We loved staying at this lovely home. We opened the door and it immediately felt like home. Extremely clean and neat located and walkable to downtown and only a few minutes from the airport and major roads for activities. Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Our host, Simone, was lovely and left a welcome note, coffee and cookies along with other thoughtful touches throughout.It was the perfect place for our family and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nicely furnished, good location for sightseeing, good host.
We loved this VRBO for our time on the big island. Very nice, clean, and spacious with everything we needed and then some! Relatively close to Mauna Kea and VNP with plenty of fun things to do nearby in Hilo. Would stay here again!
We had a great stay! House was as advertised and very clean. We appreciated the Owner's attention to details and thoughtfulness to ensure we had a nice stay!
Property was well stocked and clean. Owners had great communication, seamless check in and check out.
Charming and spacious house. Location was close to everything - stores, restaurants, waterfalls and beach. Had a great stay and could tell the hosts thought of little details to make our stay extra special - provided flashlights (if you're going to the caves), cold water ready in pitcher, bath mat so littles don't slip in the tub, beach gear, umbrellas for rainy days (which is frequent in Hilo), etc.
The house looks like it was built maybe in the 1940’s (guessing) and is really well kept and decorated nicely! The bedrooms have AC but not the living room so it gets hot. We had everything we needed. It was a convenient location to check out the Hilo side of the island. We enjoyed the little house and the area. I would stay here again.
You can't go wrong booking this home. The host has thought of everything! All the little touches that make a place special are included. Great communication from the host, as described in the listing with very comfortable beds. This home was spotless and homey. We appreciated the welcome gift so much. This was a lovely house for our stay in Hilo. Close to the old town and lots of restaurants and shops. We really appreciated the air conditioners in the bedrooms. The house was clean, everything worked (yay clean laundry!), and the host communicated just the right amount. Definitely recommend.45 minutes from Volcanoes National Park and also 45 minutes from the Mauna Kea visitor center. Rainbow falls is close too. This location is really great.
Perfect for our group of four! Centrally located in Hilo. Was able to walk to everything. Very accommodating hosts who were able to extend our stay last minute. Would book again.

Paddler's Inn is a very comfortable and well appointed old-style Hilo home. A/C was great which made sleeping wonderful. The neighborhood was very quiet (except for the frogs...which we like) and safe. Conveniently close to downtown Hilo and many of our favorite restaurants.
We had a great experience at the Paddlers Inn. The house was clean and as described. The neightborhood was quiet (except for some nature noises that we actually enjoyed) despite what I had read in other reviews. All communication with property owner was prompt and helpful. Although AC is not a normal thing in houses in Hawaii it was great to have the window units in the bedrooms to keep cool while sleeping. The location was great. Close to groceries and the beach. Easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for 5 days in May. The home was clean, well supplied and served as a great location for all our adventures on the East coast of the big island. Check-in was easy and straight forward, parking wasn’t an issue, and the host treated us to a cute welcome basket. Lots of beach supplies, and groceries were nearby. Walking distance to the center of town in a safe neighborhood. Would recommend.

This clean and charming rental was the perfect place for our family of 4 to relax and enjoy our time in Hawaii. We liked walking to the shops, museums, restaurants, farmer's market, and grocery store. Other attractions (gorgeous beaches & parks, HI bioreserve & garden, Onomea Trail, exploring historic Honoka'a and staring in awe over the Waipio Valley, watching the sunset above the clouds on Muana Kea) were easy and scenic drives away. The home came with everything that we needed and more. We stayed in HI for 3 weeks, living at 4 different vacation rentals. They were all wonderful, but the amenities, thoughtfulness, and special touches that the hosts provided in this one were above and beyond compared to the others.
Paddlers Inn was a lovely home situated a short distance from downtown Hilo! You can walk to a grocery store and beautiful beaches are just a 5-10 minute drive away! Home has what you need to enjoy the sun and sand! Place was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear, blender for cold drinks after a day in the sun!!! Definitely will be back!
Amazing stay. They thought of everything for us. Nice little touches from the snacks down to ice cold water in the refrigerator. The places is very clean and well maintained. Great proximity to things, but far enough away. Would recommend to stay and would stay again!
