would say walk lightly, perhaps the walls are thinner than usual.

We really enjoyed everything about the condo. Our only concern was the mold on the shower curtain. Other than that, it was perfect, down to the coffee and Kauai cookies waiting for us.
We spent a lovely week at Pali Ke Kua - the condo had everything our family of 4 needed (we
cooked lots of breakfasts and really appreciated the beach chairs and beach umbrella!). The view of the ocean from the lanai was such a gift! Tons of beautiful birds and little lizards to watch, and beautiful grounds. We enjoyed the pool and we hiked down the trail to Hideaways beach and grilled on the bbq. Lots of great food and beaches nearby.
One more general thought — our wish would be that the complex’s path to the beach was public (not just at Pali Ke Kua but throughout the island). We were so happy to see that all of the beaches on Kaua’i are public, and would love to see that welcoming spirit extended with fewer private access points from hotels and condos.

We had a wonderful time in Kauai! The condo was just what we needed. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. Each kid had their own bed, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the view was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.
Never could get the TV working correctly. Prop manager came once, but not again. Asked for a blanket, info on how to operate portable heaters. Nothing. A little disappointing considering the price. But the setting is fine and accommodation adequate.
Princeville is a beautiful area. The only thing I was disappointed is that the listing stated a short private path to the beach. It was not a short walk and the pathway was a bit dangerous to walk in as it is a pretty steep climb down, no stairs just pavement. However, it was a short drive to Hanalei Beach so it worked out. Also, quite a bit of bugs in the beach home - mainly in the bathrooms. Overall, it was a nice place with an incredible view.
